Dreamlife

It's coming ,it's coming in USA with C8.I was already able to order and receive my first bottles. Soo excited, so happy to have my favorite frag in my hands again, plus reminds me about my happy old times. About the scent-I actually can't get any of the notes above. I mostly get those small early spring wild violets you can find in country meadows and fields. It's definitely a very heavy scent, and a little goes long way. For those who like it, keep in mind, it's a limited edition and it's coming in a different bottle. For those, who didn't like it, please respect, it's enough that you already pressed dislike. THANKS to AVON for bringing DREAMLIFE back. I honestly didn't believe they would ever do that! THANK YOU,AVON!

This is my fourth review and I so much wished someone else to announce the fact that Avon is bringing it back ,I see the new bottles are already on line for selling.But it is what it is.Yes,it is coming back in a different outfit,oops,I mean bottle.I have already placed my order,so wait and see. Update:The juice in the Eiffel Tower is more saturated and the dry down definitely gives that YSL,Libre vibe.This year's version is lighter,more kind of every day proper ,although the scent is the same.I love them both.I keep my ET in my living room as a suvenier and sometimes enjoy,the scent.This year I bought 3 bottles and I am planning to use them all and may be buy more.

Avon USA has just come out with a new Dreamlife cologne,with notes of mimosa flower,soft rose and glowing amber.Also the bottle is in a shape of the Eiffel Tower.I just wonder if this one is the same like the original. Update.I have just received my order and yes ,this is the same old classy Dreamlife which I adored and missed.The bottle is gorgeous,but I love the previous bottle too..Great job!

Its really too bad this perfume has been discontinued. I first bought it in 2004 out of the Avon Booklet because I loved the bottle LOL I was really pleased with the scent once it arrived. Just bought some more on Ebay and it arrived today :):) I really missed that smell.Glad I can still find it on line :)

I have it and I really love it. Beautiful powdery iris with so much sandalwood and mimosa. It's strong enough for winter and summery enough for summer. I love the way it leaves you in a pretty cloud. Very cozy yet fresh. The Iris and sandalwood are cozy but the mimosa and freesia are fresh and floral.

This parfume was my signature fragrance years ago.I bought and used at least 10 bottles while it was on market.Still miss it!I don't want to buy it from ebay,as I don't know what I am gonna buy.It was discontinued long time ago,so for me, it's gonna be either old or fake.Wish Avon brings it back!

Sweet memories. I remember I just turned 15 when my mother offered me this fragrance. It was beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I wore it untill they discontinued. Now I want it back. I hope I find it like Goldpoint did.

One of Avon's better fragrances. Its one of a kind....especially when layered, body lotion etc. Its unbelievable that Avon got this scent....its smell like one of those premium fragrances...

A hackneyed concept, but done exceptionally well and for very cheap. What's not to love! Plus the bottle is adorable.

As I look at the picture of this perfume here on Fragrantica, I can almost smell it again, and it feels like going back in time. In 2002, my boyfriend at the time gave me Dreamlife for my birthday. It was my first real perfume, but I remember thinking it was a little too sharp and cold for my taste. Even so, it smelled classy and expensive, and it earned me many compliments. Although it wasn't exactly my type of scent, no other Avon perfume has ever impressed me as much as this one. As far as I can remember, it was floral, soapy, and musky. Then something bad happened later that year, and I stopped wearing Dreamlife because I couldn't help associating it with that sad event in my life. I kept the perfume for a few years as a memento, but when the liquid started to change color, I threw it away. Now I wish I had kept it, if only to smell it again and reminisce about old times... about youth and naïve dreams. I'd buy a bottle just for that reason, but sadly it has been discontinued.

Have a half full bottle of it sincce 2007 or so, I was savoring it since it was discontinued and I really liked it allot. Well I just got some new bottles AND ITS STILL GORGEOUS. Will be hoarding soon. I smell freesia, mimosa and iris with amber and sandalwood. Quite lovely. Ahhhhhh, as I smell my wrist memories return. Such a a powdery, woody yet warm floral. It's winter where I am even snowed yesterday yet I will be wearing this tomorrow, Sprayed some on my wrists hours ago, washed my hands and Dreamlife is still going strong.

After 9 years I'm finally running out of Dreamlife and I think I'm going to miss it. I used to hate this fragance back when I received it as a gift; it was too strong for a 16 year old. Years went by and I fell in love with the intoxicating iris, and the strong sandalwood underneath it, now it only brings back dear memories of cold afternoons by my boyfriend's side. He loves this one by the way. Definitely a dear and iconic perfume in my life.

This smells fresh, powdery and earthy. It is a surprisingly classy fragrance for something quite inexpensive. However, it does fade considerably. Nonetheless, it is a nice scent without any distasteful artificial after notes and very pleasant while it lasts.

I loved this as child. All mum’s clothes smeeled like this. Remember, how i felt then...like iz was yesterday. beautiful, soft rose, perfectly blended with freesia, very pleasant. My best from avon.

It was one of my best selling products while I worked for Avon together with Little Black Dress. Bearing in mind the price Dreamlife lasts longer than you would normally expect.

Don't know why, but this perfume makes me think of home made soups:)) i think i find a note of dill in it. Yet, it's a very nice scent.

I like this, it's vivacious, fresh and sweet. Smells of sherbert lollies and reminds me of cold autumn sunshine.

I chose this because I love freesia and saw the generally favorable reviews. I’ve worn this a few times to try to get a real sense of it, because my initial impression was that it was discordant and strange. Resting the bottle and keeping an open mind was helpful...but this is probably never going to be a strong “like” for me. The fragrance is pulling 2 types of notes together - dry powdery iris, with a candy sweetness. Like highschool prom - the designer dress with Claire’s jewelry. The iris is pleasant, dry and powdery but not astringent and no aldehydes. I can’t pull out any specific floral notes, but get that general sweet note; like a handful of Sweettarts, or the smell left in an empty bag of jelly beans. It’s pleasant, slightly juvenile, even innocent - the young girl sitting on the cusp of womanhood, optimistic and hopeful and blissfully naive; wearing her new VS push-up bra and popping bubblegum bubbles while waiting for good things to unfold for her. The notes are in harmony with that image and the name. But this doesn’t suit who I am or what i want to convey, so I’ll likely wear this rarely. It’s late May, has been moderately warm and sunny with some light showers in northern Virginia. Not sure how more extreme weather would affect it. Earlier attempts in colder weather left it really flat and simplistic so I think warmer is better.

This is very soft and floral with a feminine musky dry down. I’m really surprised by how much I like it being that I don’t usually like florals. I don’t know what it is about this perfume. It feels warm yet fresh at the same time, and oh so feminine. The first blast is rose anchored by powdery iris. Then the apricot and freesia come through. I’m not familiar with mimosa so it’s possible that it’s in this fruity mix as well and I just don’t know it. I feel that the iris is always present, coming in and out of the composition, like playing hide and seek. The dry down is warm and musky but in a clean way. I love patchouli and musk, however sometimes they can be a little dirty (isn’t that why we love it?). In this case, the musk reminds me more of warm skin than sweaty skin. It’s really wonderful. I find this fragrance to be very very feminine. Avon has hit some home runs, and this one is one of them. It is important to note that the dilution I have is cologne, so it doesn’t have great longevity, though when sprayed on clothes it will last a few hours. I got it on sale and it was worth every penny, however. I would splurge on the EDP or EDT if they ever bring it back.

I would think I'd love this more based on the perfume notes, but it just kinda smells soapy and powdery to me. I have to admit I kind of bought it more for the Eifle Tower bottle to place on my dresser. Maybe I will try it out in warmer weather as I have noticed certain florals come out stronger with warm weather.

WOW! This perfume brings me nausea. A fellow worker used it as her signature fragrance; at first smelled kind of nice and then it was awful. Can't get the stinky odor out of my head. Sorry for all the fans of this fragrance. I guess that woman spoiled it for me. Discontinued....thank heaven.

Don't like it. It's very floral and way too strong! Hits you right in the nostrils.. or at least that's what happened to me.

Too soapy for me, I used it only for towels and dressing gowns - and it worked perfectly.

I ordered this on a blind buy after reading reviews here. I love some of Avon's retired fragrances and had to try it. I am surprised I never had because I sold Avon off and on and tried so many of the classic collections. It arrived yesterday and I was excited to try it, but of course it smelled different than I had hoped. I put a very small spray on after shower at bedtime and found it interesting but rather too sweet and not thinking I would like it, but intrigued enough to know I could change my mind. When I woke this a.m. was pleasantly surprised at how much I like the dry down. It really mellows well on warm skin and I might fall in love a little bit with it!! It is strange to me because often I like scents in early and particularly mid phases but then not the dry down alot. This was the opposite. This holds true for Avon scents as well as others. If I could pick a retired fragrance to come back it would be Pavielle. I adored it and wore it all the time. Hopefully if it ever comes back it won't be reformulated too much at all.

Fresh mimosa, sweet freesia, creamy iris, warm sandalwood. This is a carefree fragrance, with a bit more depth than you'd think from some of the descriptions that have been given. The iris is a creamy/powdery one that runs throughout the whole composition, giving this a lovely 'ladies vanity' feel to it. This fragrance is sadly discontinued, but easy enough to find as they have done one re-release of it in recent years. I do get a hint of warm amber in the base, melding with the sandalwood to anchor this fragrance and give it real staying power and sillage. I find this scent blooms and changes for hours---opening light and sweet, deepening and becoming more as it warms on your skin. It smells expensive to me, which is no easy feat at times for a $10 perfume. Definitely a winner and a classic.

During my clearout of my perfume cupboard I came across Dreamlife. It still has the distinctive big perfume smell. I had about a dozen bottles of it. It was one of the ones I stockpile whilst it was being sold. It's still gorgeous perfume. one of Avons best.To me it had a vibe of the dry down of Paris by YSL. It's not identical. but has the same big beautiful rose blended with the other floral notes but it's biggest not is the Mimosa. I've since bought Haile Berrys Mimosa Escence which is gorgeous - it's the same smell that gives Dreamlife that lovely note that is there from start to finish. I wish Avon would bring this back to the UK!

I recently purchased Dreamlife last month. I honestly was very disappointed. It has notes and other aspects that I like but there is one note I can't get past that smells of rotting fruit. If that note was not there I am positive that I would love this fragrance. Powdery florals are my very favorite but that apricot note does not mix well for my senses. I gave my bottle away. I will definitely be sticking with Avon's other classics such as Timeless and Candid. Hoping Avon will bring back real treasures such as Occur,Arianne,Tasha. It's nice to see that Dreamlife does work out for others. It just does not work for me.

THis and NIght magic r 2 of my husbands favs.And,he is very hard to please.FRom the most expensive to the lo down cheapest.IT is a warm woody floral(THAT IS HARD TO FIND),It smells of exotic florals and woods.IT last me all day.The scented sparkle body lotion is wonderful for the summer when u have tanned legs.Smell good and a lil sheen to them.Avon has some really great fumes now and I cant believe there r still sum perfume snobs who say,(yuck)just because it comes from Avon.If u put a lot of their scents into designer fume bottles they would b ooing and ahhhing.Come on,give them a FAIR chance.

I do miss this scent. As a past Avon Rep I used to sell lots and lots of bottles of it. A lady in the office where i worked used to spray this copiously in an open plan office. I stopped wearing it because of this, because my colleagues always blamed me! I think it was the mimosa that I loved about Dreamlife. It only needed a light hand when applying it, and I always got compliments whenever I wore it. I do have a bottle in my collection, my daughter loved it as well. Avon - Bring this back please!

I have worn a similar fragrance for many, many years called "Heaven Sent." It too is getting more difficult to find, and if it disappears completely, I will just be heartbroken! My sweet husband bought me two bottles of it for Christmas! Not too flowery and sweet (which literally chokes me! I can't even be around someone wearing "White Shoulders" because it makes me deathly ill!) and has a soft, powdery scent. I just love it.

I got it in body powder several (more than 5) years ago. I liked it so much that I got 10. It still smells like heaven to me. I like to sprinkle on my sheets before going to bed - it's like aromatherapy to me. It's not strong and a little bit different than perfume. I like the powder much more than the fragrance.

Oh god, do I miss Dreamlife. I have a single bottle of body lotion left, and I don't want to use it all, but I don't want it to go off. It's the freesia. I absolutely love the freesia, it is all I can smell in it, and it is beautiful.

This should work for me but I genuinely hate this perfume. The sandalwood ruins it for me. Big time. I can't enjoy the patchouli, iris or anything else because all that is overpowered by the sandalwood. One for the trash bin.

It's a very nice scent and I when I wore it I got many compliments. Unfortunately, I can no longer where it as it gives me headaches, so I stick with the Perfumed skin softener =)

I envy those who had pleasant experiences with this, because all I say is that this is a very cold, sharp, metallic scent and the florals seem frozen.

This smelled very acrid and metallic to me. I thought it was a very chemical scent. I guess I got a bad sample,or it didn't work with my chemistry.

Very interesting fragrance, because I can smell vanilla in it, but there isn't vanilla among the ingredients. One of the best Avon fragrances.

this has quite a floraly sophisticated smell, although it can smell quite soapy at times and have a overpowering smell.

the first time, smell like Nomadic her(Oriflame), but more lighter.Cute bottle, the second note is sweet, good perfume
