Far Away Splendoria

Expensive. That's my immediate impression of Splendoria; musk envoloped woods, with a very authentic gardenia note adding a spicy cream undertone to things. I can pick up on the plum too, but it is very mild on me and isn't always immediately noticeable. The musky wood/white oud blend remains the main focus of Splendoria throughout it's weartime, but notes of coconut cream, vanilla, orange blossom, & jasmine, all gradually develop behind the woody blend and this quiet mix provides Splendoria a sneaky & playful nod to the classic Far Away blueprint. As the floral blend in Splendoria gradually dries down, the woody notes gain a sense of smokyness. There's some patchouli too, for added dirty spiciness, that it is really moreish when it combines with the lingering creaminess, in a way that is hard to describe - a sweet & fluffy, heated dirt. You all know what to expect when it comes to the longevity and aura of a Far Away edp by now; it is very impressive for such a affordable brand, coming in at an average of 9 - 12 hours, with an aura of around a foot. I found it to be a bit much in warmer weather, but now that we're moving into autumn & winter I'm loving it - I've been reaching for it every other day, any occasion. Splendoria has rapidly moved into my personal top 3 of favourite Far Away fragrances - it is between this, Rebel, and Beyond. Royale and Rebel & Diva are also very impressive editions in the Far Away line, and narrowly missed out on being in my top 3. Glamour, Infinity, and Aurora are all well above average as well, and worth the price too. Heck even the original Far Away isn't 'bad' - I personally find it too intense & it triggers my frequent migraines, but I am migraine-prone and I don't think that the actual fragrance is horrible or anything.

This is my first Avon perfume, and I am genuinely impressed about the quality. I have always felt the ick regarding Avon due to its marketing strategy so naturally buying anything from them isn't on the top of my list. I accidentally clicked on a random add that directed me to eBay and somehow I ended up looking at Avon perfumes. Far Away Splendoria was the one that got me intrigued and eventually purchased. After a whole month of waiting, I finally received in the mail. Upon spraying, a blast of resinous white floral punches through. It is potent and I love it. The white floral note is well-supported by the spicy woody and creamy note, and the plum note here added even more characters to it. Plum is something that can go a little iffy on me because sometimes it goes sour on me. I am happy to report that it didn't on me. The oud here isn't scary, it is however a bit synthetic. It is a smooth blend regardless. The scent profile although is tenacious, it stayed relatively the same throughout I must add. Overall, this is a well-blend and very unique creation that I think can be completely unisex.

One word for this: SMOOTH. If you like being noticed by your scent? If you want to smell unique? This is your girl. Some people may not prefer it but they can’t say you smell bad because it’s just so well blended. It’s Classy. This perfume for me is the best in the far away collection, followed by Beyond, Beyond the moon, The Original Far Away and lastly Infinity. All the other flankers don’t do it for my nose, Royale is way too sweet, cloying and not a nice vanilla. Splendours is blended so well, I always get a compliment when I wear this. Definitely a room-filler. It’s giving “not trying too much” “old money” vibes. It’s oriental but not harsh spicy, it’s powdery and somewhat creamy. I absolutely love this. I always have a backup. I have a few fragrances in my wardrobe but I always finish a bottle of this every two months since it’s release. I love this one. It smells like nothing I know and it smells like a designer (in fact private line of a luxury designer) Creativity: 10/10 Scent profile: 10/10 Complement factor: 10/10

First sniff...OMG, the smell of gasoline almost burned my nostrils :O For a moment, I thought that I had a bad batch or an old bottle, but the production date was May 2023. After reading the notes again, I remembered that its main note was oud, so I patiently waited for about 15 minutes until the flowery and fruity notes took over. I will still have to wait a few hours until I can make up my mind about longevity, but so far, it is a nice fragrance. All Far Away frags are good, with Beyond and Glamour fighting for the top spot ;) Update June 30: Second time around, a few stronger spritzes on top of the matching body lotion and voila...no more gasoline smell for me. Now it's a true flower bomb. Elegant, classy, with subtle woody (not oud) undertones. No plum for me yet, after 20 minutes. I recently added Far Away Royale to my collection, and that one is great for those who love very sweet scents. Royale has amazing longevity on my skin (more than 12 hours).

One of my favorites from Avon! All the notes blend beautifully and this perfume is a big compliment getter....the white oud is perfection in this it’s not too much or too little. Now gardenia is a scent I don’t care for BUT in this it’s quite nice. On me sillage and longevity are moderate,I don’t have to reapply unless I want to,it’s long lasting. Another plus is this one in my opinion is wearable year round...just in the warmer month apply lightly. This is one perfume I can’t get enough of it smells amazing♥️

The long lasting creamy oud with a sweet plum is the summary of this fragrance. It is very characteristic that I have not found a similar one to it. When the white oud scent makes it perfect for a cold weather, gardenia and plum create an all-year-round impact. If you are into the Far Away flankers, it is a close example to the Beyond and the Glamour. I hope it helps you to get an idea of this flanker. I really enjoy this rich Middle Eastern fragrance in a good price.

One of my absolute favorite perfumes. It’s so unique and distinctive that it’s hard to put into words. Creamy, warm, and slightly sultry white florals blend beautifully with spicy plum and elegant oud. It’s a masterpiece. That said, it’s definitely polarizing. While I’ve received some lovely compliments while wearing it, I’ve also had friends practically beg me not to wear it around them. So it’s definitely not a crowd-pleaser.

Smells exactly like Paco Rabanne Olympea just cheaper, silage and longevity very good. Absolute smash for the money! 🤑

Wow - just when I'd given up on Avon & thought all it's 'Far Away' we're insipid and boring! This is just fab! Blown away, it certainly does have an Middle Eastern twang, and the projection and sillage to match. It's lacking that 'same sameness' though that alot of Middle Eastern particularly the Lataffas I've tried, dry down to. This is quite exciting. Definately worth a blind buy, definately will get noticed. It's not pretty, prissy, or demure, it's seductive sexy and confident. This honestly could be a premium designer perfume in my humble opinion!

This is like a better Far Away perfume (the original one) without the sweat smell. In the air it smells beautiful, mature and feminine. On the skin the orange scent striked me in the face it was too bitter and I did not like it on my skin. But i like the oud smell and I am not a big fan of citrus scents. I think this is perfume that would be better on women over 35 or women who like to wear mature perfumes. It is a beautiful perfume indeed but nothing special, and kind of nostalgic. It kind of smells like a cool aunt; soft, safe and mature.

Soft, resinous, oriental, woody with very subtle spices. There's no resemblance to the original Far Away. This is far more refined, with fruity gardenia hiding under a layer of white oud. Upon dry-down, the white oud becomes smoky, like incense, which is appealing, addictive and soft. Far Away Splendoria settles into a very subtle, warm, softly spicy cocktail. The fruits have largely faded. This scent is intriguing. I bought the entire set, and will enjoy getting to know it.

Slightly smoky woody white floral, with a dash of plum. The white oud here just adds a little touch of smoky woodiness, not unbearable at all. The gardenia makes this a little bit like a smokier Far Away Infinity. I realise I keep referring to "smokiness" but trust me it's not strong or overbearing at all. And no, it's nothing like the original Far Away. I had a sample. I'd probably buy full size, as it's pleasant enough.

Just had a little tester, it is very like Olympia at the opening but then becomes more Woody I would say almost like a male aftershave, there’s a note that does remind me of one of my partners fragrance. I do like it but prob wouldnt get through a full bottle Update: something in middle part reminds me of occitane neroli orchidee which is no bad thing, maybe I will add to my wish list for a little bargain

That Oud note is strong in the first spritz. For me smells a bit like leather mixed with incense and remembers me a little bit of Far Away Royale, but in a more pleasant way (thank God, because I don't like the Royale version at all). After a couple of minutes that oud note fades a bit and you're left with a floral-spicy smell. I wish the oud note lasted a bit more but I like it nonetheless 🙂

I love it. I reminds me of an old perfume i cannot recall now but it also has something modern in it. Not an office perfume, but its a perfume a business dinner, might used for the dates for expensive dinners. Its not a teenage fragrance, it requires to be dress accordingly , black/cherry/derken Green velvets or sateens.

I had a sample, definitely buying this one. I can feel some of the DNA of the original Far Away, but it is pretty different. I’m surprised incense is not listed in the pyramid, I am sensing a lot of it. In a blind test I wouldn’t have guessed it’s Avon, this one can easily pass as a designer perfume.

Such a nice fragrance, for my nose this was totally unlike any of the other Far Away fragrances, very different, but very good. Fruity, creamy and an easy going oud note, one that isn't overly heavy or likely to offend. Sillage and longevity were both good, I really liked the drydown.

This perfume is a powerhouse. If you like strong , oriental scents, this is for you. You wont go unnoticed. It has woody and resin notes, vanilla is there but is a mature vanilla, definitely a perfume for the cold season and mature / elegant people .

What an absolute unit of a fragrance! Strictly evening and night time wear. Pungent. Screams special occasion. Seductive yet classy. Just another confirmation that you can't go wrong with a far away flanker

I own a mini 10mL version of this, and I bought it to see if it works for me. Sadly that oud scent is not my favourite thing ever. Wont be buying it again.

It reminds me of crystal noir due to the clean soapy spicy creamy gardenia, sandalwood with pepper. I get also olympea intense and pure poison vibe as I can feel a resinous ambery vanillic white flowers(jasmine ,gardenia and magnolia) and the plum in poison the og. It's like a more fruity oriental flanker to crystal noir ,the oud is soft and smooth nothing harsh here and in the dry down gives it a more incensy smoky woody musky scent, I get also an earthy resinous smell (amber and vetiver idk). There's this smell of burnt leather in the beginning due to plum and white oud mixing together but soon it disappears at this stage it gives me vibes of sospiro muse . It's balanced not too sweet, not too fruity ,not too soapy and not too oudy ,the notes tones each other and blends together. It can be unisex. The quality is good for the price It's not a dupe for any of the perfumes mentioned in this review but it has hints that reminds me of them. Not for anyone though.

Not usual Far Away scent. It's a little bit specific and individual. Splendoria is not sweet as previous Far Away due to oud. But oud is soft and tender here. Splendoria sometimes is soapy, but keeps a light sweetness. Longevity and sillage is good - from morning till night on the clothes. There is too much plum in the base notes as well as dense and cloying vanilla, not for me. It's a nice scent, but the previous Far Away are definitely better for me.

Have only tried a sample, but again as with alien goddess, with the depth of vanilla in this, on me, didn't work. I didn't get an aquatic note which i am surprised to see listed. I liked their Oud Grandeur quite a bit. But this Far away oud version was powerful on me, but sadly an instant no. Just a thought, looking at the perfumers that I wonder if splendor is made to emulate the depth of Arabic perfumes.

Enjoy it... 😉 PDD Far Way Splendor by Avon 💜 I who am “the crazy Farway” was very curious when I found out that the family was going to increase! I received a flacon from my friend Marcelo and was about to order it when he told me that this beauty would also be released on Brazilian soil! Aiiii my salts! Well then. Let's start with the bottle following the brothers' pattern, in fuchsia tones and with the gold yellow ornament on the neck, I already got the idea of something powerful, different and luxurious. Yes, I found it a peculiar aroma, but very sexy and with a middle eastern perfume vibe. I think the “beauty of the seven veils” would gladly use it! A hot, spicy, slightly sweet exit where I feel an orange, as if we were scraping the skin in harmony with a juicy plum. The floral body has a camphor, mentholated glow from the white Oud, lighter, feminine and luminous. The creaminess of the gardenia and the opulence of the white jasnine flowers together with this camphor and spicy perception brings a deliciously smoky sensation, with a subtlety in order not to weigh the aroma. The resinous cradle of amber and vetiver together with the woods warm majestically, pairing a more mature vanilla that brings a balanced and very tasty sweetness. It's literally a trip to the United Arab Emirates. A mysterious, sensual and exotic aroma that makes us travel and become the sultan's favorite! Projection around two o'clock and fixation after ten. Far from being an obvious perfume, it has everything to become an eternal love affair for those who dare to intensely enjoy this oasis... The opening is strong and expressive, from the beginning you can feel the synthetic, slightly rough and spicy note of oud, but it is a quite friendly, European-style oud. A moment later, gardenia appears, the sharpness of the opening softens and the scent smooths out. However, it remains characteristic due to the mixture of white flowers and slightly dry plum. Then the vanilla comes in and the whole thing gets a lot sweeter. The vanilla stretches a lot, it is dominant, fluffy and slightly resinous, but it is bravely accompanied by the gardenia. It stays like this until the end - white-flowered vanilla. The parameters, as I have already mentioned, are really very solid. The scent is very long-lasting and has a strong scent, which may be migrainegenic. Splendoria seems to be more suitable for more mature women, but I gave it to three women in my family to test and the scent was surprisingly very different. My mother smelled of vomit, my older sister thought it was too grandma-like, but my youngest sister, almost 30 years old, liked it the most, but she likes white flowers and agar notes. Therefore, it may be perceived controversially. It's a good perfume for its price. Apart from the very synthetic oud note, the quality is good, but it's definitely not a scent that everyone will like. 7/10

If you are a fan of Arabic perfumes you will probably like this one. I hated it as soon as I sprayed it on my hand, it stunned my nose, a few minutes later it had transformed into a rather interesting perfume. It is not for a blind buy or for everyone, it is worth trying it first. I put it on one morning and it lasted until the next day. I ended up loving it. It does not smell cheap at all. I smelled Olympea Parfum and It reminds me of this but less intense. Si eres fan de los perfumes árabes probablemente te guste éste. Yo lo odié recién lo rocié en mi mano ,pues me aturdió la nariz, unos minutos después se había transformado en un perfume bastante interesante. No es para una compra a ciegas ni para todos, vale la pena probarlo primero. Me lo puse un día en la mañana y duró hasta el día siguiente. Lo terminé amando. No huele nada barato. Olí Olympea Parfum y me se me hizo muy parecido a éste aunque menos intenso.

Wow, pleasantly surprised. This smells like an expensive oud perfume imported from Saudia Arabia 😍 this really doesn't smell like a cheap perfume, at all. Everyone keeps asking what I'm wearing. Can definitely be a signature scent. Really unique scent I gotta say. Suitable for every weather and occasion. It's so well blended that it's not in your face, so it definitely works for office too. So nice to have a fragrance not everyone has or knows of. I live in Sweden and we don't have Avon here, I know my home country Czech Republic has it. I ordered from NOTINO, which is based in Czech Republic, great for me who's not visiting czech so often. Overall, I'm pleased. Nice bottle, good price and great longevity and on clothes lasts more than a week, (my jacket and scarf smells after a week).

If you tested it blind, you wouldn't think about Avon for a second. By the way, I know that when it was launched, there was a blind test compared to a designer perfume. In my opinion, it is a very successful perfume, in trend, performing good on all levels. If I start to dissect it according to notes and accords, I would have only one remark to make regarding the pyramid: it does not have oud but amberwood. Like Arabic perfumes or like many brands. In Splendoria it is balanced by gardenia, plum and vanilla so that it does not become "in your face" and does not cause migraines. It has a like from me. 🙂

I’m not sure what happened with my bottle of this but it’s so so weak, my and bf both can’t smell it unless we put our noses up against our skin. I sadly don’t get the plummy sweetness I wanted, it’s mostly a clean gardenia with some vague wordiness in the background, no oud. I’m not sure if it was reformulated and perhaps that’s why my experience is so different to other peoples here? Either way it’s not a keeper, it’s not really anything since it smells so so faint. Imagine an extremely diluted Alien but with gardenia instead of jasmine and that’s what I get.

Surprised by this one was expecting a smooth fruity smell, but I get an almost smoky plum, I find it very reminiscent to the modern formulation of Dior’s Poison. The oud note is also giving me a hint of YSL. Opium. A very unisex fragrance which will pass as an expensive niche fragrance for the modern perfume lover, and if you’re an old school lover of the 80’s powerhouse fragrances you will also be intrigued.

I bought a 10ml from Avon I agree with a comment below: it reminds me very well of Olympeea but a sharp version of it. It is very very strong perfume. I spray it on my hand in the night (~11pm) and it smelled quite strong in the morning(~9AM). This is a good deal and Far Away perfumes never dissapoint. I will definitely buy the big bottle, I like it and I recommend it.

Today I smelled a lovely scent on a girl in a Greek town and I had to ask her what she was wearing. The scent was clean, creamy, vanillic and fluffy. Pleasant and feminine. She showed me a picture of this perfume on her phone.

Perhaps the formulation in Brazil I changes a bit if compared to the versions sold abroad. To me, the pungency of the mix of plum and gardenia resembles the white florals in Alien! It's a purple and sweet scent to me.

I'm really enjoying this. Is it anything groundbreaking? No. Does it have knockout performance? No. Does it provide a lovely, compliment getting fragrance for around £10? Absolutely! And that's why I love it so much.

I haven’t given this enough of a try to warrant a full review, I’ll get round to using it soon. But, there’s something in the opening that reminds me so much of the discontinued Orchid Soleil by Tom Ford.

I might have got a bad batch, but at the risk of sounding rude, this is catastrophic imo. It could be down to the tuberose note combined with dates which turn out to smell like cow poo on my skin.

Smells like Alien & Olympea Solar had a baby...I kinda love it. A clean oud in the background, well blended but quite pungent. A strong scent, longevity was about 6 hours

Probably the cheapest fragrance in my collection but surprise surprise...my most complimented. Its long lasting too. Maybe it just works with my body chemistry.

Soft clean oud, powdery with a little bit of vanilla. Warm, well rounded and welcoming.
