Honey Blossom

I grew up next to a giant honeysuckle vine, and am a real sucker for honeysuckle-base perfumes. Avon has been plugging this new scent for some time now and Flourish Honey Blossom didn't disappoint! After a moment of letting it breathe on my skin I took a deep whiff and was transported to rolling spring fields bordered by fruit trees in full flower. It has the complexity to evoke a compelling full portrait of nature in bloom, without cloying sweetness or walloping you over the head with disembodied flowers. How serendipitous to introduce this scent during a California "superbloom" year! Note that immediately out of the bottle it had a harsh alcohol sting, but this transforms once on the skin. Just like in gardening, patience reveals wonders. Disclaimer: I'm an Avon Independent Representative! But that doesn't mean I would endorse something I don't love. All opinions are Real.

This has become my new signature fragrance. Its like having tea in a garden during a bright, sunny morning with clear blue skies. The sweetness its delicate and not cloying. I feel like I can spray freely without overdoing it. This is one of the most femenine fragrances I've tried in a while. Its soft and modest without going unnoticed. And leaves a beautiful trail behind. My cheers to Gabriela Chelariu for creating such a beautiful fragrance. My mother loves Velvet and now she gives us Honey Blossom. I can't wait to see what she does next.

When my oldest son was in kindergarten (in 2000...yikes), I had an Avon body spray that was called Honeysuckle something...I was a room Mom and memories of his kindergarten always come to me on the scent memory of this honeysuckle spray. It was honeysuckle but I think it had a bit of honey as well. (It smelled a lot like Kama Sutra Honey Dust). When I saw an ad. for Flourish Honey Blossom, I was immediately curious, because I hoped it would be along the lines of that old body spray. I don't have an Avon rep, and I probably haven't purchased anything from Avon since 2000...but I was able to order this on Avon's website, and it was only $15.00. I figured for that price I could always use it as room spray if I didn't like wearing it. To end the suspense...this is nothing like the honeysuckle spray of my memories. However, I like it quite a bit, and I will definitely wear it often. It smells a lot like honeysuckle, with slight hints of a vintage honeysuckle-type feel. It is a very "current" blend, though, because it's careful not to have any depth in the drydown. It stays light as air, and it has no development beyond the initial application. I find the lasting power to be very good. It's not a strong fragrance to begin with, but it definitely stays put (albeit close to skin) throughout the day. Lasting power is stronger on clothing, of course. The bottle itself is heavy, beautifully designed, and expensive-feeling. It's been far too long since I've explored Avon fragrances, and I am now inspired to revisit this prolific line.

11/21/19 • Not an Avon rep • World-Renowned Perfumer and creator Gabriela Chelariu wants you to experience the "first rays of sun in early spring touching your skin... to capture the essence of pure happiness and comfort" - the first sweet, bright floral blooms of spring. With the following notes, she nails it: Opening/top note: sparkling apple blossom Heart/middle note: honeysuckle nectar Base: vanilla orchid I'm also getting a clean white ozone-like musk note. Like when you go outside right after the rain or snowfall and you come back inside with your hair smelling so fresh. Sadly, as with most Avon scents, the scent is short-lived. No longevity whatsoever except the remnants of that white musk-floral (I guess orchid note) note. I'm talking about an hour, then... poof - like when the clock struck midnight for you-know-who... the magic is gone. It's so amazing though that I suggest you buy two: one for your home stash and one to tuck inside your purse or car to reapply every now and then. Safe for any situation. Perfect if you're looking for an innocent perfume to give to a young lady or to those who like linear, creamy-clean floral scents. A must have if you're into super feminine scents and love the smell of fresh flowers dancing in the sunny breeze.

I am an Avon rep. I received this bottle with the signup package (which I did pay for). I actually like it. I don't love it. This is best suited for a warm, sunny spring or summer dress. I think of floating dresses and sunhats and enjoying the smells of the garden gently wafting in the breeze. This isn't my favorite by any means and I don't think it's one I will reach for too often as there are perfumes I just happen to like more unless this one happens to grow on me the more I wear it. This is more generic and pleasant, not offensive. I probably wouldn't wear this in the office as I think it could be cloying if oversprayed....and you kind of have to overspray in order to smell it. But it's a nice fragrance in the open air. I do like the apple blossoms and honeysuckle. The honeysuckle is just sweet enough to be able to tell it is honeysuckle, but not overly sweet to drown you. It doesn't smell niche or expensive. It does smell synthetic, but it is at a great price and like I said, the scent is pleasant.

Imagine being caressed by a light breeze while walking through an apple orchard in full bloom ... Avon has captured and bottled that experience in this new scent! Though quite present in the brochure sample circle, honeysuckle does not exist in the spray. Surprising, yes, but not disappointing; I rather enjoy the linear aspect of this particular perfume. I let my clothes catch any overspray while applying to wrists and inner elbow and get 10+ hours of apple blossom bliss. Wispy in a completely wonderful way, I'll wear it with a smile this Spring!

At first I thought this would be a typical shampoo scent but the honey deepens it a lot. So think honeysuckle, but stronger on the honey. The apple blossom comes through and makes this light and happy. Pretty and well balanced, but not knock-your-socks-off amazing. A good spring fragrance.

I used to be obsessed with honeysuckle scented fragrances way back when I was in the flush of youth (LOL), but now I'm not fond of it anymore, as evidenced by my recoiling reaction to this scent. Smells shockingly indolic and synthetic to me.

This was a blind buy and I was disappointed. It doesn't smell like honeysuckle to me. I remember the old Avon honeysuckle perfume from the 1970s. But this one is just vaguely sweet, not much scent to it and very generic.

Although I love white florals, I can't stand strong honeysuckle in a lot of things. I gave it a try anyways. I don't have anything in my small collection that smells like it. On my skin, this smells like floral honey...real honey, yet breezy, and not "sticky". But, there's just something that just isn't "me" about it. The pro is I don't find it cloying, but it's still not my kind of scent. Update: It's been about two months since my initial review, and I'm finding it's not working for me. I ended up parting with this one. Honeysuckle and I just can't be friends.

This is nice. It's not worth having for me. I don't care for the bottle. It's perfect for a daughter or niece that wants to wear perfume and is a bit too young perhaps. If you love it, you will never get a complaint! It's ideal for summer and church. Perfect for bed. It won't choke even and infant. There's a use for this, but there isn't one for me. Definite yes on blind buy. Even if you hate it, you can wear it so as not to hurt there person's feeling that purchased it for you!

I get mostly apple blossom followed by the vanilla Orchid from this. The first time I smelled this it reminded me of Avons long gone Pearls and Lace which I loved but not on me! This is more wearable I feel and a lovely sweet, powdery floral with a little tartness. I don't really get Honeysuckle from here, but some Honeysuckle fragrances just don't reproduce it for me.

Cute , airy & sweet. Reminds me of something from Marc Jacobs. The past few newer Avon scents have impressed me . I'd take this ANY DAY over something at Marshalls or T.J. Maxx for $24.95.

Honestly, this is a pretty good dupe of DKNY Be Delicious. I didn't realize it until today, when I had the chance to wear Be Delicious for the first time in 15+ years.
