Christian Lacroix Ambre for Men

I am so glad i found this again after years of it sitting in the back of my bathroom cupboard when i started to collect fragrances again as this is so good! The best way i can describe it is this is the amber you smell in all you amber based scents before they add the other notes to it to make it their own in the likes of 1Million. It is what you smell sitting under the sweet and spice of 1Million and others like it. It is also one of the few fragrances i can say that i can detect all the notes here and it smells lovely. Something nice to wear at night when you are relaxing watching TV on your own and want something nice smelling and inexpensive to wear while doing so. Not to say it wouldn't be great to wear while out and about also. At first you get the citrus and then the woody smell along with the pepper but after a minute it settles down in to the perfectly named scent that it is being, Ambre! (amber). If you can get this you should as it really is lovely for such a low price! I almost threw this out with some other cheapies at one point, boy am i glad i didn't make that foolish mistake! I am not sure if AVON are still selling it but if not they should definitely bring it back!

I dont know continue or discontinue but if i find somewhere i would buy without any doubt. As i remember, it was openin little bit of citrusy vibe and right after this opening it turns into a warm and kinda woody amber scent and this amber is not heavy or strong . It just well blended and alluring amber. I have gotten a lot of compliment with this beauty. Worth to try.

very elegant, warm, classic and sophisticated fragrance for winter, fresh bergamot lasts for few seconds and than comes creamy and silky sandalwood with a hint of amber, pitty that longesivity and sillage are pretty weak

Very nice fragrance! Not a love but a definite like and an awesome choice for cold weather! This one is VERY appropriately named. It mostly smells of amber and sandalwood with the other notes doing some slight backup work. It's nothing complicated and as others have mentioned...it's a warm, comforting fragrance with a slight, not overwhelming spice to it. I like it. Not something I reach for often necessarily but I do like it and will enjoy my bottle. I got mine about a year ago and I see that it is now discontinued...and the price is going up. Scent Itself - 7/10 Longevity - Impressive for an avon scent. About 6-7 hours. Projection - 2-3 feet. Overall Score - 7.5/10 A solid like in my collection. Most definitely for use only in the colder months. Thumbs up!

My review is only a couple below but I still have my bottle almost full and you cannot find this fragrance ANYWHERE. Luckily for someone who wants one....I just listed mine on eBay. It’s got the lid and box and everything and is almost full. My listing is the one that ships from Pennsylvania for anyone interested 😜☺️😉

I was expecting so much more! It's not bad but simply boring! Nuit was much better. I'm gonna give it to my brother cause I have lots of better amber colognes. The bottle looks great, though!

There's a distinct designer freshness here, it has a very mid-2000s fresh spicy feel to it. Sparkling amber. Pretty linear fragrance, performance is good. Not crazy, not great - just good.

Retried this again and just like before I've fallen back in love with this, it's warm and comforting. I adore the bottle for this so much!

I am thrilled by this warm amber scent :) smells very alluring and inviting. Masculine without being a fougere, lavender or cologne type.

It is a shame that this one doesn't project a bit stronger.
