Far Away Paradise

Far Away Paradise's cheap price and less-than-perfect packaging fooled me like most people :) . It gave me a headache when I first smelled it but after it dried... ooh la la la la! The scent is so lush and ornate, like a tropical vacation in a bottle. there are people around me wondering the name of this perfume

i love the original but it smells awful on my skin, this one luckily worked with my chemistry, smells wonderful, sexy, strong & surprisingly has many layers; people -especially guys- seem to think that i'm wearing an expensive designer fume when i wear this one, happy it worked with me

This is just divine! If you love far away original,you will love this.It is a bit lighter,similar base with lovely fruity notes. GORGEOUS! I have a bottle of far away fantasy on the way-not listed on here(blue top),cant wait to try that one :)

I love that a little goes a long way with this because the staying power is amazing. It is very unique and exotic. Edit: Just sprayed some on today and fell in love with it all over again!

Reminds me of Avon Lahana which was available many many years ago, unfortunately it was discontinued. Lahana has stronger and fruitier smell than FA Paradise.

very nice think I like this one better than the original

I like this better than the original one. Well, it's hard to say, at first it give me headache but after dried down it give a very pleasant smell. so for me it's kind of mixed up whether i love it or hate it!? all in all Far away Paradise is last quite long and smell too expensive for the Avon perfumes but in cheap packaging. edit: i think i've fall in love with this one, because it cause me no more headache and i love wearing it to bed...ohh i can feel now how it's called Far Away Paradise. better to wear in a cold day than hot sunny day through.

This shouldnt be compared to the original far away as it isnt at all similiar to me. Nothing oriental here.. I get the peaches and also a pineapple although its not listed.. The vanilla and amber smoothes it out making it creamy but not really sweet and not heavy at all. It is a fresh fruit with light floral on me. Sillage about 8 inches. Very good for Avon, they do have a few winners, unfortunately those are the ones they tend to discontinue..

i'm a lover of the original, but this is great too! a little less fruity than the original but a very pleasant smell. i got compliments all the time specially from my bf.

i must say the original is better although this is quite nice. i think that it has an acquired smell to be honest. FTW my sister calls it 'bratz' perfume. LOL!

I like this one so much! It's not too sweet, and very relaxing. Beautiful!

It's so fresh but not too fond of it.

I was expecting to love this and I really wanted to, but it smells of fermenting peaches!!! The bottle's pretty but that's the only positive comment I can make. Lasts quite well. Good if you like it. Bad if you don't and I definitely DON'T.

Awful chemical mess. It smells like fragranced bleach and is blindingly strong. Nobody would take it off me either.

I'm taking a rather large, exaggerated breath here, to prepare for maybe the shortest review I've ever done. This perfume is doll plastic, warmed efficiently by a backseat window. Evoked for your pleasure by the sour interior of a 1979 Goldenrod Pinto with minor body damage. And just like my parents' perspectives, remains unchanged from start to finish. That is all.

Far Away Paradise by Avon is actually one of the perfume I bought when I was still in college somewhere around 2007. Back then, if you have or wear a perfume from Avon it will be really something and my friends were all amazed by this perfume. My mom's favorite is the Original Far Away and it has been her signature for years. But now she have switched to more funky yet elegant perfume Naughty Remix Britney Spears. I can say that mature woman really love that kind of warm, cozy and heavy scent which Far Away & Naughty Remix have some phase of it in common. I like Far Away Original too, but I only enjoyed the drydown the part when the perfume has settled and mild down. Well for me I love something sweet & fresh. After I received my paycheck worked as a part timer banquet waiter in one of 5 star hotel when I was in college. I was so excited because i tell myself im going to get me Avon perfume.So I drop by in one of Avon outlet shop uptown and start to sniff2. That's when I found this and I use till the last spritz of it. I love Far Away but I want to let my mom feel special and unique with her Far Away perfume. So I choose this instead, beside I believe Far Away Paradise is much more better suited for younger audience like me at that time. I can say that there are resemblance but softer in the background of the original Far Away in this perfume but the peach lends it sparkling fresh sweetness on the top. Making it smells almost the same like Far Away original but shielded by the peach fresh sweetness. Yesterday night, I went for a movie with friends around 7pm and we're planning to watch DEAD POOL by Ryan Reynolds. But since it was the first day of the movie and its a sneek peak show so all the schedule are screened late almost midnight and we chooses 11.45pm show. So while waiting, we all just go around the mall window shopping. Then I saw this Velvet pink perfume box on the display shelves at Avon store. I tell myself "Hey,Mat. It's one of your favorite when you were still in college, don't you want to revisit your old favorite perfume ?". I step in into the Avon outlet, asking for the Far Away Paradise tester from the SA and leave with a brand new 50ml Far Away Paradise perfume along with the 9ml roller ball Far Away Paradise pocket size perfume. I re-visited my old time favorite perfume and purchased it. Really glad i did it, now I can recall back my college memories and feel happy to have this back in my collection. PS : If you love or like only the drydown of Far Away original You all should try this.This has the Original Far Away smells like the drydown part which is my favorite.

I read the reviews of Far Away Paradise and ordered a small bottle on eBay, just to try this out. I agree with the reviews that say that this is not very similar to the original Far Away. This wears in the same strength and the same octave as Far Away, Far Away Gold, and Far Away Infinity... this comes in at the Alto Range...not too high, not too low. With my chemistry, this is wearing a bit soapy... It almost has the fragrance of a stronger soap or shampoo that wears close to the skin - just after a bath or shower. As far as my initial impression of this - I'm not in love with it, instantly -- but I'm not rushing to wash this off my skin, either. I've learned over time not to pre-judge a fragrance too soon - because sometimes a fragrance starts off much different than it finishes... and some have really surprised me at how they caramelize later on my skin. Far Away Infinity, Far Away Gold, and Far Away - all have an instant draw for me. I'm really drawn to each of these and they do amazing things with my chemistry where each attracts a lot of compliments throughout the day. I'll have to wear this a few days and see the response. -------- Avon has some fabulous perfumes, bath gels, and body lotions. My first exposure to this line of fragrances was Rare Pearls, Rare Gold, and Rare Amethyst. The Imari collection is incredible too. Imari Elixir, Imari Seduction, and Imari Mystique are all really GREAT ON! Their new fragrance - Velvet - has some of the best body lotion and shower gel that I've ever tried. Avon does fragrance extremely well! If you haven't tried their products, I highly recommend them! The Far Away collection of fragrances is one of the better "Incense Range" perfumes. They each have an earthy, incense quality to them that resonates in a way that is far different than most cotton candy fragrances that are common in today's market. They resonate in a rich, earthy, sultry way that makes you feel subtly sexy and exotic - but also has a grounded level of sophistication and appears to be much more expensive than its retail price point. Avon's Far Away collection are all individually appealing and draw a lot of compliments! The longer this wears on my skin - the more it opens. I'm liking this much better at 45 minutes into it - than the first minutes of wear. We'll see! This may be another signature fragrance! I agree that this perfume may be more of an acquired smell - than some of the others. But the longer this wears on the skin, the more appealing this becomes!

I sort of like this. I bought a half used tester at a flea market. It's pretty nice for Avon. I have quite a bit of Avon, but don't wear much of it. I can't quite wear the original Far Away because it just seems to bother me somehow. This flanker is more wearable for me. There are a couple of the flankers I don't mind, the other one being the one that has chai tea as a note. I don't have that one yet, but I may end up with it. For the price I paid for mine, I could even use it for room spray.

I remember the first time a good friend of mine gave me a sample of this. It wasn't as great as I thought it would be. The packaging etc just didn't save this fragrance. It was a little too sweet to my liking.
