Exclusive Quest

A nocturnal, cold-weather coffee, labdanum and nutmeg main with a freshening touch of ginger. Like the other two "Absolute" (as called in EU) from this line, this is extremely long lasting with moderate projection. This is a bold release, there's nothing sweet thrown in here to join the dominant gourmand trend, just the raw materials as they are. It is still very wearable in the right context. It does remind me of Dior Elixir vaguely, probably because of the heavy use of nutmeg, but coffee still dominates. Excellent for the price (12-15€ on discounters) like the rest of this line.

Quite interesting this one from avon, I really love it ( as I do love the spicy scent of coffee, and lover of drinking coffee ) . It is an oriental spicy scent that gives an oriental vibe and could be the definition of an oriental spicy scent. It is mainly a cardamom and nutmeg mixed with the ground coffee, it has a little sweetness and quite sophisticated. I see that it is stronger in scent than elite gentleman original and dryer, but I don't think that it has a strong performance, but only moderate, but it is a very good value for money fragrance. Anyway I am so happy to find this fragrance and will buy it soon.

An updated more precise review after owning it. It starts out quite citrusy which was not so obvious for me before (Don't love the opening so much), but after the opening it becomes more pleasant to me when the combination of nutmeg, cardamom & coffee becomes more apparent, Anyway I still love it.

Updated review no. 2: I was thinking that I have smelled something before similar to it, and finally got it, it is so similar to Dunhill pursuit. After using it more, I don't love it like first time, as it is so citrusy sweet to my taste, I was hoping for a more grounded coffee accord to be there.

Updated review no. 3: After maceration, I started enjoying it more than before, Overall I think it is a good value fragrance for the lovers of oriental spicy scents.

I got this just today and it's kind of a let down. I know I shouldn't expect too much from Avon fragrances except for a few hidden gems and timeless classics, but the Elite Gentleman series this fragrance belongs to (it is named Quest by Elite Gentleman in Europe) is considered generally "above average" to "exceptional". Not this one. First of all the ginger note is so dominant that I had a hard time detecting any other note. Even though I love ginger, the supposed coffee oil essence and cedar wood as advertised simply isn't there. Silage is moderate to low, after an hour I could barely smell it myself, after 2 hours the scent was almost completely gone. Even though I got it for only 9,50€ it could and should've been better. All in all, I decided to use it as the missing EDT part of my Fa Lime & Ginger deodorant & body spray + roll-on combo. I wish Avon would bring back the other fragrances in the Elite Gentleman line instead of churning out half baked new fragrances like this one. EDIT: I just wore my new Sauvage Elixir clone today for the first time and it smells exactly like Avon Quest. I guess Avon Quest is a Sauvage Elixir clone too, even though with poor silage and even poorer longevity as expected from Avon.

I had it for couple of days from a prerelease, but got rid of it after three wears. I hoped for something with character at low price along the lines of Absolute By Elite Gentleman but got a sweetish, not-so-coffee, dubious, lukewarm sauce instead. It's life on my skin was short- two hours tops... I did not care enough to store it for couple of weeks and try again.
