Black Suede

Ok, here goes... I have long avoided any fragrance produced by Avon. I am a younger fragrance enthusiast in my 30s, and always felt Avon fragrances were cheap and old-fashioned. However, I have been experimenting with a number of “old school fragrances”, and have loved them. The key with older fragrances is very light application, lighter than I would normally use with more modern scents. For example with most modern fragrances (although the strength of each varies) my standard application for my skin is a MAX of 3 sprays... 1 chest/upper neck 1 stomach, .5 sprays on each wrist. This gives me a subtle aroma bubble for most modern frags. I may nix “the stomach spray” (bringing it down to 2) for stronger modern frags. But I rarely find a fragrance that needs 4 sprays. At 4 sprays I hate to tell you, but you DO SMELL like “THAT COLOGNE GUY”, at least with my skin. If I have a weaker fragrance, my stomach spray will be on the back off my head instead, for projection. Now with an older fragrance, especially a so-called “powerhouse” fragrances I’ll generally use 1 full spray to the center of my chest, and the scent is perfect all day. This is how I wear Van Cleef and Arpels, Quorum, etc. When I do this it smells amazing. Complex, but not overpowering. Especially, because I normally wear a full suits. But I digress... I finally decided I would try a few Avon fragrances. I tried Wild Country and hated it. It had that weird Avon smell, that’s cheap and old-fashioned. The epitome of “OLD MAN smell.” It smelled like the chemical they use to scent old "Baby Wipes". My girl agreed. And then I tried the current iteration of Black Suede Leather. Just boring and linear, and still had this odd Avon vibe I didn’t like, which translates to me as cheap. Then just recently someone gave me 2 bottles of the original, and new version of Black Suede. I actually prefer the new version the best. Some people will say any time a fragrance is reformulated it’s watered-down. And for fans of the original it may feel that way. However I think in many instances the company is merely tweaking the formulation for a more modern aesthetic that will resonate with a new generation of consumers (as well as the need to eliminate ingredients that may cause allergic reactions...aka Oakmoss) I for one having smelled both back to back prefer the newer. It’s less aggressive and even more subtle and cozy. And for the record: I DO love Black Suede. Actually, for me this is mildly embarrassing. But it’s a very, very nice scent! It would have to be because for me to go out and buy two more bottles just to have as the safety when I openly admit I hate Avon fragrances is very telling. Now to be clear I’m not a fan of the top they still have that cheap Avon smell like old baby powder. But on my skin, right out of the shower... with the NEW formulation of Black Suede this “opening” only lasts the first five minutes. Once I get into the mid and basenotes it’s fantastic. And on my skin it lasts 6 to 7 hours. I have no idea what the note breakdown would be, it’s not really about breaking down individual notes with Black Suede it’s more the overall feel, or “aura”. And this is the “aura” when lightly applied (3 sprays, as mentioned above as this is not a powerhouse)- WARM, INVITING, SAFE, SUBTLE. COZY, SEXY – Think curling up in front of a fire on a cold night, with a snifter of cognac (or glass of whiskey), a warm blanket and a good book (or old movie), with your girl at your side. All the while the aroma of some delicious, warm baked goods (cookies perhaps) is wafting through from a nearby oven. This is definitely a fall/winter scent. It screams autumn in New York. The image of a sharp dressed, casual man, with a scarf and Peacoat, strolling through central park with his girl. I have no previous associations with this fragrance, as I’m too young to remember it in its heyday, if it ever had one. It’s not modern. But it’s also not dated. It’s unique. And my girl who is in her late 20’s loves it! She’s not a fragrance enthusiast, but this is one she always snuggles up to sniff ...when I wear it. Well played Avon, well played.

Varanis did not steer me wrong. This is a really nice very old school fragrance. This is really "cologne-y" in a nondescript way when you immediately spray it, but it quickly shifts in a much more coherent way. The opening is pretty aldehydic but the stars to me are the carnation with support from the nutmeg. I personally sense that carnation/nutmeg thing kinda far into the drydown, theyre listed as top notes but they arent fleeting. Citrus is minor if discernable at all. They make the aldehydes sharp and tart. A little ways into the mid the clove rises further and the beginning of a powdery aspect starts appearing. The aldehydes have given way to a leathery thing that lasts a bit of time along with an animalic civet-like note joined by more prominent florals. As the drydown starts the florals, aldehydes/leather and the civet significantly give way to a base of clove, musk and oakmoss where i also still "think i smell a hint of carnation". The oakmoss is of the rich and buttery variety (i have a 1996 bottle). When the fragrance has entered its final stage, youre left with alot of that nice oakmoss with clove and musk, but i can defintely see the listed oppopnax giving it a twist towards the ambery. It performs very well, it didnt feel super strong upon first wear but later i kept getting whiffs of it after i thought it might have been gone. Probably projected good for a couple of hours, hung around a really long time after drying down. Honestly i thought immediately that i had smelled this before when i first sprayed and as it dried down. But i realized it does smell like other things. Definetely stetson, definetely royal copenhagen, and it shares aspects with kanøn, which my father wore. In my head it smells like i remember ralph lauren chaps smelling way back in the day but i haven't smelled that in 20 years. Its like 15-20 bucks. Like old school colognes? Blind buy it now.

Black Suede- I first Bought this Fragrance over 7 Years ago, was almost one of my first fragrances I bought to use strictly for work. I have to defend this fragrance by saying that though I don't have this Cologne anymore I actually miss it... Yes I am admitting it, this Powdery, velvet like aroma of woods, amber, musk and spices is addictive. When I owned it (I had about 3 bottles of this juice) I used it everyday to work and sometimes on cold winter days while going to visit friends and never did I hear someone say I smelt, Old, Musty or terrible. In fact it garnered a lot of compliments and many of my female co-workers who smelt if off me ordered it for their partners, and the main thing I always heard is that it smells really kind, gentle and the type of fragrance to cuddle with. This may not be a top designer fragrance, nor a Niche line product, but Avon has some Amazing fragrances that they sell, and some not so good, but I feel a lot of people Moan about these Frags as it is cheaply priced. But I have smelt some niche perfumes, and even designer colognes and some Cheap colognes can give them a run for their money, it may not have a Top Brand Label and cost an hefty price tag but their scents are nothing short of quality and sense. Black Suede is one such scent, It may not exactly be the Messiah of the fragrance world, but its worthy of being in a Guys wardrobe, and when the Ladies seem to really gravitate towards you when using this then that's gotta mean something. Black Suede lasts 7 to 8 hours on me, and it really projects well so 5 sprays of this Powdered spice amber juice on a Cold Day or night and you will be set, get warm, fuzzy and cuddle with Your baby coz black suede is enough to make her not let go. 8 out of 10. I am actually contemplating buying another bottle, maybe 2 just to spray and relax in its spicy, powder cloud.

Epic Journey Into the Bottled Yonder, 109 ------------------------------------------------------- Purchased July 2019 The current formulation is an EDT spray. Basically a clone of Royal Copenhagen but after the first couple minutes it becomes its own thing. The fluid has a caramel gold appearance whereas Wild Country is a rose brown. If you're old-school then you probably bought both at the same time like I did. The bottle is truly groovy looking. It has notches on both sides and makes for a slightly 3D appearance. The cap has a notch which follows through with the notch on the glass so both sides are identical, no back per se. The photo on this website is apparently the aftershave. My EDT has squared off edges even on the cap so it's more '80s and modern rather than '70s. Very recent formulation, made in Mexico. Beauty of a scent. This is probably more original than Stetson and I'd have to say so far this is not exactly like Stetson either. It has the blue print of Royal Copenhagen instead and holy cow, what a frag. Classic, if you're an Avon fan you need this and Wild Country. Woody, sweet, slight amount of spice plus soft musk and amber almost in the Coty Musk/Jade East ballpark. This is like a spiritual flanker to those, but also Royal Copenhagen could be instead. No, it's not unisex. This is for real men, through and through. Whether you're a gent, or a badass cultured man this frag will make everyone know you're serious about who you are. Also how come I'm the only second guy claiming this is a clone of Royal Copenhagen, what's the deal with that? None of you out there have smelled Royal Copenhagen before? Get some nuts and get that one or Black Suede, whichever is cheaper it doesn't matter. This is manly powder, ok?

Another good basic cologne my dad wore as I was growing up. It was his signature while he worked in banking as a manager, but wanted a warm, approachable vibe. There must be one of those old Coty signature bases in this. The vetiver/amber/labdanum found in Fougerie au Crepuscule, L'Origan, etc. The dry down of Black Suede is actually extremely similar to Fougerie. The openings are different, but the rest is almost a dupe - probably as close as you can get to that famous, discontinued classic! I, for sure, have never found anything that comes as close. (Saving my last 1/4ml of Fougerie for special occasions as it's more natural smelling and safer for my allergies.) The suede definitely comes across, but has a balminess to it. Sweet isn't quite the right word. It's definitely more balmy because it has a borderline aquatic edge. Sillage and longevity are excellent, especially on fabric. Obviously it was watered down with the couple of reformulations. The original vintage bottles are the best, for sure. They retain the original full-bodied oakmoss in the base and that really helps round out the composition. Obviously I am biased because of my dad, but this smells like a trustworthy monolith of a man. Highly recommend.

Mmm....this is musky! My synesthesia is setting off shades of periwinkle and the lightest purples in my mind. Black Suede reminds me of the fuzzy, gauzy musks of that old chestnut Royal Copenhagen, without the assisted living facility back note. It has this almost cosmetic, creamy powderiness in the heart that does remind me somewhat of orris, and this, with violet ionones, makes it quite appealing to my nose during this stage. This is another one where that plush, sweet Avonade does the heavy lifting, and I approve of that. This is wonderful to wear as pleasant 'white noise", much like the auditory white noise is used to help someone relax and settle in. No fuss, no muss, just laidback muskiness to accompany me. It's also worth noting that the bottle I have is a pressurized atomizer, so its likely from no later than the early 80s. Thankfully, in spite of the iso-butane nonsense, it still smells great.

So far this is my favorite masculine offering from Avon. I received a small vial on card sample from my rep and have been wearing it all day. Personally I love this scent.It's warm and hypermasculin yet not overbearing. Like most Avon perfumes it's a skillfully blended concoction of aroma chemicals intended to play on the trends of it's time. To me it's a quintessential,friendly, you kinda wanna hug from man smell. Fuzzy,inviting. I will be buying a bottle ASAP. It's only $9.99 so I dont mind that I felt the need to reapply it three times today. I dont even think it was because it had worn off, I just wanted to smell it from the beginning all over again. Now I'm laying in bed and I know I smell heavily of it, but its heavenly. I don't care that no one complimented me on my perfume today. I have found a new love!

Just got a sample of this and was dying to try it...it doesn't disappoint! It is warm and woody, slightly green with a slightly musky, powdery finish. I would definately love to wear this myself...it's not one of those overwhelmingly in your face masculine scents...just one of those that one sniff is never enough, you want to smell it more and more! It smells clean, innoffensive, warm and comforting...something you can squirt on before going to bed and it won't assault your nostrils or give you a headache...just lull you gently to sleep! This is not a testosterone fuelled MAN fragrance...it's more the man that is comfortable with himself, knows his attractiveness and doesn't need to shout about it! And the Avon price is just a total bonus......

Another reviewer said it’s like a powderier Versace l’homme and I do see the similarities I have only tried a vintage mini of the Versace l’homme and tbh it’s the only Versace perfume I have fallen in love with so far. The black suede I have sampled is a cologne in a vintage boxer dog bottle and I have decanted it to a mini spray bottle. I get the soapy “Avon-ade” smell but I also detect the spicy cosiness from the nutmeg and a hint of carnation and I adore it. Maybe not a classic feminine perfume but I love to wear it anyway and spray it on my blankets sometimes just to feel extra cosy.

This is actually a terrific fragrance. I think it’s similar to Tabac and Royal Copenhagen. I actually got a compliment today from a 23 year old woman. I get some citrus for the first two hours but it’s not listed as a note. I can’t believe a fragrance from 1980 has only six notes. It doesn’t. Anyway this is really good and it projects well and is long lasting. It’s definitely worth the price. I got Black Suede EDT 100 ml, plus soap, plus after shave lotion for 12.99 on Avon’s website last week. Highway robbery!

I laugh off so much on the fact that this scent is still the best of Avon after so much years(Mesmerize too),yeah ok,old school and outdated you say,yeah ok,Brut simpler brother,but it lasts very much a day and i have got many compliments with this from so many persons i’ve met in the past,that also my most newer and successful fragrances feel shame about it.Say what you want,i still love it,and it comfort me so much on every wear.

Back in the late 80's this was what is now described as my "signature scent." I don't really care for powdery scents but this is the exception. While dated, this warm earthy gem is good all year round and pleasing to most everyone. IMO, it is its simple note make up that makes it so good. Less is more! Reasonably priced and seemingly unaltered after years in production, this is worth a buy.

Wore this in the 90s. Very powdery crisp woody and fresh. A little sweet as well. Had no idea it was a men's fragrance until my twenties because my mother always presented it without the box. I liked it well enough. I stopped wearing it at eighteen when my bottle fell and broke in the bathroom of my first ever job. If it smells the same I wouldn't mind a bottle now

It is a really successful fragrance that I think is not very similar in the market. Although it is described as an old man's fragrance, due to the intense musk in it, it is indispensable for me with its clean and powdery structure. I think it is a must have perfume in every perfume collection with its very affordable price.

Powderier Versace L'Homme. This smells like the 80s. Bold. Complex. Floral, but animalic. As someone mentioned, L'Homme is a bit more citrus, this is a bit more powdery (maybe the orris root). All on all, smells very nice. Soapy, yes. Outdated? Maybe more of a revival. And for the price? Hard to find any better

Great layering frag. Nostalgic. Easy to overspray but I do think the musk tames it. I wouldn’t assign an age to this, it’s just about how open you are to different scents. A random Viet or Filipino fboy listens to Keshi who only wears Sauvage isn‘t going to be as open to this as fragrance enthusiasts are.

Sweet powdery spice. If talc powder was made for men it would and should smell like this. This is a cologne to spray and cuddle with, it is just a perfect comfort scent and every man needs that kind of scent for those kind of situations. An Avon classic that has earned and deserved its spot. 7 out of 10

I have always hated anything Avon - especially cosmetics and perfume - and I was shocked to learn this is made by Avon. This is by far my favorite men's perfume. I think it is very similar to Lagerfeld, only this is better. It's sweet and sexy in a cuddly and comfortable kind of way.

I got a VINTAGE bottle for $5.00 . 1980 - when I graduated high school . The world was still "old school". This smells damn good! If you see the bottles that have the simple silver "S" on a black background sticker , NO "Black Suede" title.

Try to score a Vintage bottle - Black / silver art deco "S" as the label . They are VERY easy to find. IF your regular "leather scent" is too too , this layers Beautifully adding a "touch of sweetness" but very comfortably .

A spicy, powerhouse take on Pinaud Clubman opening with an amped up Old Spice vibe. Old school, unironic masculinity in a bottle and, needless to say, very good value for money.

A staple in my collection , cheap but goodie Avon did well with this one but I do not smell the oak moss any more like a older bottle I had or well new regulations

Ive tried a few avon fragrances, quickly concluded theyre all trash haha ... except, this! Oh wow this ... not something i expected to fall in love with.

Warm and comforting. Relaxing and sexy, in short I could be buried in this fragrance. For me...an underrated desert island frag.

This reminds me of an old castle (in a good way), it's perfect to wear at a night walk in a park. Good job AVON.

Beautiful and old school... Love it

This is a timeless classic! I have no doubt it's been reformulated but for Black Suede to still smell very similar to the original formulation says a lot. This is a pleasant, likable fragrance. Woody, musky and manly. Unisex? Not really. More male leaning scent. A woman could pull it off but definitely someone with a flair for manly fragrances. This would be a good office scent, day out and about, night on the town. A well-rounded fragrance. Not bad for the gym setting. I can't see anyone getting offended if you wear this unless you overdo it on the sprays. This only requires one or two sprays. I recently wore it and 8-10 hours later I could still smell it almost like I had just sprayed it. Very good longevity and sillage too. You could wear this year round. But Fall, Winter, and Spring are your best bets. Might be a bit much in Summer. Try for cooler Summer nights. This one hasn't changed a lot over the years. The bottle I have smells much the same as the earlier ones. Blind buy worthy? It sure could be. I think people will enjoy it, but everyone has different tastes in fragrances. Under 25 group probably want something sweeter or beast mode. Not beast mode, but no slouch. It holds its own and doesn't quickly fade. Can't beat the performance or the value of this one! ***Update**** 5/15/21 I recently wore this. I forgot putting it on that morning. Later in the evening a family member asked "What are you wearing? I LIKE it!! It's one of your best scents yet" I got several close 'sniffs' and big smiles by the opposite sex the same day. I'll be wearing this more often.

This one has a special place in my heart because it is one of my fathers two signature scents. I can't help but think of him when I wear it. I also can't wear it often because I feel I'm "impersonating" him or stealing it from him. As others have stated, it is an old school traditionally masculine musky powdery barbershop scent. In fact that's what I picture when I smell this.. a barbershop. It definitely doesn't smell like leather/suede or anything like that but somehow the name "black suede" just makes sense. I think the clove note is a bit too strong for the first 30min but once it dries down like most other things it smooths out. I would recommend getting the vintage version because it should contain much more oakmoss. I bought a vintage bottle from the 80s and I get pretty good longevity. It may smell "vintage" but I think this can easily work on a man in 2021 as long as you're at least in your 30s. I don't get why people hate on Avon so hard.. yeah most are "dated" scents but think of it like this. Who are they marketing to? Women. They are, after all, a makeup MLM company. So this was primarily sold by women to other women who would buy it for their husband. So most of these scents should appeal to the female nose. I think this is a great deal especially considering the cheap price tag.

I'm probably not objective about this as it brings back lots of childhood memories. This is masculine, but not in a hit you in the face and growl sort of way. It's also quite old school but not in an overpowering musky way. It is quite linear, simple and powdery. Not particularly sophisticated. BUT it smells really clean, warm and gently spiced. If Johnsons' made "Baby Powder for Men" I think it would smell like this. Homely, comforting and cuddly/snuggly (as many below have said). My girlfriend says it smells like one of her bath oils (in a good way). It projects well (9+ hours) and has good longevity (easily 15+hours and can still just about smell it the next day). For the price I think this is great, but my opinion is certainly coloured by some fond memories.

I can't say I agree with the listed notes. I'm smelling an ultra-dry, powdery fougere with a base of oakmoss, orris, tonka, musk, and a wee little-bitty bit of patchouli and labdanum that warms up the fern-accord and pulls it toward an oriental (chypre, to be precise). Lavender, rose, carnation, and soapy-aldehyde heart; bergamot top. I'm smelling the nutmeg now- how intriguing it is here, adding an unexpected bitter counterpoint. I would call this composition an oriental-fougere- but unlike most in this category, this is quite light! And rather than smelling of leather, it seems instead to be trying to emulate the *texture* of suede... and I think it's done beautifully. Quite unique. Well worth seeking out the vintage which uses raw oakmoss absolute.

I second missk by saying that Black Suede could easily be a unisex fragrance. It was a gift to my father back in the early 90s. He didn't like wearing it first and complained a couple of times whenever he wore it but later he started to like it. I also liked wearing it and this has been my habit since childhood that I liked wearing colognes and perfumes from my father's fragrance wardrobe. I remember BS as a spicy fragrance with the prominent notes of nutmeg accompnaied by the hint of cloves, musk and woodsy notes. The bottle wasn't so impressive though and looked like a cheap fragrance bottle but we must never judge a book by its cover. I would still like to have it in my perfume wardrobe as I really like its spiciness.

Hmm,the opening of this one is definitely out of the 80s. It opens like a powerhouse, think Ennio Morricone's " Ecstacy of Gold" before Metallica walks on stage. It opens with an oily, leathery note. Warm cinnamon follows, then musk. Or maybe I think of the musk as the leathery note ? Hmm Eventually, after 2 plus hours, you're left with something much less offensive: a vanille/cinnamon combo that sits gently on your skin. Pleasant at this time. You'll keep sniffing your wrist because you just can't believe how this stuff underwent some form of maturity. Be patient with this one. It will eventually reward you, but you'll seem 20 years older than you are while waiting for it to simmer down.

I'm grateful to KJS88 for bringing this fragrance to my notice in the forum. It's clean smelling, light with a powdery dry down without any unpleasant cheap artefacts. It's very presentable for work situations and for settings where you want to smell good without wafting powerhouse 'cologne man' fumes across a room. I'm very happy with it and it's going to be in regular use in professional situations when I don't want to transmit olfactory signals. Highly recommended for others who relate to the situations I've described. Update: I went away and took only this scent with me. I noticed that longevity on my shirt was very good and it reminded me of Old Spice.

As a woman, I quite enjoy wearing Black Suede, especially in the winter. There is something very fresh about this, which mirrors the cool air outside, but there’s still a slight warmth at the base. I can smell the vetiver and nutmeg clearly from the outset, and then musk and cloves follow. The cloves are not super evident on me however, and I don’t find this scent very spicy. This dries down sweeter and more powdery than when you first apply it, and it lasts all day on me. I don’t find this scent feminine at all, but it works for me. My review is for the current version in the rectangular bottle, not the one with the curved corners.

Mmm..., very powdery. That was my first thought. Musky and spicy, but still very powdery. You really can detect the spiciness of nutmeg behind all that musk, but it is still veeery powdery. I applied it to bed and it was comfortable. It lasted long, very long. I woke up 10 hours later and it was there: intact. And veeery powdery. LOL. Black suede is a lovely old-school fragrance; manly and gallantly 70's/80's fashioned, made for gentlemen - those who know the meaning of chivalry and what is stands for.

I finally got an EDT of this fragrance from overseas. It is a really smooth blend, which exudes old school charm. Yes, it has a powdery feel to it, but so what? I would choose it anyday over a modern generic citussy fragrance. What comes across clearly in the EDT is a floral aspect, which is not shown in the notes. I smell the same aspect in Halston 1-12 and it is reminiscent of jasmine. The leatheriness is accompanied by a soapy accord which is similar to Cussons Imperial Leather (soap).

Oh wow...one of the first colognes I had back in highschool. My mom bought it for me in Sophmore year when an Avon rep came by her job one day selling things. There was another cologne she bought me as well that had a really pungent floral smell that burned my nostrils when I sprayed it. Smelled a lot like "Versace - pour homme"... I wore that one for a while before I switched over to Black Suede completely until the bottle was empty. Good memories from this one...

This is very nice. I just (re)purchased this scent because I used it in high school, it came on my radar, and I was curious why and if I would still like it. Definitely a "barbershop" scent. It's not as powdery as Avon' Wild Country nor Dana's Canoe. Black Suede has a fresh, newly shaved, spicy edge scent. While I wish it came in an EDT as the longevity and sillage are just okay, the price is such that you can overspray and reapply as needed. I recommend.

I am not a fan of musky or powdery fragrances and that is exactly what Black Suede is. It is not a bad scent at all though and decent sillage and longevity makes this a perfectly acceptable fragrance. I wear this at the office during the colder months if I want a change. This one is for the cold seasons. Scent : 10/20 Longevity : 6/10 Projection : 6/10 Total : 6/10 ... If sweet, musky or powdery is your thing give this a try.

Got it as a gift, it surprisingly performs really well for an Avon fragrance. Like it actually does, didn't expect it. It has a heavy and deep shower gelly sweetness to it, like a bunch of candied florals, it almost feels like it hits you in the back of the throat a little bit from that sweetness. You can feel the woods and especially the musk in the back of all that, with a hint of fading greenness.

An oldie but a goodie. There's a reason it's still around. My husband's bottle is a few years old and it has a sweetness to it. A sweet, woody amber. It's timeless really. I think a lot of dads wore it back in the day but it still carries well today as a scent that most people will enjoy. It is masculine but I'll wear it sometimes at home when I just want a cozy scent.

I'm a novice fraghead, and when I hear or read of "barbershop'' scent, this comes to mind. The powder scent relaxes me tons! But again, Im novice, and maybe I'm not understanding what people mean by "barbershop-y". I do have a question. I will never smell the Creed scent people have voted as "similar", does it ACTUALLY smell like it? Is it a joke?

My mother was an Avon regional manager back in the Seventies and Eighties. I got to sample all the fragrances they had to offer. This is the scent of my youth. It was a nice, powdery musk that had decent longevity and projection. Price / value equation always came up good. Just looking at the bottle puts me in a reflective mood. Simpler times.

Don't let the the age and price of this deter you, this is a well made, no nonsense cologne. There is a spiciness to this but it is refined, not in your face, I can see a girl snuggling up to her boyfriend who is wearing this. Perfect for winter/Autumn, I really think this is an inoffensive cologne that most guys will wear at some point. Good!

This is a VERY manly scent. Fresh, clean, bold yet soft. The leather, woods, and citrus ride the duration of the fragrance giving it almost a barbershop feel but not quite fully. This one is age constrained though, I give it the 30+ crowd more comfortably for men in their 40s to 50s. Great job Avon on another classic scent.
