I received this as a gift from a perfume friend. Perhaps he understood my love of the alien, the heavy, the dirty very well. This could've been a declaration of love. The jasmine is heavy, giant and leathery. It wraps around you like a white-green coat made of thick flower petals. Then that creamy ambergris musk pushes through. Adding something even more thick to the mix, and something lightly dirty without ever getting fecal or pissy. This is a hyde-like jasmine flower that does not stop. You will smell it on your skin all day, and the next. Your clothes will smell of it forever. The bottle+sample scheme is genius too! I've since bought another fragrance that I will review soon. Oliver deserves a lot of love for this scent.

In my opinion this is the scent out of the Mutant Flowers line that fits the theme best, and also the most interesting one. It's a jasmine bomb. A wild mix of natural, realistic, even indolic facets of the flower, warm tea and soapy synthetic cleanliness, but all undeniable jasmine. Calamus is a plant that grows on the edges of ponds and rivers and in swamps. I'm not sure what it smells like in real life, but this fragrance definitely has some greenness and an aquatic freshwater vibe, so I can imagine that a mutation of jasmine and calamus would smell like this. This is not something I would wear, but it's a refreshing take on a floral and I enjoyed testing it. I got this sample in a crowdfunding last year and was not very pleased with the customer experience. Let's hope this gets better when the brand comes back in fall.

!!! Everyone who wants to order should know! Unfortunately, many people have written that orders are not arriving. I ordered twice years ago, when the brand was still very fresh. Now it has turned into a giant scam. Just read the comments on the official instagraam page... lots of disappointed people. I ordered two bottles a year ago, they haven't arrived since then, they don't reply to anyone's emails. Be careful.. The perfumer, Oliver, has been the subject of some very bad rumours. It's sad that he fools people so easily. we wanted to support him, but we just lost our money.
