Imari Amor

Sour dewy rose yet still powdery goodness in the drydown. Think rose lemonade. Ngl it kinda smells like the top and middle notes of an good perfume but nothing is there to ground it. Romantic but fleeting gone in like 20 minutes. It feels....unfinished? Like a project you rush so that you don't have to spend more time on it. I still kinda like it though. 8/10 EDIT: It's been growing on me even more over time. It's better than my initial impression. And I believe it's matured over time making it a little less sour in the opening and longer lasting. It reminds me of Plato berries too. However, compared to the plethora of great rose perfumes out there it's probably not worth it for most people.

The rose is incredible in this. It's the first and strongest note I pick up. I am not surprised by the base notes, being that they are usually at the base of every scent I love/like.

I wore the original Imari as my signature sent in high school in the 80s. Just for the same of being different. This one struck my curiosity - so I got it. It's light, fresh, fruity, and for some reason works better on me in this scrappy winter weather. Also, it lasts longer on Skin So Soft lotion (the peony and musk one). It's rather similar to Oscar de la Renta's Bella Rosa, but Amor stronger and longer lasting. When the weather is too warm, Amor is too sour on me - but I've been without SSS which I imagine also has an effect on that aspect as I've been using different lotions. I may repurchase, but I have so many perfumes that I may never get to the bottom of this bottle. So, light, fresh, fruity with neroli, mandarin and currant being most prominent on me. Litchi can turn sour on me, with SSS it doesn't. The rose is present, and the patchouli/musk base is low key and holds this together. Perfumes take forever to develop on me if they agree with my chemistry, which is wonderful with this, the top notes stay a long time then play peekaboo. The bad is that I will go 'nose blind' to this while everyone around me can smell and enjoy this. I'll try this again as the weather improves to see if the SSS is what I need even when it's warm to keep the sour away. If you like light, fruity rose scents with a touch of patchouli, try this. This is not a le Vie est belle duplicate, not your typical rose-chouli.

I have and love Imari and most of it's flankers, my favorite being the long-ago Imari Satin. I'm still squeezing the last drops out of that beautiful opaque white bottle. I was thrilled to see this new addition, as US Avon has been leaning toward higher-priced fragrances in recent years. The scent is a slightly sweet floral, nothing too special or unique. The notes blend nicely and nothing screams for attention. I would not necessarily call this an Imari flanker, has it's own identity. Sits close to the skin and about 3 hours longevity. A nice fragrance for the price.

I love the Imari line and had to get this one. On me this is a suprisingly nice green note rose! I do pick up hints of all the notes except mandarin orange. Longevity and sillage are moderate on me. This is wearable year round and makes a nice pick me up in the winter.

A pretty fragrance, too bad it does not last, not like the older Imari fragrances which last all day.. I have noticed most of the perfumes Avon has made in the last few years do not have any staying power :( I keep wasting my money on these new perfumes by Avon only to regret it when they have no staying power.. This smells pretty a floral fragrance, but not anything special..

Very strongly reeks of a urinal cake. Freaking gross. Ugh. Edit: My 17yo daughter also thought it was nasty. Lol

Why did they make this perfume? And why did they lie to us about its notes?

I got some samples of this scent. It is a very fresh, green floral scent. I don't get any pinkness from this. It smells vegetable and dewy. Very musky, with a little bit of jasmine and maybe Lilly of the valley. It reminds me of some kind of lotion. Rose? where is the rose? I can't smell it ... It is nice, casual, nothing impressive. It is pleasant, I can't imagine anyone offended by this scent. However, I don't think I need a full bottle.

AHHH Man!!!! I received a sample. Black Currant, Orris & Musk?? Yes please!!! I spray & omg the Rose is front & center. WHY 2020's, WHY?? EVERY single perfume??? I mean we have all the 2000 perfumes that made us tire of this (unless you are the person that wants Rose in Every. Single. Scent. Imaginable!) Come on now. I would ADORE this if they would have JUST left the Rose out! It's a no Dawg.
