Far Away Rebel & Diva

This is STRONG. By far one of the strongest perfumes I’ve tried in recent months - and definitely by far the strongest Avon perfume I’ve owned (actually, most of the Far Away scent family is strong, but I don’t like most of them - especially the original Far Away. They have this disgusting synthetic oriental note, something very floral, not sweet at all - it’s instantly recognisable and instantly vile, a definite old lady scent). This doesn’t smell like any of the other Far Away family, in my opinion - it’s very much a stand-alone scent. Very pretty bottle. First spray blasts you with maybe a hint of typical chemical alcohol FA scent, but that soon dries down. This is oriental and very musky. It actually gets better the longer it wears. Very sultry, I get a strong blast of peppery floral at the opening, which dries down to a musky, deeper floral type scent after slightly longer wear, then dries further down to a base note that allows some sweetness through, it’s only literally right on the finishing edge of the dying notes that I get a kind of rich, popcorn caramel mixed in with the musky warmth. For an Avon ‘cheapie’, this is a surprisingly complex fragrance, with real heart - spicy and warm and actually quite expensive smelling. Sillage and longevity are both amazing. My partner goes absolutely mad for this, is so sultry and feminine and definitely gets better the longer you wear it. Love it.

Rebel & Diva reminds me of the first Rebel perfume right of the bat, thanks to a burst of currants immediately upon application. The peppercorn combined with something almost sour and salty gives the opening to the perfume a slightly masculine twist. Rebel & Diva is connected to the original Faraway and Rebel by the powdered floral heart; I think that there is some rose and orange blossom alongside the listed jasmine, and possibly ylang-ylang too. The heart is completely different to the fruity & sharp opening, by being powdery & sweet; there is nothing that screams 'popcorn' to me, but there is some buttery caramel. I think that there is patchouli in Rebel & Diva, as there is something dirty & earthy, behind the lightness & sweetness as the perfume begins to dry down. The brand's standard musk, sandalwood and vanilla blend in the base is soft and allows the patchouli to be the focus - perfect for preventing the lingering powdery & sweetness from being too much. Rebel & Diva is very enjoyable and I do highly recommend it - it is impressively complex, especially considering the low price point. It wears for between the six to eight hours range, and carries for around a foot. Well worth checking out.

I want to stress the sillage and the sexy combination of the layers. You can definitely feel like a diva when you use it. Very good price for smelling so feminine.

This one's been sitting around for years and smells exactly the same as when I first got it. It's not one that you'd fall really in love with, but it's pleasing to wear. The start is a bit monotone with the scent itself as it is very loaded with pepper but the past reviews exaggerate that far too much. It is definitely NOT a black pepper and this "pepper bomb" fades rapidly. I'm not well versed in the terms of fragrances but there was something about the smell of this that I couldn't describe until I looked at the accords and the "sweet" and "soft spicy" is exactly what describes this perfume in it's entirety. I don't really get caramel and it's a soft spicy that I've experienced hundreds of times before. It gets sweeter the longer it's worn in my opinion and it actually loses that distinct "pepper" scent mostly if not completely. After a while it really just smells like a classic soft spicy perfume with hints of sweetness there's not really any telling how this scent started or opened and what flavour it was meant to be / notes it's supposed to have. I could honestly see people mistaking this for a faint supposed-to-be raspberry. I will say this: This is the only Avon perfume where I've actually received a compliment from a stranger and I've only worn it out in public a few times. Disappointing because this is is not in my top 3 for Avon perfumes (but I'd say it's pretty close behind) and I've not received any compliments from my top 3 which I have used extensively. Wear it around evening/night time in fall/winter (that's when I got the compliment). I wouldn't recommend getting this anymore though - not because it's bad but because there's way better things out there unless you want something that doesn't have a distinct scent, just sweetness and soft spiciness. It does smell like something that would come from Avon, I'm sure a lot of people could tell lol.

I can’t say I particularly like it, perhaps on the contrary, for me there is something too definitive and strong about this smell. I use it only during cold winter days/nights when I have to spend most of the time outdoor so I do not overwhelm anyone with this smell. To me it smells like a harsh spray of dusty pepper bag that fall down on the ground and it’s dust spread around all the room, so you started sniffing. There is also a shy note of popcorn, or better to say, popcorn bathed in a lot of pepper. Surprisingly, everyone complimented this smell on me multiple times. The other reason I still use it is that it survives -20C cold and does not disappear after 30 minutes after applying, but stays for hours.

Define "old lady smell". What's wrong with their smell? 😏 Fragrances are for all ages and gender, as long as you like to wear them. To the fragrance: It does not smell vintage, "old lady", at all. Instead, it smells pretty much "young lady", modern, if there is such a definition... It does not have the Far Away DNA, it's a completely different fragrance. I get lots of Pink Pepper, floral, and salty caramel. I wish I could smell popcorn as well, but I don't 🍿 It's pleasant on my nose. It was a nice surprise and instant like! To me, this smells of red fruits, bitter chocolate and orange blossom plus the Avon smell that appears in most of their mid-range scents. Once settled, there's a strong resemblance to Little Red Dress/Little Black Dress Party. *Added note: Today I've noticed there's a hint of Avon Dreamlife in there too, if you remember that from a zillion years ago? A kind of sherbert/fizzy quality - more lemonade than Prosecco. But nice! Great stillage. A rather pleasant fragrance for the price and great value for money. Expect compliments when you wear this!

What?? This is so strange and I love it. I've fallen in love with Avon purse sprays. They're around £5, 10ml and they have an obscene selection. It's perfect. I totally get the popcorn note on the dry down. Its weird but WORKS. The popcorn salt mix gives this oakmoss ambroxian vibe but super wearable. This is a delight! I'm having so much fun. If I do manage to go through any of my purse sprays, then I'll buy a bottle. I love these for "wearable" scents with a personality. Far Away line is my fav so far!

I like this one very much. I'm not good at discerning all the different elements in a perfume. This one seems to open with something quite spicy, maybe it is pink pepper. Then I get a lovely floral note and as it develops it seems a warm and comforting fragrance. I could wear this at any time.

I get fruity berries or cherries but also slightly menthol cough sweets with it and then it turns warmer and woodier. I do like this but I don’t think it is that amazing or memorable so will be selling my bottle. I want perfumes I love only!

pleasant scent with interesting ingredient mixes. caramel is not as strong as I hoped when I ordered this, but this is still sweet and balanced enough to not be musty. good projection and longevity for the money!

One of the best from Avon imo. It's complex, spicy, sweet and sexy.

This fragrance is just a pepper bomb for me. It's very intense in the opening and lingers for a while before dropping into a spicy caramel scent, but the jasmine and rose still keep it quite fresh. I did prefer this scent in the spring because of the flowery notes, but the pepper is unavoidable. It's overpowering and leaves me with a bit of a headache (and I never get headaches from perfumes). Also someone said it smells like baby wipes, and I would have to agree. Wouldn't purchase again.

I love rebel and pretty much every far away flanker apart from endless sun and exotic (I think)so I assumed I'd love this. Especially with the caramel notes. I don't get caramel at all. As with far away beyond there is a strong pepper overtone that does soften after about 10 mins luckily. But this makes it for me at least decidedly unisex. I'm very much a feminine fragrance lover so I will spritz this once in a while but it isn't one I usually reach for.

This one is a hard one to describe. It smells like red pepper and popcorn. Something more for cool weather to wear for Friday movie evenings or afternoon festivals during fall. Cosy, mature and a bit nostalgic. Longevity is 3-4h, not eau de parfum performance at all and it does not project too much but it is noticeable up close.

This is delicious. The note on the popcorn is delightfully strong, I just wish it would last longer. Dries to such a fairly common but pleasant peppery jasmine caramel. This lasts better on my skin than the original Rebel. Very nice!

I get a hint of chocolate, but it's definitely a dry, savory baker's chocolate. I don't really get any caramel, but I do get a hint of the florals. Like a lot of Far Away scents, I have a hard time getting past the baby wipe note.

This is a black Pepper BOMB it is so overwelming almost ruined it in my opinion. I hated it at first then it grew on me little by little by forcing myself to wear it in the cold winter mornings going to work. But it is still just a "like". I wanned popcorn i only smelled it for like 2 second when i sprayed the bottle when i got it since then it it stright up men cologne and black pepper. I kind of like smelling like a man from time to time but it was not the vibe i was looking for when i blind bought this bottle. Hermes twilly poivrée is a more sophisticated black pepper in my opinion and more wearable and classy. Will finish the bottle but will not repurchase this.

This is an example of a perfume that could have been good then got messed up because of one single overwelming note. I saw reviews on this on youtube when i looking for a sweet popcorn perfume. And yes i was pleasantly surprised when i sprayed this and got that middle note of popcorn but the STRONG BLACK PEPPER COMPLETELY RUINS THIS FRANGRANCE FOR ME, i get pepper from to to bottom. And the popcorn note does not last. As another review said this fragrance i can only wear outside in winter AND i will suffer before finishing this bottle if i ever do.

Smells like a cinema hall. Popcorn and caramel from the buffet, mixed with perfume. There is nothing "diva" or "rebellious" about it. A cozy smell, I would wear it in fall/winter, but not on first few dates. Just to be clear I love the original Far away, I would bathe in it, but this does not remind me of the original at all sadly. Not my type.

(I love great Avon and Oriflame scents, this is not snobbism talking.) Far Away Rebel & Diva is the essence of a fictional generic 'catalog scent' with the DNA of all the completely uninteresting Avon and Oriflame scents. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yummy bright and fresh pepper caramel goodness! The scent doesn't become too sweet because of pink pepper and that's what I appreciate. Soft spicy, sweet, woody, a great creation for autumn/winter.

I am a fan of pink pepper perfumes but this one - simply NO . The mix of bergamot and that magnolia and some resin - even though i like them as separate ingredients, in this particular perfume they just give the impression of an old lady scent. I dont feel any hint of popcorn in there , but one thing is for sure : this is a perfume to be worn on cold weather . I dont find it sexy , even though there are comments here that state this is a compliment getter. I would just spray this on me one day when going out and test people s reaction . Edit : The dry down of this is slightly made me change my opinion a tad bit ,i dont find it to be THAT repulsive but i would give this another chance Edit 2: absolutely no. It smells like sweat. I dislike this perfume on me and on others too (gave it to my mom and she kinda likes it, doesn't find it repulsive). Maybe my sense of smell is broken lol .WORST perfume i ever smelled. salty, earthy,popcorn-y..

This is a ninja parfume, and not in a cool way. At first this perfume smells of some nice flowers. I don't think it's just Yasmine, must be some other flowers as well... But never mind that, listen to this: When the flowers smell fades away, after maybe half an hour, then it literally starts reeking of sweat! I couldn't believe this. I started doubting my nasal sences... So I had to test it with my friends. and guess what - they had the same WTF reaction. I mean, that stink lasts for ages. I had it sprayed on my jumper, and it stayed there until I washed it.

Ooof... agree with other reviews. This has patchouli in it I’m sure! I can’t find anything to like about this floral, pink pepper, patchouli scent - it’s got a tiny hint of popcorn but it’s rather subtle and it’s not gourmand to me at all. I get the Jasmine pretty high up in the note structure so maybe that’s tainting it for me as I don’t like Jasmine. I love the original Far Away and the original Diva, but this one is a mess!

This is such a weird composition of fragrance notes!! The opening STINKS of those stale, crumbly carnival toffees, and I don't know who on earth thought that pepper and buttered popcorn would improve this scent... Spraying it directly on my skin is just too much for my nose to handle, just so very awful. I think I would have liked Far Away Rebel better.

this smells like an old lady.. I was excited to try a perfume that has a popcorn note in it but I was disappointed. Nothing nice about this, it ́s too strong and dusty smelling. Do not buy this

The masculine pepper note is wayyyy too strong and I can't smell any other notes. It's a hard no from me.

This is death. Smells cheap, chemical, sweet and just disgusting. Avoid at all costs.

oh,my... this one is weird...in its first notes it smells like lancome la nuit tresor, in its middle notes it is that plus notes that pull slightly masculine (not particularly a fan of that stage) and in its really base notes is where the perfume shines: caramel and popcorn indeed... so yummy and sensual at the same time... that amazing stage is what lingers on your clothes and you keep getting delicious whiffs in the air... how I wish this perfume had this stage only throughout its duration...it isn't smelling bad through its other stages, the problem is that it is kind of messy in its middle notes that last so long... but for those base notes....oh my... I'll just spray it on clothes and wait for that stage only... If anyone's wondering, this one is a like for its first notes, an ok for its middle notes and a love for its base notes, so I can't really vote with these vote faces here because I am torn... Have any Fragranticans suggestions of perfumes that smell like popcorn and caramel throughout?I would love to know..

I was a big fan of the Far Away Rebel perfume, which I found extremely pleasant and long lasting for an Avon perfume.So of course I bought this one too.And even though it was a blind buy, I am happy I did it. At first, the pink pepper note is very prominent and sharp, then the perfume softens a bit and on me I could smell a bit of magnolia and salted caramel.It has a well deserved name, considering the perfume really smells like an expensive yet a bit vintage perfume(like Rare Pearls had a lovechild with the Far Away Rebel lol) Overall, a nice addition to the Far Away Rebel line, and I really hope they add more perfumes like these two.In my opinion, the Far Away Rebel and Rebel & Diva are one of the most unique Avon perfumes

At first I was afraid of the reported popcorn note - the hideous smell of this is one of the many reasons I never go to see a film anymore. However, what I get from Rebel & Diva is a warm caramel note, slightly spicy, with a long lasting freshness, I presume from the bergamot and litchi. Long lasting, but not cloying. A great bargain fragrance.

It reminds me of Moubousin Elixir Pour Elle. I think that perfumes with pink pepper are luxurious and special. I sprayed it on the curtains and it just filled the entire room.

The popcorn note isn't that lasting, but it's there for sure. if u smell it right after the dry down...the popcorn is there!

Salty crunchy popcorn, pepper and caramel? On a soft bed of florals yum. Love this. Love Avon! Sooo underrated.
