Apple Blossom

Before they sold most of it to housing developers, my grandparents used their midwestern farmland to cultivate apple trees. I find apple blossoms nostalgic, I love the scent. Avon Apple Blossom is crisp, dewy, fresh, and sweet. Watery, green top notes accompanied by pure apple blossom. I think cassis is a large component of the perfume. As it sits, it gradually becomes soapy & musky. The scent remind me of running around on my grandparent's property as a toddler. It's a great reconstruction, very realistic. My grandmother's bathroom always smelled like this, so maybe she used it. I know she used to buy Avon products. More of a 90s DNA, but if Fragrantica is to be believed, it came out in '83. If true, this perfume was ahead of its time.

A sweet, simple apple blossom scent. I remember this one from when I was a kid. It was another one not allowed in the house, but my sister always snuck some from one of her friends (she's big into apple scent) in fact now that I've tested this one it's getting mailed across the country to her as a belated birthday gift. So, here's how she stacks up, I only applied her to my wrists, since I kinda knew she'd be going to my sister after this. Immediately a lovely, crisp, slightly green apple blossom scent hits. She dried down over the first hour into a gentler apple blossom and white musk. simple as that. She's not complicated and she never needed to be. I wish Avon would bring this back along with its Little Blossom and Pretty Peach. All of these were great for tweens. Slightly sweet, slightly musky, impossible to over apply. Perfect for Spring and Summer days outside. A slightly floral white t-shirt scent, unlikely to offend anyone. If you find a bottle out in the wild for under $20, give it a shot. Hopefully it was stored in its box so the apple blossom didn't go off.

I owned a bottle of this lovely scent back in the late 1980's. To me, it mostly smelled like a very realistic essence of apple blossoms, with just a touch of a fresh green note, and some clean musk primarily in the drydown. I also noticed a subtle note of actual apple, sweet but fresh. Longevity and sillage were on the low end of moderate, making Apple Blossom a safe perfume for work situations. I would highly suggest that Avon brings this perfume back, due to the current popularity of apple fragrances.

When first applied, this smells strongly of the real thing... My sister and I used to play in the orchard, and it was glorious the few days every spring when the blossoms would open and soon after the petals would fall like snow to the ground... the air around the trees was scented like this! Avon's 'Apple Blossom' thereafter falls to a soft, woody scent perfumed subtly with blossoms.

I was on the hunt for an apple blossom perfume when I found this. I must admit that I bought it because of the lovely bottle. Upon first splash, it smells like a nice, powdery, white floral vintage bar of soap. Maybe there’s a slight hint of fruitiness on drydown, but I’m not getting much.
