Exotic Oud

I'm excited about the opening with captivating Black currant and fruity Marigold, but like in Amber Shadow, the opening notes quickly disappear. Saffron takes its place and a very small fruity nuance lingers for a while. However, in this fragrance, the notes that you might imagine from looking at the note list don't immediately come into play. Oud, Musk and leather together sound heavy and intense, but in this fragrance they are not. It takes a while for the Oud Accord to creep into your nose, but it is extremely cautious, distant and thin. I don't understand at all that the name of the fragrance is Exotic Oud. The name is just as misleading as "Oud for Greatness (Eau de Parfum) | Initio" (this doesn't remind me of it tho) . This fragrance is light, delicate and translucent even fresh from time to time. It's easy, and in no way animalistic. The tender leather is like a gentle blanket over all the other notes and the even more delicate Oud tries to make itself heard underneath it. The scent is not resinous, balsamic, but a gentle earthyness is noticeable from the saffron. Also, the musk does not bring any kind of sensual aroma to the scent, rather the white musk dominates, keeping the scent really clean. The scent is simple and doesn't reveal new facets with each wearing. Overall, the aroma of the fragrance is pleasant and easy, but there's nothing about it that would pique my interest enough to want a bottle. The scent is completely unisex, but like in "Amber Shadow | Avau" , towards the end the leather aroma intensifies and the feminine aspects disappear.
