Far Away Amalfi

This is a lovely, delicious fragrance, which blends beautifully with lavender scented body products. Although the citrus note is bergamot, it smells like lemon to me. It's perfectly balanced, neither too sharp nor too sweet. The sillage is moderate, and I usually use this as a going to bed fragrance, so I'd guess it only lasts a moderate amount of time as well. I don't smell it when I wake up in the morning.

Okay kinda weird I smell the sents of tuberous and orange blossoms but this makes me think I smell vanilla, and watermelon? Or baked chestnuts? Like a carbonated Sprite drink? I'm confused but I really like this. It's rich but not too heady. Wonderful white flowers. 9/10 Note: It can make people feel like sneezing.

Very similar to original with a twist that makes it more modern and appropriate as a summer scent. Not as cloying as the original, thankfully. Reasonable sillage and staying power. The bottle is absolutely beautiful.

I was so looking forward to trying Avon's Far Away Amalfi and now that I have, I am so disappointed. It is so weak, like a moldy stale old faded bottle of Marrakesh by Avon (I had hope it would be similar to Marrakesh) which was wonderful. I can hardly detect it and when it starts to smell nice, it is gone all in less than 10 minutes ....no detectable scent to my nose. The original version of FAR AWAY at least lasted a half hour or more.....this is worthless to me and a waist of money. I can't believe Avon put out such a poor product in this line. I have not tried all the flankers, but none were as good as the original or as bad as the Amalfi. My nose smells nothing....even Avon's body sprays are more exciting for a good 20 to 30 minutes. I would not recommend this one..

Que pecado! Eu que sou “a louca dos Farway” desde que vi essa caixinha linda e esse frasco azul Mediterrâneo achei que iria me apaixonar! Na hora me teletransportador para Costa Amalfitana,aquele paraíso mediterrânio belíssimo! Uma verdadeira viagem ensolarada! Uma fragrância deliciosa e cativante,abre com um tom cítrico de limão siciliano bem suave e fresco,junto a bergamota docinha e suculenta.O coração de flores brancas é lindo,com tuberosa pungente,flor de laranjeira e ylang ylang em perfeita harmonia,onde percebo uma cremosidade e um coco sutil levemente alcoólico,uma batida de coco divina! Td isso adoçado por uma baunilha discreta porém perceptível e deliciosa,trazendo um dulçor equilibrado na medida certa! Divino! Acredito que se adeque a várias estações e ocasiões,porém tem a luminosidade e cremosidade de um belo dia de verão Europeu! Projetou em torno de duas hs e fixou por mais de oito! 07/25/2020 • Not an Avon rep • The description of scent notes includes Italian Bergamot. I had to look up bergamot - it's described as citrus-floral with a spicy edge to it. The other note listed on the pkg. box is orange flower. I live by a lot of citrus groves - particularly oranges - and I do pick up that note that's present when the orange flowers start to bloom. By the description, you'd think it would be really citrusy but it's not. It settles into a clean powdery floral fragrance. Unfortunately, I do get a plastic, "Barbie hair" note to it. If you ever played with those dolls and smelled their hair, you know the note I'm talking about. Typical Avon longevity: 4 hours at best. All in all though I do really enjoy it. Perfect for work and church because it smells clean. I think if you like the Haiku line, you'll enjoy Far Away Amalfi too. (And the color of this bottle! Such a gorgeous blue!)

My favorite Far Away flanker.... Fresh and yet creamy. This is one of the best fragrances to wear on a humid day. I sometimes amp up the bergamot by combining Amalfi with Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Bergamonte. I think the Amalfi has a moderate performance about 5 hrs but it’s not a beast so you can overspray. Think crips white dress and comfy Birks ( but they’re gold/ silver) . Very underrated fragrance
