Attraction Awaken For Her

Now let me clarify that I am a man. I wear many scents, from One Man Show, Grey Flannel, all the way to LNDLH, Encre Noire, just everything. My wife wears mostly soft, clean scents. Nothing sweet. Neither do I wear anything sweet. But this. When I put this on, I feel absolutely fabulous. It just goes to show that fragrance really shouldn’t be gendered. Wear whatever you like. We really should get rid of the for men/for women branding. You like how it smells? Great, put it on and go forth! You’d don’t like it? Great, someone else surely will.

I am an Avon Rep in the UK so I could test this fragrance in advance. First impression: I feel ambar, spices and rum. Very autumn/winter like. Smells expensive, like niche. The notes here as misleading. Notes by Avon UK are: blackcurrant, black tuberose, leather, ambar, musk, rum and woods. Does not smeel like L’Interdit or Coffee Duo whatsoever.

Awaken opens with plenty of the most authentic cardamom accord that I've come across; sweet, softly spicy, with a hint of wood. A blend of currants & mandarin lightly freshens the cardamom. And again we meet tuberose, jasmine and orange blossom - the seemingly mandatory floral trio in Avon fragrances. The marshmallow & pepper become noticeable - a interesting combination, that mixes with the lingering cardamom really well. The blend of now powdered florals & peppery marshmallow/cardamom conjoin forces with Labdanum as Awaken settles down. Many people find Labdanum to have a boozy undertone, but I really have to concentrate to pick up on anything that could count as 'rum' in the blend, and I'm not confident that I'm just tricking myself into picking up on it, because I'm expecting it to be there. I don't get anything that brings leather to mind either - to me it's more amber woods, with a dash of musk. The longevity and projection is better than it is for my most recent Attraction flanker [Game]; we're in the seven hour minimum range for weartime, with a moderate projection that gradually softens, but never becomes a skin-scent. Awaken isn't usually a fragrance that I would have chosen to get during the summer based on Avon's description of it, however I do think that the fruit notes provide enough juicy freshness to stop the sweetness and gentle spice from becoming overwhelming and too 'warm'. I really enjoy this; I've worn it casually, when working and for going out.

The opening is og. Attraction with the known plum and added tubereuse but this fragrance is basically a dupe of Angel's share, rather more similar to Zara Sand Desert at Sunset but the Awaken's drydown is more complex and a bit more sweeter I would say (the Zara one on me has a very straightforward cinnamon drydown). Lasting power is not good enough but you can refresh it anytime for this price. The bottle looks very nice. I like this one very much.

Very nice! Veryvery nice!!! Warm, spicy, juicy. After spraying it is spicy and creamy currant and tuberose. A tiny wibe of woods comes to my mind. Not that prominent to put me off. I used to wear officefriendly scents to work but i think i might take a slight curb for a change to take this for a spin! Thumbs up for this one!

Delightfully sweet yet slightly dark, this composition features juicy, captivating blackcurrant wrapped in a creamy, soft base. The fragrance offers good longevity and projection. It is easy to wear — simple, yet charming in its very simplicity and effortlessly enjoyable.

Smells like apple pie and brown sugar 🍂

i am not a fan of that. personally i am not big on gourmand fragrances, but i wanted to try it with a view to finding something warm for winter. i dont think it is well-balanced. the main notes you can smell here are marshmallows and cardamom (very synthetic one too). where are the fruits?? hello? i wanted something with a hint of edible sweetness, not an overload. it is pretty similar to the og, especially with the marshmallow note, but much worse, tiresome. but to those who are in for gourmand scents - it could be mouth-watering, if i were to describe it id say: a slice of an apple pie but with little apple and no cinnamon. next to it, you have a scoop of icecream (lets suppose it is warm), vanilla type with some spices. somewhere not so close to you theres a woman wearing a delicate uninspired perfume.

Oud, woody, incense, warming. Very autumnal. Vaguely masculine. I like it - it's definitely better than Attraction Intense, but not nearly as gorgeous as the original Attraction, which I've been buying every October year after year.

This slightly reminds me of L’interdit rouge. I think it’s the spice, heavy tuberose combo. It’s got the same kind of feel to it, even if the notes are different. On my skin and the more I wear it, it’s sickly sweet, which I actually really like ❤️

So I just received the og attraction and the purse spray of this. I prefer this one.. it’s lush! ❤️ it’s perfect for this colder weather and the slight spice kick is just yummy.
