Far Away Aloha

I actually really like this! It smells like summer in a bottle I’m very tropical. However, on a bad day I feel like I would get a really bad headache from this. Whenever I have a bit of a headache waking up, I spray whatever perfume I choose between my shoulder blades so they don’t get as big of a width of it as I would spring it on my shoulders or chest area. If I have a stronger headache then I will spray it in the middle of my back where it was still project but I wouldn’t be able to smell it. I really do like this fragrance,And it does last a long time!

One of my old summer faves!! The tiare flower,mandarin orange and musk all come through together. A beautiful summer scent but it can be worn year round if you want especially on days in the colder months when you need a spring/summer pick me up. Longevity and sillage are both moderate on me.

If you bottled this and put a Guerlain label on it people wouldn't know it was Avon. This faintly reminds me of Terracotta but this is a more beachy tropical scent. In the top, you would swear there is vanilla and coconut then the tiare flower dominates. I wish it lasted longer.

This is not a summer fragrance! It is a hot mess in the hot heat! But in the very cold Minnesota winter, this sings beautifully! So try it in February and you'll smell the amazing fragrance you were expecting.

I wish you all would make a page just like this but for lipsticks and lipglosses.

I have had several weeks with this perfume, using it every day. I think it's fine, but nothing I can now recommend. It's one to tire of very easily. I think for the price, it's worth a purchase. If you like what seems to be an Avon musk, then you will further benefit. This musk seems to be an Avon musk that is chemical to me. It was fine while smelling like a sun-block. It now smells to flowery along with the chemical musk. I will just give this an average...ok....I really thought this was something to write home about! I hope it's one that will stay a favorite for you!

11/21/19 I always test new fragrances by spritzing them in the air first so I can decide if the sillage and longevity meets my work/office space expectations. Thank goodness I did not get this on my skin. NO WAY is Far Away Aloha for me. That "radiant musk" note brings this down to a scent that reminds me of a tactic someone who's not bathed or showered tries to cover up their stinky parts. BLEH. I'll have to check into the return policy. If it's not free S/H back, that's money down the drain. IMHO I'm not even comfortable using it up as a room freshener. The mandarin zest and tiara flower are beautiful, but oh! That musk note! Ugh... Nope, no way. Musk note is too much for my gag reflex. 🤢

Teachers, frequent fliers, and cubicle workers of the world--rejoice! Far Away Aloha is what you've been waiting for, as it is highly unlikely to offend anybody. It's also great as a casual summer scent. The mandarin is very juicy and lightly sweet; the tiare is lightly heady but tempered by the juicy mandarin; and the musk finishes it off smoothly. Nothing to complain about; nothing unique to praise. Yes, I will concur that it does remind me sorta-kinda of suntan lotion, but mostly I get the impression of clean laundry, hung to dry on the line with gentle wafts of fabric softener lifting from the fabric by the warmth of the sun and carried on the breeze to my nose. Far Away Aloha is nothing if not inherently likable. It's what is called on the forum an "easy reach." The turquoise bottle with its pink tassel is as cute as it appears in the official photographs, but the cap is a plastic monstrosity. It's really ugly and doesn't attach very easily (at least mine doesn't). The white and fake-gold of it doesn't really mesh well with the beautiful bottle and pink tassel, in my humble opinion. Projection is moderate to above moderate. Longevity is 7+ hours. Overall, not bad for US$13.

This is the second Tiare perfume that I’ve recently ordered.(blind buy) Both have tops notes of citrus. In both cases I can smell only an initial blast of bitter citrus rind... and it stays that way. No development to mid or base notes. Very strange indeed. I have perfume with cocoa opening, & Tiare as a mid note... I love the Tiare note so much I’ve been searching for that sweet creamy scent without a heavy top note! I ordered cheapies , Just” Cavalli , & Avon Aloha far away. I’m suspecting it’s my nose that’s failing me, because they both open with citrus... bitter... & zero sweetness... like bitter water! Waste of money! But also disappointed.

Far Away Aloha. Hmmm. I remember when this came out a few years ago. I had a catalog with a strip sample inside with this. WHOA! *LIGHT BULB💡 MOMENT* !!! This is a updated version of Avon's Hawaiian White Ginger from the 60s, bc my mother used to wear it religiously after she had her bath and she'd used the cream sachet along with the splash cologne. Now I don't have a "nose" for notes in perfumes/colognes, but I have a pretty good "scent memory" and this is Hawaiian White Ginger in an updated bottle and the liquid inside is the SAME COLOR as in HWG. Good one, Avon. You (almost) got me!

Smells like something you bought on vacation at a quaint little gift shop in a beach town when you were caught up in the moment and somehow believed that you could extend the happy feeling of your trip by capturing it in a scent memory. A fake flower hair barrette and a tube of spf 70 appeared on the same receipt as this... Happy and summery with a strong melange of white waxy tropical florals along with the musky Avon drydown.

I’m back to update my review! It IS my nose betraying me!!🤣FA Aloha is a lovely fragrance!! It definitely opens with a blast of bitter citrus, BUT, given time, reveals a slightly spicy, creamy floral accord. This is a very light soft & fresh scent, great for the hottest days on the planet! Or when you want a very subtle scent.Lovely!

A nice, but typical summer scent. The mandarin orange gives it a nice juiciness and balances the tiare flower. Very subtle hint of musk. Decent sillage and longevity, which is toned down quite a bit from the original Far Away and previous flankers.

What a cute bottle! This smells of sand and musk,days spent at the beach on vacation with my family. I love the turquoise bottle,and the pink tassel! This would be great to wear on a beach vacation. The key word here is 'cute.'
