Eve Embrace

I sampled this today and surprise-surprise - this is very much the affordable lovechild of Yves Saint Laurent's Parisienne and Rochas Desir!!! I owned and liked both of them, and this could be a good alternative. It's a tiny bit more sweet than it should be, but still enjoyable. The scent of my 30-year old self, still a bit naive, full of dreams and plans, carefree and positive.

I smell strawberries and cherries, summer wine. Reminds me of Miss Dior Cherie.

Eve Embrace opens with plenty of strawberry, which soon becomes enmeshed with the raspberry for a cheerful jammy sweetness. I'm also convinced that there is lily in the fragrance which develops alongside the fruit, which prevents the sweetness of the berries from becoming too overpowering by adding a fresh sharpness. As the fragrance begins to settle on me, it's the listed rose note that stands out the most to me - patchouli is one of those scents that I can dislike, but I find it very complementary with rose, so I don't mind it too much in Eve Embrace. The iris and violet are almost overwhelmed by the rose/patchouli combo, so while I don't dislike the patchouli here, I would have liked it to have be lighter. or absent. I also pick up on traces of what seems like a tea note. As the berry & most of the floral notes [the rose and patchouli notes always linger] gradually fade, a soft vanilla and sandalwood-lead base emerges On me the caramel note is very light, which I think is a shame as I do love caramel in fragrances as I find it comforting. I find the longevity to be pretty average for a more spring/summer perfume from Avon; on average the fragrance becomes quiet after four hours and I get to around the six hour mark of longevity, before it goes too close to the skin to detect. If some of the fragrance gets onto my bra/tee, then it lasts for eight hours. Not outstanding, but very nice for the lower price-point. This is a very good fragrance overall, and it reminded me of one of my first fragrance purchases immediately; [the original version of] Escada Sexy Graffiti. So if that, or the Escada summer limited edition fragrances in general, are your catnip then I definitely recommend giving Eve Embrace a go. I also recommend it to people who enjoy fragrances containing strawberry, raspberry, rose and/or patchouli. My overall opinion is that I like Eve Embrace, but I'm still a little bit underwhelmed by it; I will happily use up my bottle and will consider rebuying it as there are quite a few things I enjoy about it, but I can't say that I enjoy it enough to the point of saying that I definitely will buy it again. I do think that the patchouli is nice combined with the rose, but I would rather it'd not been in Eve Embrace so that the other floral notes would have had more chance to grow - I believe that I'd have enjoyed this fragrance much more, if that had been the case.

When I first sprayed Eve Embrace I thought I smelled watermelon 🍉. There was an element of green with the fruitiness. Despite my initial surprise when I saw the notes, I can now see where it came from. You see a natural violet plant with the leaves is very subtle and has green almost cucumbery undertones to it🥒. That mixed with the strawberry 🍓 note, which is not jammy on my skin, gave that impression. Soon the greeness fades and the strawberries become more recognizable, but I still don’t get much raspberry on my skin. There is a blended floral bouquet 💐 without discernible individual notes (like with most recent releases from Avon). Again the base lacks character with a well behaved patchouli and their ever present wood- musk signature. Couldn’t detect any caramel. The Eve line is a tad better than many of their recent releases but I still can’t find one that will be as iconic as some of their earlier releases. A weak like from me.

in the beginning, it smells like a fruit bomb,mixed with rose . it smells fruity-flowery clean, a bit generic, strawberry is prominent,with patchouli and osmanthus. the caramel notes are weak ,but they bring a surprising twist to this fruity-flowery smell. I find it to be a perfect bedtime scent, right after the shower. The lasting power is pretty weak on me,it performs like an eau de toilette in my opinion,it leaves a weak trail behind me for the few minutes after applying then it becomes a skin scent after 20 -30 min . It's perfect for Spring and summer . it I absolutely love the bottle,its colour and the cap ...looks like a gem. Will I repurchase it? no,because it s too generic for me .

I like this! It is sweet, fruity and refreshing, yet somehow warm, too. Blended to be womanly rather than girly. Perfect for spring evenings or having a picnic on a summer's day. There is some resemblance to Avon Luminata, but I'd say they're more like cousins rather than duplicates. Eve Embrace has more body to it.

Nice but basically Luminata reformulated, if you have Luminata not really worth getting Embrace

A bit too sweet for my liking. Bought a bunch of samples and used them a few times to truly get a grasp if I like it or not. Decided that it's just not my scent, a generic sweet feminine perfume which I feel like will fit a lot of women but for me personally smells a bit too much like strawberry and raspberry jam. I like a little bit of sweetness in my perfumes, but they have to be diluted with other notes.

this smells like elnett hairspray....that's it.

Okay let me rant a bit please. I dont get it. I dont understand what Avon is doing. Launched its £300 skincare, perfume at a price over £1000 if I remember correctly.. but when it comes to new launches it reuses the bottle which has been presented before. This bottle is the bottle of Prima (Dreams). I'm all for recycling and I do understand that a brand like Avon would be on a budget. But why then try to be a luxury brand? Is it for money collection? Are they that low on a budget? Thats what I mean you see... I just dont get it which direction they are taking. If you're Chanel or Roja you're that. If you are La Rive the dont issue products that are of Chanel/Roja range..

I usually like Eve perfumes, however this one is...yucky.On me, it smells like very synthetic patchouli and amberwood.I was disappointed.I didn't expect much, but considering this perfume is so expensive now, I wanted it to at least be decent.But you can find cheaper Avon perfumes better than this one

I adore fruit. I like cooking with it, looking at it, eating it and wearing it. So, I have no problems with this one - powdery strawberry and raspberry, touch of generic florals, jazzy looking bottle. Great everyday fragrance, providing you like smelling like a jelly or boiled sweet, which I do.

A decent fruity floral for an affordable price. It fits in with the current raspberry and roses trend and has good longevity. All in all, pretty good and excellent value.
