Dolce Aura

I still have a bottle of this fragrance. Its been hidden away at the back of a cupboard, in its box.Its still a lovely fragrance as it hadn't gone off. I get a faint smell of violets. which isn't listed. It's a.lovely, well blended perfume, but I can't smell the rose or freesia. I can smell a floral note but I can't think what it is. The violet smell lasts for ages. I must have had 3 or 4 bottles of the fragrance. I can see now why - its lovely as is the dry down a powdery classy scent.

Believe it or not, I had no idea this perfume even existed when I snuck a last dash bid during a rather uneventful auction. Afterwards, I felt an uneasiness about the purchase despite its value menu price. Then spirits lifted after reading the reviews, but so little other details were available that I was left with a shrug at the end of the day. Caution must be deployed with application. First, this baby needs the heat of skin to open its disappointing exterior. Secondly, and I find this point to be the most important, this is a scent becomes more enjoyable the closer it gets to its heart and dry down. It is here where the imaginary floral notes speak more articulately. Finally, expect that you have smelled these chords before. This combination of scents seems so characteristic of the fresh millennium, that a grocery list of similar fragrances come to mind. Beyond Paradise, White Camellia and Freedom for Her by dear old Hilfiger, are just a start. As certain as I am that there must be more than the three listed ingredients, I can confidently say that a) this has so little similarity to Romance, and b) it doesn't smell like freesia, rose or patchouli. Strangely, it doesn't smell like much of anything, and yet so many diverse perfumes smell just like this. There you have it - a glitch in the Matrix; the millennial conundrum; a pebble in the palm of consumerism. It's pleasant, but in an "Ehh" sort of way.
