Far Away Soleil

Beautifully fresh summer fragrance. The sparkle of citrus dies down immediately and you’re left with a soft floral cloud of orange blossom, a touch of honeysuckle, the softness of powder and warmth of amber. Doesn’t last, sad to say; it fades within two to three hours. The sillage seems soft to moderate for as long as the fragrant cloud remains...but over too soon. This is one of the only remaining Avon fragrances in my collection. Pleasant, unobtrusive, very much a spring scent heralding new life and able to be worn into the heat of summer. Some may find it too powdery, but I genuinely love this one. Potential rebuy, but I still have 3/4 of a bottle because 2-3 sprays are sufficient. Perfect scent for a picnic or BBQ because it won’t offend anyone and will gracefully fade.

Soft and warm, the citrus isn't acidic; more fruity/tropical. Very nice. Smells like lotion to me, maybe that's because of the orange flower. There's a body care brand called Earthly Body that has a scent "Isle of You," and this reminds me of it. I plan to layer this with their body oil. Editing to add: I love this more than I expected, it's just so PRETTY!! Powdery, sweet, and fresh. I layered it over Mitsouko today--very nice!

This is the far away I meant to rebuy. I thought it was infinity that I loved so much, which I do but it's Soleil that I'm truly in love with for summer! It is a sunny fluffy cloud of sweet serene happiness 🌞

To me it smells powdery with a hint of sweet. It seems a bit strong at first but mellows a bit after you have been wearing it and smells very NICE.

On me,this is very soapy and powdery. Within ten Minnutes it dies down and you start smelling the citrus and amber. This scent is completely gone in under two hours,and that's being generous. Projection only lasts for about 15 minnutes max. It's nice, but It's nothing special, not worth the money, and it's nothing memorable. It's just meh. If this had better staying power I would absolutely rate it higher.

Omygosh! This is beautiful! It's like Avon crooked it's finger at the sun and popped it into the bottle like a genie and when you spray it a little warm citrus puff of white curling smoke comes out.Sniff Smile. Mmmmm. For me, spray, walk through, not spray direct.... I can't handle the sun. Ha ha.

I just received a bottle of this yesterday, which I had looked forward to trying since I first saw it in the Avon brochure. When I initially sprayed it on, my first sniff was what I can only describe as melted plastic. Needless to say, my first instinct was to scrub it off, but I resisted the urge in order to give the perfume a fair try. I like most of Avon's current fragrance lineup, and I was determined to give this one a fair chance. I was never able to identify any of the listed notes, but with more time, the scent did improve. The plastic-type smell that came with the first spritz faded quite a bit, but was never completely gone until the frag faded and became a skin scent after a couple hours. Sillage and longevity were both poor for me. It may just be my chemistry, but I can't recommend this one, sadly. And this will not be a fragrance that I will re-buy.

I believed I would like Far Away Soleil but sadly I was wrong. To my fussy nose there is an overwhelming synthetic, harsh note - perhaps faux honeysuckle. It is so harsh on me that I don't even smell the tangerine and amber. My two favorites of the Far Away line are the original Far Away and Far Away Infinity. I'll be giving Far Away Soleil to a friend who doesn't have a fussy nose like mine and as she puts it - "will wear anything". And I'll bet it'll smell great on her.

A nice flanker, I wasn’t disappointed to be expecting something summery. Far Away Soleil reminds me of a cross between Biagiotti’s Tempore Donna and Ralph Lauren’s new ‘Woman’. Average sillage and longevity. For the the price it’s nice:)

I'm definitely cheering this perfume bottle ON! Love this! Anything that reminds me of the SUN is a clear winner! ------ After trying some purse size fragrances of the Avon Far Away collection - I have found that there are notes within Far Away that evoke a lot of compliments, particularly from men. Far Away and Far Away Infinity are two of my new Avon favorites. Both are surprisingly wearable and they both draw tons of compliments. I decided to take a risk and dive into a blind buy of Soleil based on some of the reviews that I have read on Avon's website - as well as Fragrantica. There were enough positive comments on this that I went out on a limb and purchased this before sampling it. ------- The first notes of Soleil - were not my cup of tea. But I've learned to let a fragrance steep on my arm before making major judgements. The first notes of this hit my nose like Aqua Velva - which I feared was a chemical reaction - an indication that I wouldn't like this one, based on chemistry. 45 minutes into this - I caught a waft of the breeze with this fragrance gently capturing my attention - and was totally DELIGHTED! There is a slightly orange-y - honey'ed essence that dances on the arm - like sparkling iridescent stars... A galaxy to be discovered --- and found. Avon has my heart with this one. It resonates in the same undertones as my beloved Annick Goutal - Eau Du Ciel - which I've loved for years! Fresh, clean, clear, whimsical, playful with an essence that is warm - like the sunlight during the golden hour - my favorite time to shoot pics... where the sunlight dances on the subject and creates beautiful prisms of light. Love this! Thank you Avon! I've found ANOTHER treasure that I truly LOVE!!!!

I was quite excited to be able to test this latest Far Away flanker... Would it live up to the best in Avon's line of delightful Far Away releases? Not really, no. If you're looking for a light little citrus scent with a pretty amber/orange blossom dry down, then all is well. If you want a scent with any power or character, look elsewhere. Comparisons have been made to Ralph Lauren Woman, and I want to clarify that there's only the TINIEST resemblance in the quiet base notes. Woman distinctly outperforms Soleil. Not that Woman is a strong scent, mind you! On the bright side, Soleil isn't likely to offend anyone, and would make a charming gift for a young person or someone sensitive to strong fragrance. No parent is going to object to their child wearing such a scent - it's milder than some shampoos! Conclusion: For a modern flanker with flair, please check out Far Away Infinity. However, those who love soft amber/orange blossom may have a win here.

Blind buy that is the beauty of Summer.I recently purchased this from an Avon Outlet sale. Delightful and spunky scent. Tangerine,coconut,vanilla,light florals. Leaves a light and powdery Summer escape in the air. A change from my usual florals and balsamic picks. I do only wish this scent was stronger. Still lovely.

I just purchased a blind buy of Avon's "Far Away Collection" with Far Away, Far Away Infinity, and Far Away Gold. I love Far Away and Far Away Infinity - and can't wait to try Far Away Soleil! I wish they would make one with coconut and musk -- That would be GREAT!

@correspondence you should had tried Far away Dreams (sadly discontinued) but you should definitely give it a try to Far Away Exotic (i smell coconut+spices.... tropical vibe for sure)

A powdery, soft floral. Light, close to the body. Bottle is similar, if not identical to, a previous Far Away flanker. Very pretty box worth keeping.

This smells exactly as Far away Dreams, even the bottle looks the same. I'm kind of disappointed because I was expecting something different
