Far Away Infinity

Far Away Infinity gives the impression of a fruity candied jasmine, what with all the vanilla, jasmine, gardenia, and orange blossom. It's an absolutely sweet and fetching scent, reminding me, almost, of tropical fruity bubble gum, but still on just this side of "perfume-y"/floral versus leaning gourmand. It's sweet, playful, and fun and very, very pretty. So far, I've tried the OG Far Away and Far Away Gold (which very much resemble each other, though I definitely prefer the thicker richness of FA Gold over the original), but Far Away Infinity is 100% my favorite. LOVE it!!! Edit: I was initially going to store FA Infinity with my jasmine scents but, after wearing it to bed last night, it dawned on me that it's more of a gardenia scent. Oftentimes, gardenia smells like candy, to me. Also, in trying to figure out what on earth it's reminiscent of -- that I own -- I sniffed some jasmines, orange blossoms, some tuberoses and gardenias, and then spritzed on Britney Spears Curious, a light magnolia/pear scent. FA Infinity doesn't have the same notes as Curious, for sure -- so doesn't really smell *like* it -- but it definitely shares that combo of candied vanilla flowers and, somehow, the intensity of it is the same. It also made me want to pull out my Byredo Sundazed sample to experience that lovely (cotton) candied neroli and citruses though, again, it will in no way smell "the same"... When my bottle of Elie Saab Le Parfum in White came, I realized how much it smells like Far Away Infinity!

Jasmine - Vanilla warm oriental clasiness. This is my favourite take on the Far Away line. Gorgeous, sofisticated, elegant, vibrant, powerful, sweet floriental. The fragrance a sexy & classy woman wears. Not so sharp as the original, I find it more easy to pull off but mind you this is still powerful. More suited for winter and autum, but still wearable on spring and even summer (though I would defintely save it for night time). Aproppiate for work at an office, but I find it too sofisticated for an every day use.. I would save it for meeting with special clients, job interviews, etc. Sexy enough for a romantic date, classy enough for a fancy restaurant. Not a fragrance for a teeen. This suits best a woman, makes you feel a woman, no matter if you just turned 25 or if you are 60.. you will surely feel more womanly, femenine, classy and powerful. What ́s more, I would even wear this to a wedding ! It ́s that good to me! I do have others that perform better, but if you don ́t I ́d say you ́re good to go with this one already... Bottle: looks pretty and feels luxurious, it ́s a 10 for me. Sillage: stunning! Monster sillage during the first cuople of hours, then continues at least at arms lengh. Longevity: 10 hours I ́d say.. this is an Eau de Toilette, you can ́t get better for the price !! This lasts and projects way better than other Jasmine designer fragrances, such as J ́adore by Dior. Highly recommended, will definitely repurchase when I run out of this gem !

This is my favorite fragrance from the Far Away collection. I wasn’t surprised to see that the perfumer was Honorine Blanc, as she balances gourmand and floral notes beautifully. The opening is soft and comforting, with gardenia and marigold creating a sweet, soapy effect. Then comes my favorite part of the fragrance: orange blossom and jasmine begin to shine over a light vanilla base, giving the composition a creamy and luminous character. It reminds me of fragrances such as Prada Paradoxe and Issey Miyake Lumiere D’Issey, but with a creamier take on orange blossom and a more prominent vanilla base. To be honest, I prefer Far Away Infinity because of its creamier floral character, the way the orange blossom never overwhelms the other notes, and the overall balance of the composition. I would even say it is better constructed than many fragrances in the same style. Its balanced nature also makes it suitable for year-round wear, although I enjoy it most in spring. I only wish Avon had kept the original bottle design. The older bottles looked much more classic and elegant. When the tassels disappeared from the caps, I had a feeling the bottle redesign would be next. As much as I love the scent, I use my current bottle sparingly because I have no desire to buy the new version. Its projection and longevity are also better than those of many far more expensive fragrances.

Well, you've read my previous review. I thought it was all that needed to be said. But no... How many times a year am I reminded that fragrance can 'grow' on a person? What catches me more by surprise, however, is when a good fragrance morphs into a great one, the change being either perception or weather! And in this case, probably a bit of both. Yes, I gave Far Away Infinity a wearing more than once, and each time it came off as sugar-cube sweet and therefore somewhat imbalanced on my skin. BUT. Now the weather is cooler and the days more arid. Presto - somehow I'm also smelling a lot more of the dry down, whether courtesy of spraying more or not spraying where the hand sani 'erases' what's applied, I don't know. WOW is there a difference. Still very sweet, very jasmine, but lightly balsamic. In addition on dry down my happy nose now smells: Powder, Vanilla, and slightly tangy Marigold!!! Bless, you Avon. You've done it again. Not only is this a good modern flanker of Far Away as previously noted, this is a good perfume, PERIOD. Not to mention I got a complement directly after spraying. ;) Now, hours later it's a soft, cozy, powdery dream. And an expensive smelling one at that. Five Stars <3

This is beautiful. It's been a while since I did a review, but since this is new, I know how much I depend on reviews so I wanted to put something out there. It was a blind buy based on the fact that I love Exotic and Gold, and it was successful. For around $10, this is a powerhouse! One spray is going strong nearly 5 hours later! It is the white florals that dominate this, but there is a presence of the citrus, sandalwood, and vanilla that really bring this together into something that is classy and mature. It's hot, and this smells great! I also imagine it would be great in the winter or in the spring. It's quite the classy summery scent that would work super well with a sundress and sandals, but it can be cozy as well. I can honestly see the comparisons to both Alien and Olympea. It's not a dupe for either, but it has a similar vibe to both and is comparable in quality IMHO. I think this is a very good summer scent! I still think I want to get Gold and Exotic, however, since they are very different scents from this.

LuLuGoes describes Avon Far Away Infinity very succinctly - thank you LuLu! It's definitely not a tangy marigold scent. I smell NO marigold at all, to be precise. Many of Avon's recent releases seem to be jasmine centered, and this would appear to be another. And a well done one, at that. Surprisingly, I find the sugared aspect a little too-too, even while the sillage and longevity (on me) are very nice indeed. Yes, there's a definite relation to Far Away original's DNA here; it's not imagined. Both are bold, beautiful, and perform well. I was testing Far Away original the same day and if anything Infinity seemed a little stronger! May be my chemistry, but I believe the strength is nothing to complain about for the price! Bottom Line - I love powder more than sugared jasmine petals, so I bought a full bottle of Far Away instead of Infinity. This is not a criticism, as I seldom admire flankers at all, and Infinity is lovely. :D Goodonya, Avon! UPDATE - See review above. Can hardly believe it!

OMG! I'm in love with this perfume. The scent smells much expensive than its price! I can't stop smelling my wrist after used. I can smell a hint of honey jasmine and sweet vanilla, and it's not cloying. The lasting is moderate and also its sillage, but I don't mind reapplying during the day. I think this is suitable for daytime. It's kind of a good office scent. You can blind buy it, and I am sure you'll like it. By the way, I've never tried Olympea before, but Faraway Infinity 2016 smells like Valentino Assoluto to me. One of my co-workers used to ask me if I wore Valentino Assoluto on that day, and I just didn't want to make them feel awkward because they are superfan of Valentino, Chanel, Hermes, Tom Ford and etc. So, I answered "Yes, it is Valentino, you are right!" If only they knew it's Avon Lol

Blind buy, but based on the fragrance notes I decided to pick up on this lovely perfume. I adore Jasmine and when done right, it always smells beautiful without feeling too strong to the point of having a headache (I have one pure jasmine scent perfume and I can hardly wear that). I don't normally wear or use Avon perfumes but they have upped their perfume game a lot in the recent years and with perfume priced to affordable, I'm happy to purchase this one. It is not an old woman scent - it's very elegant and feminine and has lovely jasmine and vanilla. Smells a bit sparkly on my skin as well (the bergamot I'm assuming). I can imagine continuing to use this in future. It's an all year round scent, more for summer I think than winter but will have to see how it fares when winter comes around. :)

I love Far Away, Far Away Gold and especially Infinity, which is lighter and more adequate to super hot climates (today is 100 F). They are different scents with FA and FAG closer in structure, with great longevity and sillage, FA is a "screamer" because it has great sillage and is a tuberose, ylang, coconut scent. Infinity is soft, but on me has great longevity , as a soft cloud, that is felt by everyone near but very lighly. Different propositions but excellent scents for very good price. Exotic, which was loved by many , because of the hot climate does not sit well on me, exotic and heavy notes have a way of "turning" (becoming rancid) on climates like the one I live, not only Avon FAE but many others, including Dior HP and other powerhouses.

'Paris in the springtime in a bottle.' Well here we go again. Another scent that made me nauseous at first spray a couple of years ago, and now BOOM love it. Don't get me wrong, I just can't stand sweet scents they just tend to give me headaches. However, even then I knew this was still a very well-made quality blended perfume it just wasn't 'my type' per se. But now I see all the hype around this beauty. Long lasting plus silage at arm's length with a powdery sweet and smooth dry down. The dry down is similar to original Far away but even nicer and more well-rounded. l really enjoy this on its own but LOVE this layered under the Far Away Gold another flanker of this legendary Far Away line by Avon. Just gorgeous.

This is why I will never make perfume. I put this on last night and thought it smelled familiar. I thought can it BE!? And sure enough, to my nose, this is very v e r y close to B&BW Charmed Life. Of course there's a bit of difference, but not enough for me tell if someone was wearing this or Charmed Life. I love this perfume! But Charmed Life lasts much longer, and is quite a bit stronger for a good bit! I also find this similar to Rihanna's Nude. To me, Nude is the more refined one. It's for any age and lovely on all. Charmed Life is the younger of the three. And Far Away Infinity is for the beach! All three of these might be related or at the very least, they're all best friends that kinda smell alike!

WOW! This could easily pass for a designer perfume! It actually smells like it could be a flanker of olympea. It doesn’t smell the same, but it smells like it’s from the same family of notes. Beautiful, soft and creamy. If I blindly smelt this I would easily put a £60+ price tag on it. The first time I wore it was on an evening out with friends, and so many people complimented me on it throughout the night. I got the set, which included the body cream, a 50ml perfume and a mini perfume purse spray. It is amazing when layered on with the body cream. I also love the original far away too and always wore it as a teenager. Far away infinity is one of my fave perfumes, it is very sophisticated and classy.

After absolutely falling in love with the original Far Away, I figured I had to have its flankers. My perfume arrived today. It has a clean, like minty, acidic start that I'm not a fan of, but it doesn't last long, soon beachy vibes and a beautiful vanilla mixed with the most femenine and comforting powder emerge. I love what AVON does to fragrances to make them smell powdery but delicate and cozy. And I thought I didn't like powdery fragrances, think again. These fragrances are so femenine, rich and soft. I'm glad I took a chance and included this treasures into my collection. I'm getting to a point where I look for more mature fragrances. I'm 26 years old. I don't wanna smell like froot loops.

This is honestly one of the most surprisingly delightful fragrances I've smelled in a while (...maybe a few months..). I don't know if I smell any floral notes but I get a wonderful vanilla patchouli sandalwood combo, with the teeniest bit of citrus. This smells so good! I can smell it every time I move and it's wonderful. I also think I get something like caramel or fudge of some kind, no idea what but I'm loving this Far Away Infinity. And this lasts and lasts and lasts...even through three hand washes it's still there. Forget the snobbery and just get a bottle. P.S. Avon, it's time to start offering bigger bottles of perfume for women. I would like to have this in a 3.4 ounce bottle. Thanks.

It is not a different formula, local Avon decides locally which concentration of extract the perfume will have (as it is one of the most expensive factors in the cost of the unit) and so the finished product will behave differently. There are different skins types and climate but FAI was made for hot weather and on my skin it lasts for over 12 hours although with a moderate/soft sillage. I love FAI on my skin, it is a lovely vanilla/jasmine combo, although quite fresh and not too sweet or heavy (Olympea, which I find the closest scent to FAI on my skin, can turn on hot temps to be quite cloying and FAI doesn't).

I do not get on with Avon Far Away, the traditional one. Sometimes I like it, but most of the time — not. I tried to compare it with something like Shalimar, but it is sadly lacking. But then along came Infinity... the BEST flanker for a fragrance that I have ever encountered. This one is so beautiful I never want to stop smelling it! It has such a rich lovely almost tropical fruit, floral and the vanilla is subtle and not at all too sweet or sickly, unlike Far Away original can be! I need to order another bottle, I'm almost halfway in my current one and I need one on hand at all times!

A successful floral composition and one of the better-quality Far Away flankers. White florals take center stage, sweet yet free from indolic heaviness. In the opening, they are sprinkled with juicy bergamot and nuances of mango, most likely emerging from the marigold accord. As the fragrance unfolds, they are gently embraced by smooth, delicate vanilla. Together with the flacon, which evokes the image of a warm exotic sea, the fragrance radiates a joyful summer spirit, shimmering with light and fresh floral elegance. Longevity and projection are both very good.

AWESOME AVON! Hope they don't discontinue this one as they seem to do all their good ones! This, in my opinion, is a great dupe for Paco Rabanne Olympea without the price tag! I wear this for all occasions: work, to bed, going out shopping etc. I have received compliments on this one also! A lovely and delicious sweet scent that is not toothache sweet, but sublimely sweet! Longevity for me was even longer than wearing Olympea to my happy surprise :) I would definitely buy this again; a great deal on a great "high end" smelling quality fragrance from Avon!!!

This one is a definite Like, I appreciate it as a "non-expensive but great" summer-ish scent, with moderate intensity and rather weak sillage, but distinctive. With better technical qualities it would have been a massive hit, but maybe others experience better longevity. Lovely, beach-y, well constructed, with a beautiful presentation (name and bottle design). This is a very good version of the original Far Away, which is one of my current favorites over many "high-end" frags.The frosted bottle design was much nicer than the current clear glass

I bought this based off of the way it smelled on my wrist after rubbing the page and I have to say that within only a few weeks I'm down to half a bottle. To give you an idea of my taste, I like Hypnotic Poison, the original Miss Dior Cherie, Rihanna Nude, and of the Avon's I liked Mark's Marrakesh and Midnight Secret's to keep. This is so much better than the regular Far Away (a scent that the man at the gas station made a face over) and if you like Hypnose and other scents with a touch of vanilla, this is the one to pick.

White floral-vanilla-sandalwood with a twist. This is Avons best if you ask me. Great performance, lasts a long time, always garners compliments, especially from men. It gets compared to Olympea, but it’s very different, there’s no sharpness or salt here. I prefer this. It’s nothing like the OG Far Away which to me smells a little dated. Amazing for summer. It doesn’t smell expensive but certainly not cheap. Could have been a designer for sure. It’s getting discontinued or already is so stock up on this one!

This is an amazing scent, a simplicity that belies its sophistication.It is a vanilla that melds with the jasmine to make an scent that is saved from being too sweet by the tagettes and citrus. It is extremely long lasting (12 plus hours) with good sillage, although it is not a bomb, it is like having your own vanila-y cloud, perceptible but not gag inducing.I tested it on the worst conditions (over 100 F degree temp with huge humidity) and it performed admirably. Such a pity people seem not aware of it.

A very, very vintage fragrance. A soft fruity-floral amber with a gentle pear-like sweetness, creamy white florals, and a warm vanilla-musk base.Whenever I slip into one of my vintage dresses or shirts and put on the watch my grandmother gifted me, this perfume feels like the final piece that brings everything together. If you asked me who I imagine wearing a scent like this, I'd immediately say Daphne Bridgerton from Bridgerton. And somehow, I just know that Lana Del Rey must smell exactly like this 🌀

This is so much better than the original Far Away. I bought a bottle of that earlier this year and I was appalled by how synthetic it smells. I hate it. Maybe the formula was recently changed? I don't know, but I ordered it directly from Avon, so it has to be the real thing and not some knock-off. But Far Away Infinity is a beautiful, well-blended fragrance. I think it's great for any time of day and any time of year. The longevity is also fairly good. I love it. Well done, Avon. This one is a keeper.

Absolutely underrated in the budget powerhouse category. Modern but mature. Has definite longevity! I layered this with my Fragrance World B Rouge (a stellar dupe of BR 540)and it almost outperformed that monster. I've had Infinity in my perfume cupboard several years now - leading me to believe she may even have strengthened from her original opinionated self. :) Today I awoke with an earthy, mossy dry down still on my arm after applying it the night before. Enough said! Recommended.

A sophisticated & sparkling white floral with a sensual undertone. For an affordable price it doesn’t smell cheap, feels very elegant and feminine. Lasts till the next day on clothes and about 4 hours on skin. Smells lovely and shines in both the summer heat & the cold winter. Appropriate for events and casual daily use. Layers well with either vanilla or floral scents. Infinity is a crowd pleasing underrated gem. My favorite Far Away fragrance. Totally signature scent worthy!

This is one of the longest lasting scents I own, and I was surprised that I would like something as tropical as this. Especially something as POWERFUL and tropical, but I do. When I put it on I think of tropical beaches at night, of ocean breezes carrying the scents of flowers to my nose. It's a girlie drink served by the beach. I really love this fragrance, which means they'll discontinue it. It's nowhere near as overpowering as the other Far Aways. It's just enough.

When I first sprayed this, I was reminded of My Way. As it dried down, the patchouli note and vanilla really started to come through. It reminds me of a more white flower dominate version of Dark Kiss by BBW. It projects well and lasts for a good 4-5 hours. I don’t understand the Olympea comparisons at all. 🤷🏼♀️ After wearing this off and on for a week, I love it even more! This is definitely a more balsamic version of My Way on me. Delicious!

I never understood the lack of reaction or negative comments to Far Away Infinity,on me it is a sophisticated and very well balanced scent .Moreover, FAI is long lasting (8-hour plus) , can be used on any temperatures, even very hot ones (over 100 F) and has a moderate sillage that lasts form more than 4-5 hours. For me, FAI is sweet, without being cloyingly so.I am never without this perfume, a vanillary treat.

FAI has no Alien vibe whatsoever on me, if it resembles any perfume it is Olympea, but not closely. On me it lasts and lasts, although with a delicate sillage. It is good on summer heat. As for Alien , Catch Me by Cacharel and The Golden Secret by Antonio Banderas do resemble on me Alien on one of its phases (the heavy jasmine one) although with a lot less longevity (especially Golden Secret).

This is one of Avon's very good ones. It's beautiful, oriental, vanilla-floral goodness. It's not as sweet as you may think with the notes, just slightly so. Performance is fine for me. I get good projection for a few hours and if I do need to reapply, it's not expensive so I'm not troubled. Sillage is very good. I can catch it as I walk and it's wonderful.

Tried this out of sheer intrigue as I love the original far away because it's the perfume I wore when my husband and I started dating. I'm glad I tried this new one though, I'mv totally in love, its definitely one of my new favourites!! It's summery and sweet but with a hint of slightly wooded floral freshness, perfect for the warmer weather. :) <3 <3 <3

Perfect for everyday use, warm and fresh at the same time. On my skin smells different than when i spray it on clothes wich smells sweeter and better to me. I find it a lot similar to Libre YSL, could be the yasmine-vanilla combo idk. The best part i love is the drydown, when it settles to soft and warm patchuli. Smells like if you put in a blender white florals, butter, vanilla and lemon skin...It Is creamy! The original Far Away lasts longer but both are delicious! Performs better on hot weather than the original because the original is very strong and cloying, but I love both of them!

With the Original Far Away, it is the oldest flanker. It is a very feminine and intense floral. Longevity and sillage are enormous. The notes are really parallel to each other. If you are a floral fragrance lover, you have to give a chance to this classic.

I bought this from reviews. STILL...not believing a word. The very first trial wearing this scent let me know this was back up worthy! Whoa....stunning. Scent finds like this are exactly why I don't often get into very expensive scents!

This is a very lovely perfume. I swear this reminds me very much of Gaultier Classique intense. Lasts quite a long time on the skin. I just purchased some avon perfumes recently on recommendations here, and this is a winner.

This is a huge success in Brazil, as it is very long lasting with moderate projection (a soft cloud around you ) , doesn't "turn" (as many scents do on extreme heat), a vanillary paradise plus jasmine. Love it !!!!!!

Juma, on my skin Far Away Infinity improves with heat. Here in Brazil it is considered a summer perfume, because the sweet is not cloying and it exhales softly for a long time. Try it once with just one/two sprays.

Love this one. The balance is beautiful, the notes do not overpower each other, but rather compliment each other together. It's sophisticated as well as being soft. Have only had compliments when i wear it.

Thank God the tagetes didn't spoil FAI on my skin, it is a heavenly all-weather perfume with a jasmine/vanilla combo to die for!!!! And long lasting too, although with moderate to soft sillage.h

This is a longer lasting version of bath and body works Forever Sunshine. It blossoms in fall after it's been warmed up by the summer heat but now cooling in the fall winds. It's beautiful ❤️

Is this a dupe for Olimpea? That excites me for some reason :D Edit: When is it coming out?? Can't see it on the last brochure :(

One of Avon's Best Blends -- so far. Revisiting this for autumn/fall - This is one of those perfumes that is truly great. It has a slight green note to it that makes it wear a bit different than Far Away by Avon. This note makes it appear slightly unisex, almost a hint of a traditional aftershave note -- (but not so much that a woman can not wear this and feel feminine -- and not so floral that a man couldn't wear it). It is just a really good blend where it is on the border of alto and tenor -- a woman or man could wear this, if this blends well with your chemistry. (I feel that I would wear this more if it didn't have the aftershave note in it. I like it as it is now, but would probably wear this much more without that aftershave type note. I'm not opposed to unisex fragrances, but I much prefer to smell feminine...although sometimes my taste in perfumes is pretty strong (I survived the 1980's -- so give me a break!). The Far Away collection of fragrances draws a ton of compliments - They all have a common DNA - vanilla - exotic, sensual, gently spicy (Not overwhelmingly spicy like the heavy hitters - Youth Dew, Opium, Coco Chanel, Paloma, Obsession, Cinnabar, etc...) ------------- Avon has some great perfumes - Here are some of my favorites: Rare Pearls, Rare Gold, Rare Amethyst, Imari Elixir, Imari Seduction, Prima (the pink bottle), Velvet, Today -- and Far Away Infinity... all have made it into my carefully curated collection! The Far Away collection is particularly popular with men, tons of compliments. This is a great line of perfumes - (I'm really shocked to hear that Avon discontinued the original Far Away -- but Far Away Infinity wears much better on my skin with my chemistry than the original Far Away did). It may be that Far Away Gold and Far Away Infinity have surpassed it in sales. They are all three really great! Tons of compliments - Very sexy, sensuous - and hits the sweet spot where they are not too heavy, a great range of depth and silage to wear in most settings. Affordable and consecutively draws more compliments than some of my more expensive fragrances. (This is in the same general genre as Estee Lauder's Sensuous Nude line. It doesn't smell like Sensuous Nude, it just has a similar resonance and vibe to Sensuous Nude...it must be be sandalwood notes). ------------ Update: This has one fairly strong green note that reminds me of aftershave. For this reason, I feel that this may lean more masculine. I have not reached for this perfume since discovering this aftershave type note. However, this is still a great cologne. I think men would really love this. About 30 -45 minutes into wear, the aftershave note moves more into an herbal green note, similar to what is often in herbal shower gels or shampoos. I'm picking up a slight trace of cassis, which is going a bit sour on my skin today. It could be a change of diet. I've never noticed this note before now.

I just bought a trio of "Far Away" fragrances by Avon - this is packaged so darn cute with this red and purple harlequin round circle pattern. Very cute box - a great gift idea! It came with these 3 sample sized fragrances: Far Away Far Away Gold Far Away Infinity I immediately tried all three - and initially liked the way that Far Away Infinity smells on my skin the best. It has a very warm and welcoming smell to it - and smells like fragrances in the incense category - that are probably best for cooler weather. This is the perfect time of year for this. There is a slight chill to the air in the day and much cooler at night. It goes on fairly strong - but this has a fragrance chord that blends into the skin - rather than having notes that leap out at you. I like this type of fragrance best. All of my very favorite fragrances seem to have this same quality where they wear like a chord - rather than having a few loud notes that you can easily detect. This is the first day to wear Far Away Infinity. It sprayed on fairly heavy and a bit intrusive, so this is one that you'd want to spray about an hour before attending a meeting with someone. As you wear it, it gradually fades. Seven hours into wearing this - I can barely detect it now. It has diminished to a very faint smell on my wrists now. Looking forward to spraying this again - to catch more glimpses of how this is setting up on my skin. So far, I really like this. A great find! ---------- I agree with the comments from a few other reviews... this fragrance has a higher end quality about it. It appears to be a higher end fragrance. I never would have suspected it to have been a drug store brand body spray type fragrance. This has much more substance, a much richer quality. This is a very good quality fragrance for the price. A great buy! I love Avon's Rare Collection - Rare Pearls, Rare Gold, Rare Amythist are my favorite fragrances in that collection. I sprayed Rare Pearls on my wrist right above where I spayed Far Away Infinity - and this is a fragrance chording that smells harmonious with one another. Rare Pearls acted as the Treble Clef - and Far Away Infinity acted as the base notes. Beautiful all together -- or separate!

As I've mentioned in previous perfume reviews, I'm not usually a fan of gardenia, but in Far Away Infinity it is beautifully balanced with the marigold and bergamot - lighter & fresher compared to how it usually reacts with my body chemistry. There does also seem to be a bit of lemon in the background; yes bergamot is citrusy, but the lemon here is pure and distinct to my nose. The biggest difference between Infinity and the other Far Away flankers is in how fresh & airy the orange blossom and jasmine are; the lemon and floral blend from earlier linger and meld through the heart & base, keeping everything more freshly sweet, rather than heady & powdered. The base is like a vanilla spongecake, that is decorated with edible flowers; the vanilla stats developing early, but gradually warms up and becomes creamier as the sandalwood deepens. Most days I've worn Infinity I haven't even detected a hint of the patchouli, because there is such a teensy amount in here - so if you aren't keen on patchouli in fragrances, don't let that put you off trying it. I enjoy Far Away Infinity way more then I expected to enjoy a gardenia-lead strongly floral perfume. I was expecting it to be 'nice' enough but nothing special, however I'm now strongly considering buying a backup... Infinity smells 'lighter' than the other Far Away editions I have experience with, yet still has the longevity and aura I've come to think of as standard for the line [the usual 8/9 hours & moderate aura]. It kind of has the same sweet & fresh floral feel as Marc Jacob Daisy, but has much better longevity - the actual fragrances aren't very similar to me, just the overall vibe is reminiscent. For me Infinity definitely goes above Far Away, Far Away Gold, Glamour, and Rebel & Diva. I still prefer Rebel and Royale a tiny bit more, and Beyond is still my top recommendation above everything else. I'm really looking forward to trying out the upcoming Far Away offering [Far Away Aura], as so far there have been no real misses in this line of flankers.

This is a really solid fragrance if you like the jasmine and vanilla combo mixed with some citrus and flowers. To me, this is an oriental that has a floral side stronger than a fruity side (the only fruit I can smell here is a prominent citrus note). This stands out more than the original because the notes are a bit more distinctive and it is not as blended, but it is also more headache-inducing than the traditional. I really like how it smells, especially on other people. It can be complicated for people with a more sensitive nose to endure this scent. Longevity is moderate, similar to the traditional, but slightly better (5h) and projection is a little beyond an arm's length. Only go for this if you really like that jasmine, vanilla and citrus combo. I think I do not like all of that in a fragrance and prefer them isolated. Great value if you love the scent though. 6/10

Far Away Infinity has gorgeous jasmine, vanilla and bergamot, but on my skin the tagetes is much too strong, extremely bitter green. Tagates is the family of flowers that marigolds come from. Unfortunately, this tagetes note overpowers the pretty jasmine and other notes and spoils this fragrance on my skin. What a shame ! If not for tagates, this would be a perfectly feminine beauty that would work anywhere any time. Be sure to test first, from the spray bottle, not just the paper sample in the Avon book. I didn't detect tagetes at all from the book sample, but it's definitely there in the spray bottle. I plan to keep the bottle and try it again in cold weather. Maybe the summer heat is amplifying the bitter green tagetes note ? I sure hope I can wear Infinity some day. All of it's other notes are really very pretty.

It is interesting how people have such different reactions to scents, and this one is no exception. I like it quite a bit and think Avon have improved vastly with their perfumes. I like this one so much I wish it came in 100ml but they only ever do 50ml bottles. It reminded me first spray of Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana but that might just be me. I love it and don't mind that it is somewhat strong and sweet. I am tired of weak perfumes in any case. I can smell such a beautiful mixture of smells and I am no perfume expert so can't tell you what is what but I love it. However, we are all different, our skin reacts differently, we like different smells, etc. I remember trying Poison by Christian Dior on me and hated it but loved it on other people. Just saying.
