Absolute By Elite Gentleman

Today I took the liberty to maybe amaze you with my choice. I had already read several very positive opinions about this perfume but did not pretend to make a blind purchase. While I was browsing through some WEB shops last week, I noticed again this perfume and its price of 11 Euros for a 50ml bottle. I bought it blindfolded without blinking. Apparently, the twenty-plus comments I had already read about Absolute by Elite Gentleman were true. If this nectar was in a Mr Ford bottle, and if it was called "F.... Woody", it would be sold like popcorn on a Saturday sunny afternoon, and for 10 to 15 times the price. In a nutshell, this is a synthetic, non-medicinal Oud fragrance. It has a dominant amber background, along with hints of cedar, orris, burnt sugar, pipe tobacco and ambergris. This is a real bargain that is hard to believe. By no means think this is an oud offering just for the 'poor and needy'. Because it has none of the aggressive nuances one might associate with agarwood, and because of its forgiving price, it is perhaps an obvious choice for 'oud beginners'. However, any oud expert will also appreciate this fragrance. Can it compare with any reputable oud fragrances? Of course, it can, and I can even point to several examples. I risk a sufferable resemblance to Chopard's Oud Malaki. I can also 'park' it next to Oud Wood and Versace Oud Noir, but only if you add to the latter, a slight nuance of pipe tobacco and burnt sugar. The performance is very acceptable, and the people around me seem very comfortable with the not at all intrusive aroma spread around me. It generates curiosity by its oriental hue and the pleasant smell of the woody notes. The simplicity of the notes listed does not let you guess the level of quality it reveals. At the opening, I almost don't notice the Italian lemon note that is trumpeted and you can immediately feel a very well-behaved synthetic oud that marks the overall tone of the fragrance. In my opinion, the Ambermax® note listed for the base is the real secret of this perfume. The ingredient is produced by Givaudan, and it stands for very high levels of efficiency and power to deliver a rich note of dry amber. As a plus, it develops woody cedarwood and iris/orris earthy facets. My opinion: Absolute by Elite Gentleman is a unisex perfume and a clear example of "high value for money". For its quality, it becomes a curious and desirable perfume for those who like oriental perfumes, and a must for lovers of oud and amber in particular. Don't try to buy a decant to test this perfume. It is much cheaper to buy a whole new bottle. Music: Damien Rice - "The Blower's Daughter"

I'm an old-school fan (think Polo, Jazz and Kouros) so I like the bold fragrances and this is certainly bold. The citrus opening doesn't last long at all. It quickly settles into a stable, pleasant, warm smokey oud scent. It's synthetic for sure, but there are no rough edges anywhere. It's not cloying even when overdone. Longevity is outstanding. Hours and hours. The drydown is the best part. By coincidence, I recently tried Boss Bottled Parfum. Their openings are nothing like each other, but the drydown of both is quite similar, though the Boss takes a far more interesting journey to get to the drydown. Absolute Elite is very linear. If you're into Avon, this layers very well with Black Suede. It's well worth trying this layering combo. You might be pleasantly surprised. I got this for £8 from my doorstep Avon rep. An absolute bargain. If I smelled this on someone else and they told me it was a £60+ designer fragrance I would believe them. I'll certainly be checking out other Avons.

Personaly to me this one is mix of some oud fragrance like Acqua di Parma Colonia Oud and something spicy-tobacco-resinious like Pascal Morabito Sultan Noir/Mancera Red Tobacco/CH Mystery Tobacco. On the skin of my wrist lasts 6+ hours. On clothes - after 4 days i still feel it quite strong and distinguish. Perfect one on a very tight budget. I purchased it for about 8 EUR(50ml) gift set with 250ml shower gel(which one is so so). Rate 10 of 10.

Reminds me a bit of Boss The Scent Private Accord (minus Maninka and that splendid opening), but like a zestier and at the same time more ambery version akin to Azzaro Amber Fever, though slightly less sweet than Azzaro. Lasts long (8+ hours), smells delicious, and if I were to be completely honest, I prefer this one over both Boss and Azzaro (disclaimer: I own all three). The price is just ridiculous, 10 euros for a 50 ml bottle.

This is a great-value perfume that smells like an expensive cologne. It opens with a lemony note which turns into a more woody and sweet(not overwhelmingly sweet) smell later. It lasts 6+ hours on my skin. But the main thing that makes this fragrance worth buying is that everyone will think that it belongs to a designer house like nYc Bond Series or Tom Ford.

Absolutely love this perfume. Since I discovered it, I want to wear it every day. I wanted to use it as cheaper everyday perfume, but because of the good scent and good longevity, I am wearing it on any kind of occasion. Bought 2 more bottles immediately after receiving the first one. 10/10 for the price.

First fragrance I ever bought. It's a nice, cheap fragrance. Good performance with decent sillage for me ~8-9 hours for me. Very nice opening and doesn't smell too synthetic. Oud could be of better quality but overall I enjoy the perfume.

Is it possible that Absolute by Exclusive by Avon is the same as this Elite? And produced for another continent with a name change? Anyway, to me, this points more towards Chopard Malaki Oud than Gucci Intense Oud. I love them all.

Absolute bargain. Reminds me of Guerlain L'home ideal intense, it not the same not even very close but it has the same easy wear anytime vibe. Love it.

OMG! Avon did a miracle with this beautiful scent. It lasts almost 7 hours long and sillage is like 2-3 meters. Cherry-cognac-rose-oud, perfect.

Smells amazing for low the price, gives me like 60% of The One Royal Night Dolce&Gabbana but here you can feel the oud makes the difference.

An incredible bargain fall / winter fragrance. Amber and oud with smoky edges and light sweetness For the asking price it is a no brainer.

Avon did his best. For the price, it's a very solid scent. Strong, amber and bitter-woody, a hint of synthetic oud surrounded by amber and delicate cutrus. It smells more expensive than the price indicates. Seeing that it was Avon, I expected poor parameters and was surprised when it turned out that the parameters were really good. It lasts about 8 hours on the skin and is noticeable on clothes almost all day long. Projection is initially very high, but quickly becomes moderate and after 2 hours it becomes more skin-like, but still noticeable. However, there is something that lowers my rating. The scent has a lot of Red Tobacco Mancera in it. I don't like this scent and I feel a similar, aggressive atmosphere in Absolute. You can feel it especially in the first hours when the scent emanates quite strongly. It is then a bit too sharp with a similar synthetic overtone. When the projection calms down after about 2 hours, the sharpness disappears and the aroma turns into a very pleasant, warm, amber scent. 7/10

I ordered a bottle for about 10 Euros. This is proof that a fragrance doesn't need to have dozens of notes and wear a 3 figure price tag in order to be beautiful. It definitely is unisex, leaning more on the masculine side. Woody, smokey and dark with a hint of sweetness - that's what I get. I don't feel the lemon, though. Rest assured, it has no Avon DNA, so you won't feel it's cheap smelling. As someone said below, this perfume could be Bottled in Tom Ford Bottled and it would be praised and sold for 150 dollars or more. Appropriate for cold weather only. I think it would smell very sexy on a man.

This is the type of perfume I like on men: ambery and warm. I wear this too as I bought it for myself. This reminds me of some Tom Ford perfume... or some fragrance I owned. A way way more expensive one. Absolute is a rich, deep and strong scent. The colour scheme is a perfect fit. Good for evenings. I am certainly not disappointed. I can see this worn during the cold seasons through the evening to the night. EDIT: smelling this first thing in the morning, I can confidently say - this smells like one of Thierry Mugler's, maybe A*men!

the biggest compliment getter in my collection 🧐 very odd especially considering its the cheapest one i have, got 3 compliments in school when i wore it (most ive gotten is 2 and that was from a fragrance nearly 5x more expensive). in my opinion the scent is nice, but nothing to be amazed about. the value is AMAZING however, i would recommend this as a first fragrance.

Great longevity for pennies. Highly recommended. Strong ambery and oudy fragrance.

GUYS IF YOU HAVE THE FIRST DATE OF TURKISH ROSE FROM AVON OR SOMETHİNG SİMİLAR MİX THEM. I bought this after mixing and trying with the first date of Turkish rose but couldn't get my hands on the rose perfume. This itself is a bit more sour, it might give you headache or your nose and throat might get a little tired. It is strong. I love mixing it with my sweet scents which I dont enjoy smelling like a fake candy. I think that it's suitable for layering but not wearing alone because its really mature and old. But if you layer it right every age can use.

A cheaper smelling copy of "Bentley for Men Intense" without the strong projection and the longevity. It is definitely good for the price point and is one of the better Avon fragrances. It stays on my skin for 4-6 hours. The projection is really weak, you couldn't tell I had perfume on if we weren't hugging each other or something. The smell itself is really nice considering the price point.

A.E. Avon is a stronger version of Beckham Classic. It is a heavy fragrance mostly for winter. Oud well balanced with something sweet (maybe amber). Very nice bottle at a good price! If you like this kind of perfumes then buy it!

The real listed notes of this fragrance: Top: Italian lemon Heart: Oud Base: Ambermax® This is an extremely likeable and friendly fragrance. Gentle and even "transparent", yet powerful, although it doesn't scream. I feel frustrated, because generally these style of fragrances just don't play well on me, and I'd so much want to join the fun! Comparison to Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir , yes, I can see that. But how do I put it... If Oud Noir is a fragrance creation, then Absolute by Elite Gentleman in its wholeness is like one part of Oud Noir's base. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, not at all! Mandatory side-note: the "oud" in this one is mainstream western oud type, so nothing to fear or worry about. If you're after a pungent and heavy oud, this is not it. So yeah, highly recommended, if you like this style of fragrances! And the pricing is quite attractive... This could easily cost ten times more. And then, there's not too much more to say than what Carlitos has said, below. 👍

Blind buy. Not impressed. mediocre longevity, underwhelming sillage. Wood, amber, a little dry, little smoke, minimal sweetness, I feel like it doesn't have the depth of a more quality fragrance. Doesn't smell like a luxury fragrance to me, and not in the same league as something like ADP Colonia oud as someone below said.

This was one of my blind buys a few years ago as it was so cheap on some preloved site, £5 all in I think. Pleasant enough, especially for an Avon scent which are usually awful in my experience - aside from a few they collabed with, I recall a few of their Christian Lacroix ones being decent. I have the Ambre which is a fairly good budget frag. I gave Elite away to my cousin as it was a touch cloying for me. Fast forward to August 2023, and I finally got one of the real cheapie hype monsters, Bentley For Men Intense, I pulled the trigger after seeing it for a little over £15 on Notino. To me they're almost one and the same, the Bentley is of a higher quality for sure, but pretty much the same DNA, to my nose at least. I instantly remembered the Avon when I first sprayed the Bentley, just took a few minutes for it to come back. If you like one, you'll probably like the other, but get Bentley if you don't have either, it's cheaper per ML and it's much better juice. I'll likely end up giving this away too, it's nice enough, but with so many frags and Autumn/Winter being already covered by soooo many bangers, I don't think I'll reach for this at all. If you don't have 50+ colder weather bottles already though, this would be a great starting point at a very good price, it's much better than a car manufacturers cash in should ever be. Mercedes Club Black is better mind, just more expensive, and that's when/if you can find it.

unisex, lovely, masculine but if you like your ouds, go for it ladies, genderless in that sense, with a touch of citrus and sweetness but not overly sweet And I bought for £9 at notino. Fantastic projection on moisturised skin I s**t you not, I bought a cheap montale which I am returning - £38 - I just wanted to say I owned a montale expecting magic - it was black musk. Faded after an hour and the clone of black aoud from perfume parlour I have outperforms it by far. This one is shining bright and smelling wonderful. I'll stick where I belong, the undiscovered gems of notino, lattafa, perfume parlour, emir perfumes, franck olivier and afnan and armaf. If you are paying more than £25 something aint right

A very well rounded oud fragrance, open with a sharp lemon but this lemon dont last long, right away it give space to the oud and amber, very linear fragrance wich is not bad, the quality is superb, u can wear this with no fear, i got a lot of compliments, even more than my niche frags

Amazing value for money. My other half bought this but I'll be borrowing it regularly. It reminds me of my Shagaf Oud and Lataffa Oud Mood. It's the Oud note obviously. Really surprised that Avon make one like this. Very impressed. Absolutely unisex if you like Oud and Shagaf

For me, the open is in the same family with, franck olivier, oud touch and jacques bogart, one man show, oud edition. At final, I smell something like lattafa opulent oud. Above average performance. Good fragrance, no problem to blind buy.

A fresher cleaner take on Bentley for Men Intense and much more wearable. It's cozy, warm and a great winter scent especially for the price.

Trust me! you can not find a better fragrance for this price.. this smells as expensive as a mid to high end designer fragrance. 10/10

I really like strong scents and I like this a lot. To My nose it is a clone of colonia oud and mancera red tobacco.
