Haiku Sacred Intense

Soft for being labeled “intense.” I love green scents but was intrigued by the name “sacred.” This is not incense. But it has a little mystery to it. It is along the lines of a linear clean musk. I like it and will repurchase. Even though this is from 2021, it has an old school vibe without feeling dated. Kind of unique in that it is not a sweet candy bomb. Edit: I also own “Still” by J Lo. I figured out if I put on the Haiku cream, them spray on “Still” perfume, then get dressed and spritz my hair and clothes with Haiku sacred, it is REALLY good like smelling and open sachet of Bigelow brand Earl Grey Tea. But clean. I love Haiku sacred so much I splurged need got the body wash and cream. I do NOT want to be without this. If you like “Still,” Haiku sacred goes PERFECT with it! It also goes great with a bath and body works grapefruit scent called “Grapefruit frosé.” Summer 2023 Edit: roses symbolize the Virgin Mary, Theotokos, mother of God so I decided I wanted to smell like roses to think of her so I have purchased some inexpensive Yardley English Rose Soap, lotion, and powder. I realize the Haiku Sacred has a very similar rose vibe to The Yardley English rose so the “Sacred” flanker is rose themed which fits my spiritual purposes perfectly! It is becoming more in line with a “sacred” theme!

i will preface this by saying that i love the Haiku line. i've always had a bottle of the original in my arsenal since i was in middle school, back in the 2010s. my mom worked for Avon and bought the original Haiku for me and i've just loved the oriental freshness of it ever since. so i went out on a mission to obtain the rest of the line this past year. this one maintains the freshness that is a signature of the entirety of the line. however, this one is the most different of all of them (that i've been able to get my hands on). it's very citrusy and has an elegant, green rose scent. what makes this one lean nearly unisex to me is the combination of the citrus and driftwood. i'm a firm believer than anyone can pull off any scent if it blends well with their chemistry and they enjoy smelling it. but by stereotypical standards, this does lean more unisex. not an entirely linear scent, as citrus fades over the whole wear - which is not super long, which would be somewhat implied by the addition of the word 'intense;' however, there was not an original Haiku Sacred anyways, which is interesting to me. probably my least favorite of the bunch, but i think it's unique and i'm not mad at it, especially for the price. not as easy of a reach as the rest of the line, but certainly clean like the rest of them.

This flanker is interesting, in that there is no Haiku Sacred OG to start with. This is almost Reflections and Sunset put together and cranked to about an 8. I'm surprised others have said this isn't very strong on them. I think I just naturally strengthen citrus scents, (See my J-Lo Glow review) because this one's plenty intense on me. Not unpleasantly so, though. There's definitely some white florals balancing it out, so it's not overpoweringly citrus. She makes for a great cool afternoon scent and a good citrus layer! She does come across a little pine-y if you overspray her, and don't mix it with the Kyoto Flowers Intense for this reason either, so keep those in mind. She mixes fantastically with Charlie Blue though. For an under $25 scent you could certainly do worse! I'm glad I tried this one out. 😊

Very unusual fragrance but in a good way. For being labeled intense, I expected this to last longer but the scent is lovely and feminine. I definitely get the citrus and rose along with some airy freshness from the original Haiku. This layers beautifully with mists from Bath and Body Works-Forever Sunshine and Covered In Roses.

This is a cool, aquatic, transparent rose scent. Much lighter than the word “intense” implies. I’m not a fan of the citrus top notes but once those burn off this is a great wearable unisex summer rose. It’s not quite my vibe but I can respect it.

I got this as a gift last May for my birthday bc I love Haiku the OG, Reflection & Kyoto Flower. I think this is okay, it is my least worn of all my perfumes. To me it smells like a deep citrus with light floral but like dark floral is the only way to describe it. As if you have the remnants of powders from rose petals on your hand as your eating a clementine. Love to layer this with light sweet scents to create something unique which is honestly the only time I wear this one. I never tried the original sacred but for something labeled intense it lasts maybe an hour or so on my skin. Great for layering but not alone for me.

Clean citrusy scent... functions more like a body spray than a perfume as far as I am concerned especially for something labled Intense... having said that, this would be very office appropriate as it is not overpowering or opinion spliting in any way .. it just smells clean...

I was gifted the Bond No 9 Collection this past Christmas, so I have been able to try tons of Bond scents. I love unisex smells. To me, this version of Haiku smells very Bond. If someone sprayed this on me and I had no idea what it was, I would believe this to be Bond, I think. It has the same kind of DNA. They are worlds apart in cost, of course. But there is something very much the same. Fresh in almost a biting way. Fruity but not sweet at all. It's very different but I do like it.
