Haiku Reflection

this is such an easy grab. clean, fresh, aquatic, inoffensive. i definitely agree with the hotel spa vibes. ranking the haiku’s i own - 1. OG Haiku 2. Haiku Reflection 3. Haiku Kyoto Flower all three are very clean, spa scents. they may be inexpensive, and i normally wouldn’t support Avon (my mom sold it in the 90’s, OG Haiku was one of my first perfumes in middle school), but this line is honestly just so good if you like freshies. i love fragrances that smell soapy, clean, spa-like, shampoo-y, etc. if you don’t - this line isn’t for you. longevity is decent, but, like most fragrances, lasts much longer when you spray on clothes. i spray on both my clothes and skin because i love how it mixes with my chemistry and dries down. this is a great value as well - i got it for 15 on eBay, and it’s definitely something i will use regularly and buy again once it’s used up. great for warm weather, but IMO you can get away with freshies year-round; where gourmands get too cloying for many in the heat, who doesn’t like smelling like a fresh shower? blind buy safe for clean scent lovers, especially considering the price.

I live in a hot and humid country and I gravitate towards this so much when I tested it at the Avon showroom -- I smelled it and instantly decided I would buy it. It is less than 10USD! It is the exact kind of beautiful aquatic I was looking for, now I can grab it so easily and so cheap! I work in a closed room setting as well, so I don't have to fear that this will be bad or offensive either. This will be my daily easy grab from now on, and I don't even feel guilty because of its great price. Of the 3 Haikus available (original and Kyoto flowers), this is great for your daily occasion, and if you feel a little stuffy, this is fresh, easy, but still feminine and clean.

mm ahh fancy hotel spa! how lovely. i broke my ankle/foot jumping off my roof the other day (long stupid story) and spent easter weekend in a hospital bed marinating in my own painkiller sweat and external catheter urine and now am back home in dirty clothes with no way to shower and am bedbound and i was able to bring this package to bed with me and i could like. cry. because it actually smells so nice and CLEAN and it is giving me something pleasant to experience while my crunchy little foot bones scream at me 24/7. will have to do further testing in more normal conditions but thank god for this one, man. wow

This is WONDERFUL. Since the mid-90s I have been looking for a perfume that smells like the discontinued line from Victoria's Secret called Moonlight Magic. Not the one by BBW. It had a lotion, gel, shower, and a wonderful long-lasting mist. It was a top seller for a long time at VS and then it was gone forever. I have periodically inquired with VS as to when they may bring it back bc it was SO perfect and none of the agents I talk to seem to even be old enough to remember it. This is the CLOSEST thing to Moonlight MAgic. Definitely buying backups. The longevity is great for an Avon perfume.

I'm a gourmand girl through and through, but when spring comes, I have a harder time stomaching stronger scents. This was a real cheapie, and I'm so glad I took a chance on it! It's a fresh, powdery aquatic with lots of airy freesia. I am finding lately that almost any perfume with freesia featured prominently is a win for me. It's nothing like Cool Water; that scent is great but it's a bit more "screechy" with a prominent synthetic melon note. Haiku Reflection is soft yet powdery. One of a kind in my collection. Of all the perfumes I own I've reached for this two out of the past 3 days.

I don't even know how to describe how incredible this is. So clean with a sweetness that doesn't smell like candy. I have worn the original Haiku for so many years, it was always my favorite perfume because it worked with so many other scents and was easy to wear. When this came out the OG was knocked to number 2 because this is perfection. The bottle perfectly represents what this smells like. Also Avon always has 2 for $25 sales on fragrance. If you like clean, fresh, just back from a relaxing spa day laying in the sun by the pool snacking on fruit you will love this!

A classic and a must have in my line up. Fresh, clean, but fruity with a slight musk. Love the aquatic vibes. Gives me fresh out of the shower and ready for work or to go out. Best Haiku perfume out of the collection. Last super long, and will get you noticed and compliments. And you can usually get it on sale for cheap. A staple in inexpensive perfumes that can pass for a fashion house perfume. If you like Versace bright crystal, you may like this. I used to wear it out dancing too, when I needed something affordable but long lasting and fresh.

Smelled this at an Avon display. I love it. Plan on purchasing soon , for spring. This is a aquatic watery floral scent ,which I enjoy. I reminds me a lot of aquatic florals that were popular in the 90s ( that I miss now). Similar to scents like BBW Freesia, Calgon Morning glory, BBW Seaspray Classic, and Jo Malone Pear and freesia.. I pick up a lot on the freesia flower and , citrus, aqua type scent. Well blended and great lasting power. very clean fresh smell. Great job Avon.

This is seriously my favorite of the whole haiku collection. It is so fresh and something I would wear all day every day. This is great for all seasons and I can be pretty sensitive to fragrances. I can 100% so with complete certainty that this perfume will never ever give me a headache. And that says a lot. I can get a headache from just about any fragrance if I wear it on a bad day. However, this perfume doesn’t do that. I LOVE IT !!!!!!

This was my first perfume. I started wearing this when I was in high school. I haven’t worn it in years and decided today was the day I would throw it on again. Honestly I had forgotten how much I love this perfume. It’s a clean scent and not overly strong. It’s mild enough you can smell it throughout the day but not so strong you get a headache. Definitely will be added into my rotation again this spring/summer.

Eternity aqua, light blue, l’eau d’issey....those beautiful aquatics add this to that list! It is so fresh and clean. If you enjoy blue perfumes you’ll love this. Easy to wear and isn’t overbearing. If you can find it now for a good price buy it!!! Then let me know lol I would love to get one of these again!!!

This brings me feelings of summer! Water, rain, ocean, and warmth. The freesia is blended with the watery/aquatic notes so well. BTW, I usually do not enjoy freesia as it is just too strong or something but it works here. I sprayed this last night and I can still smell this today!!!! I'm loving this!

This was a blind buy because I loved Haiku Kyoto Flower and I actually love this scent way more! I sprayed a tiny bit on the top of my hand to test it and I can still smell it after my shower. Very floral and woody. It’s a beautiful scent. I’m definitely hooked and will be repurchasing this!

Okay so I got this today from my Avon Gal! I wills at that I love Kyoto flower-smells so much like Dior Addict 2(personal favourite) so wAs excited to try this....and I’m so glad I got it!!! I find this very aquatic/fresh almost reminds me of Eternity Aqua from CK. Omg this is lovely!!!

This $15 bottle of perfume is literally my favorite scent right now. It's so light and mouth watering fresh. I spray it all over me and my pillows before going to bed. I fall asleep feeling and smelling like a princess. Will buy again and again.

This perfume smells like if the WindowsXP screen smelled like something. I get major frutiger aero, bubbles, clean pool vibes from this scent. Love it!

Smells straight fresh. Perfect for layering, I love to do it over fruity/tropical scents for a complex scent profile. Perfect for fresh, light wear.

This is my new favorite perfume. It is an amazing dupe for Light Blue. It lasts forever on me and makes me feel so clean.

Haiku Reflection is not at all like the original Haiku except that is has the “Avon” undercurrent that I pink up in all Avon perfumes and that is just an olfactory observation and not a criticism because I like some Avon perfumes, including the original Haiku, Haiku Reflection, and Haiku Sacred. Firstly, I love the name “Haiku” and and I also like the Japanese styled packaging in the original and all flankers. It would be prettier if the lids were metallic instead of plastic, but at the price point, I consider it a creative bottle and lid. As far as scent, Haiku reflection is an aquatic dream. Very clean water notes and way more feminine than the 90s classic “Cool Water.” Haiku Reflection is in the same family as Cool Water but is less sharp, more feminine,!and has a touch of powder. It is more wearable in my opinion and does not scream, “Hey I was a teenager in the 90s and wanted to let you know I just took a shower!” Haha, but jokes aside. The original Haiku is a lily of the valley scent with citrus and something that reminds me of clover. Imagine someone practicing Zen not in Japan but in the greenest dewy and mossy Ireland scenery. The original Haiku is what I would describe as an earthy mossy green lily of the valley. I get none of those images with Haiku Refection. I imagine a serene blue lagoon and you can see your reflection in the pool. It is aquatic, a little salty and musky. I wish they still made the matching lotion. The good news is that it smells good with the Ultra Healing Jergen’s lotion or Suave Cherry Blossom lotion, which I always have on hand. Haiku reflection is a great chill out subtle musk. Totally inoffensive. If you want to be a sex kitten, look elsewhere. This is something to splash on after a shower and I MUST have this in the southern summer heat. But I do wear it in winter too. Office? Yes. Church? Yes. Cuddle time? Yes. Work out? Yes. Read a book? Yes. All seasons? Yes.

The most popular descriptors people are using to describe Haiku Reflections is clean and fresh, and I agree. This is the scent of fresh laundry—walking right out of a shower with a clean towel wrapped around your body in spa-like environment. Before reading the reviews I was also thinking soap, but clean seems more accurate. Freesia is also unmistakable and it’s a floral note I often struggle with—along with amberwood which is also used in the base—but somehow both work in this composition. I suspect the ladder is mixed with a light touch. I understand the Cool Water comparison as I emptied a bottle of that back in the mid 1990s: both are synthetic aquatic scents (not a negative in my perfume playbook). I wore Cool Water on my first trip to Hawaii, so floral aquatics always make me think of warm weather. I personally would not wear HR in the winter. But one thing stands apart between HR and others voted similar—and that is the ridiculously low price going for a bottle of Haiku Reflections; for under $20 you can smell like a fancy resort.

Got this because I tried the other two Haiku. To me, this is the best one of the three: IF you could smell it! This sits very close to your skin with little projection. This is also after using the matching shower gel and lotion. I smell no magnolia or freesia. I do get a slight woody tone, that must be the amber wood. The water accord is what is most noticeable. I wouldn't say it smells like Davidoff's Cool Water, but is something similar. Not a bad scent. Would be a great scent. Problem is, you can barely tell you are wearing it. Couldn't log on to my old account of Queenie Jo, so here is my new one. Missed getting on here and reading the reviews.

I could imagine myself as a child smelling this on my youngest most beloved teacher or an older sister going to homecoming. My least favorite of the Avon Haiku series I’ve tried, too fruity and sweet, but it does have that Avon Haiku laundry musk base I like. EDIT 2/22/24: Maybe my favorite of the Avon Haiku series. Idk if I've grown to love it or if the chemical structure has changed over 2 months but it smells less sweet to me now: the fruitiness isn't so apparent and the laundry muskiness and the aquatic notes are what I really notice. Still a lovely scent for a teacher but I'm taking it off the homecoming idea.

I have enjoyed the original Haiku so much over the years but I am going through my unisex, clean, soapy phase now that Texas is 110 degrees. This is a very pretty fragrance that I would imagine would be very inoffensive in even a close setting. Perfect for the office or a blazingly hot summer day. I have and love love Cool Water but they are pretty different to me. CW is stronger and has more personality - more aquatic for sure. But they are both beautiful and I would keep both in my collection, along with Perry Ellis Reserve, Alfred Sung Shi, and a few others.

Very calming and pleasant, I feel instantly relaxed when I put this on. Avon's done a great job with all of the Haiku flankers. This does remind me of other watery fragrances that I enjoy such as Cool Water and Ocean Dream, but this is just a bit more fruity than those are with the pear and apricot present, without being overpowering. It lasts a few hours after application and projection is light to moderate. If you like perfumes with a watery accord, this one is a good blind buy and reasonably priced.

I love this more than I thought I would! Like a very, very toned down Davidoff Cool Water. Light, but not as light as something like Green Tea - the heavy floral/magnolia notes still pull through. Very 2003/Frutiger Aero to me, though it could be a little more metallic-y or plastic-y to me to better fit that category. Fresh and fun and so slightly sweet! This was a sample but I might buy the full thing after this! Very Spring and Summer, though I could see it best pulled off on a warm, humid night.

Beautiful scent, my second favorite out of the Haiku line. Very fresh and pretty. Fresh laundry, flowers and fruits. A juicy aquatic to my nose and quite powdery. I love powdery scents. Very light weight, yet long lasting. It would be THE scent you want in 100 degrees plus weather. This strangely smells vintage-y as well to me. I Love it.

Simple, clean, and effortless. Not in your face, but discreet and pleasant...yet surprisingly lasts for hours on clothes. Great for when you want to smell nice but you're in a bit of a low-key mood.

I sprayed this on a tissue and noticed it has a comforting aquatic and sweet smell. I'll try it on my skin later. Edit: This will be a decoration piece.

Avon Haiku Reflection is a fruity/floral aquatic scent that leans juuuuuust a touch too aquatic for my taste -- smells a little too aggressively "fresh," like bathroom cleanser, especially in the opening. As it dries down, though, thankfully the cleanser aspect largely goes away. At this point, it reminds me quite a bit of another floral aquatic perfume I have, Iceberg Twice, that also has freesia as its central note. But I prefer Iceberg Twice to Haiku Reflection because it's slightly less fruity-sweet, it's a bit more floral and powdery (which I enjoy), as well as is a little stronger, with surprisingly good longevity. So, I will be decluttering it.

I’m surprised nobody else has picked up a strong mineralic note in this. Smells incredibly oceanic and salty, a near-exact scent profile to SKYLAR’s Salt Air. Slightly powdery at the finish. Not my thing, but it is a well formulated airy and bright scent. Just like the entire Haiku line (minus the intense versions... eugh.), it’s entirely fresh and inoffensive.

I think I like it? I’m not totally sure I can actually smell it. I love the og Haiku and all the flankers (except Sacred Intense) but this one is a little too easy breezy lol

Nooooo. Just No. I’m surprised by the love for this. Sorry but this is air freshener to me! And it’s not air freshener that evens lasts more than 30 minutes but I won’t be wearing it anyway. This could be perfume in a toy store made for little girls.

This is exactly like if White Shoulders and a 2000s aquatic perfume had a baby. Very "hairspray"-esque, a bit of powder, and a lot of aquatic. I love refreshing fragrances, but the "hairspray"/White Shoulders-like notes kill it for me.

I was really excited for this perfume because the reviews said it was clean, shampoo-y, like a spa. A clean freshie that was a general crowd-pleaser. So you know that when it came in the mail and was the exact opposite of every review here I almost felt like I had to reevaluate if I could even say I liked perfumes at all. First off, this is not fresh. This is not a crowd-pleaser. This is not exactly grandma, but I'd get incredibly nauseous smelling this on anyone. Very strong, long-lasting. This is not soap, this is like a terrible memory of everything someone might dislike from versace bright crystal. A visage of davidoff cool water if you got rid of the spice from the musk and currant. This is not Light Blue. I didn't smell anything but the water notes, maybe magnolia if you tried hard to find it. No fruit, no dimensions... The closest I can think is an expired bottle of paris hilton's edp, or davidoff if you got rid of anything interesting about it. TLDR; I am unsure if my bottle was rank or if some people's definition of 'clean' is dousing yourself with an unlabeled chemical spray from a defunct aerosol factory.

This is a very soft, sweet, just out of the shower - fresh type powder scent. There are definitely times and places where this would be great. I loved the smell of this - but have not yet purchased it. I tried it when I was at a street fair in my area - supporting my friend that sells Avon. I really liked this fragrance. It is very fresh and clean - and would be appropriate at work, school, and would wear well around younger kids. It has a slight ocean smell to it, but it is a clean and clear watery smell... not like the oceanic fragrances that knock you over the head and drag you back to the cave. This is a soft beckoning. LIke motioning for someone to "come here" with your finger and a whisper... rather than yelling and shouting it out. This fragrance is alluring - and welcoming. It is blue... blue-smelling. They nailed the whole marketing of this product.

I used to wear the original Haiku back in the day, and so i've always been interested in all or any of the flankers that came along with it including this one. Haiku Reflection is just ok for me, It's not in any way bad but it's in no way the best either. It's light and fresh with a nice floral clean vibe, but that's pretty much all it is. Now don't get me wrong, I love clean scents but I believe that this smells like a cross between Versace Bright Crystal and Versace Yellow Diamond. I love Yellow Diamond, It's the epitome of fresh and floral but, it's much stronger with more lasting power compared to Haiku Reflection. I could see anyone wearing this if they just want a fresh pick me up, I would classify this as unisex too.

Reflection lives up to its promise: it's calm, quiet, relaxing. Although water is listed as a note, Reflection does not have the calone screech of most aquatic scents. I dislike straight up aquatics, but this is NOT one. The faint green bitterness of nasturtium makes this a little different. Mostly it's a clean pear and magnolia scent that dries down to a fresh musk with a slight creaminess, maybe from the amberwood (though I have no clue what amberwood smells like). Great for after a shower or any time. If you over spray it gets a bit chemically fresh, so don't (unless that's your thing). All the Haiku line have been enjoyable scents. This series of scents works on me. Strong like, maybe a love.

This smells like something that would be used to scent a 5-start hotel, and I mean that in the best way possible. I don't gravitate toward clean smells or freshies, I'm more of an oriental and gourmand girl myself, but something about Haiku Reflection draws me in. It's straight up impressive. It lacks the artificial quality that I associate with aquatic or ozonic perfumes but it certainly falls into that category. Overall, a lovely and inoffensive "zen" fragrance that does freesia justice, plus the bottle is beyond aesthetically pleasing.

I am a humble man who is in love with a woman that owns the Haiku, Kyoto Flower and Reflection. Reflection is my favorite. Subtle, fresh, pleasant. I hope you don't mind me sharing a Haiku about Haiku Reflection: She's fresh, exciting She's so exciting to me Kool and the Gang song 😊

This is not air freshener as some say. I can see many people liking it. I don't like the woody base. It's soft but I don't care for woods and that's an unusual one. If you like this, you may like Masaki Shiro. Less woody but reminds me of this.Also you might like Ralph Fresh.

This one's a winner for Avon. Men and women ask for the name of this perfume every time I wear it. It lasts only a couple of hours on me but I don't really mind...I have no problem re-applying!It's a combination of water, flowers and a hint of musk to my nose. Love it.

Initially, strongly reminiscent of Cool Water. But as it dries down I'm reminded of Versace Bright Crystal. (the pink one). Personally, I prefer the original, but this is an inexpensive refreshing little number to add to your collection.

I find this very similar to L'eau par Kenzo, Ralph Fresh, Matsumo Shiro, etc, some individual notes may be different, but it's got the same feel. The color bars above do not show the woody notes that are in the base, but they're there.

More fresh and less floral than the original. It also lacks the longevity of the original. That said, it's a good option if you like freshies. Fits well with Aqua di Gioias and Light Blues.
