Incandessence Lotus

I worked several years selling high end perfumes and cosmetics and was very surprised to find that Avon's quality is in line with some of the better department store brands. I wish that I had known about Avon sooner because they have some truly GREAT perfumes! I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of Avon's perfumes, they are often a smart buy. My favorites have been Rare Pearls, Rare Gold, Rare Diamonds, Rare Amethyst, Rare Emeralds, Prima (Dreams), Velvet, Imari Elixir, Imari Seduction, and Today. Each of these perfumes wear well and I have received constant compliments when I wear them. I have never been disappointed in Avon's quality. Based on an intuitive hunch and reading several Fragrantica reviews, I decided to try Incandessence Lotus... I'm so glad that I trusted my intuition. This is the first perfume that I have tried that has the note of Quince in it. This perfume is as well blended as a number of much more expensive perfumes -- and is soft, approachable, charming, romantic, and a perfume that could be warn daily to the office, on a date, running errands, etc... Incandessence Lotus is more delicate when first sprayed. It starts less ozonic than some other perfumes (it is a much more elegant than the original perfume, Incandessence by Avon). The essence of this perfume is like a Monet painting. This is a soft focus type essence, there are no discernible notes fighting for attention, you are smelling only the chord, not the individual notes. It is very PRETTY and Romantic on -- Soft focus, no harsh edges. Lady-like. Charming. Definitely worth trying. This is a cut above some of the more cotton candy type perfumes that are often a bit too sweet and gourmand. This is tastefully blended - which makes it appear more expensive and pulled together. This has a beautiful essence about it. So far, so good -- I am really liking this one! This is like a PINK "Rare Pearls"... it smells like a dreamy cloud. "Prima (Dreams)" by Avon is in a similar family, but they share different notes and ingredients. This could also resonate with a Pink "Haiku" - more of a romantic spa-like scent. The musk in this is a softer version of the genre of perfumes like Narcisso Rodrigues For Her, which is a beautiful perfume with graceful musk notes...possibly Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely perfume is in this same genre. Incandessence Lotus is just a bit softer, almost like the younger sister or daughter versions of these perfumes. --------- I have not had time to do an endurance or silage test on this perfume. From what I can tell so far, this wears a bit softer than some of the other Avon perfumes that I listed in my list above, which I have worn for years. Incandessence Lotus is a beautiful perfume. You may need to spritz this more often, the perfume is beautiful on. ------------ Verdict after wearing this a couple of days -- This is really GREAT ON! Wow, have they got a gem with this! I just wish this were slightly bolder - this goes on very soft, it doesn't have the silage that I really like for a perfume, but the general concept of this perfume is really GREAT! ------------ If you like a sunny type lemon based type perfume - try the original Incandessence by Avon. It goes on a bit stronger to start with, but after 15-20 minutes has a nice dry down like a lemon cake. It is pretty yummy! -------------- Incandessence Lotus has been discontinued by Avon - it is harder to find now. I began searching for something similar - and Chanel's Chance Eau Tendre was mentioned as being similar. I've tried these side by side when I first smelled Chance Eau Tendre, it definitely has a similar Quince Fruity Note -- but the two perfumes are different... you really can't compare these two, they will appeal to different people for different reasons -- the same person may not like both perfumes... or then again, who's to say; you need to try these to see what you think. Doing further research - Zara released a perfume that is similar to Chance Eau Tendre - called Applejuice. I have not had a chance to try these side by side, but smelled Applejuice on its own the other day. It is casual, fruity - really nice for days when you want a hint of perfume, but nothing elaborate. There are several reviews on YouTube which compare Apple Juice by Zara with Chanel's Chance Eau Tendre. This gives you another option, just in case you can't find Incandessence Lotus. ------------ Following up: I tried Incandensence Lotus again last night - comparing it with several other perfumes that I really like for the summer. This is a winner with my chemistry, oh my! It stays on, is true to form -- I have even compared this side by side with perfumes like a spritz of Delina De Marly - and this perfume (with my chemistry) really does some magical things. It is hands down a clear winner! ; ) I tried Chanel's Chance Eau Tendre and I really like that perfume too, but these are not as much alike as what some of the "smells like" polls would indicate. If you like one, you may not like the other -- they do not have the same DNA. Channel has a slight stuffiness which some people like, but it doesn't work as well for me as the brighter, more true to form notes. I'm amazed by Incandescence Lotus, I love the new Quince note - and I'm purposely going to seek that out more in new perfumes to try in the future! It is a really great note with my chemistry! Enchanting! Very fresh - and upbeat! A lot of fun! Avon has a winner with this! I love it! ; ) ------------ This is more in line with the Chance line of Channel - it is a little more shy and demure than Iola, which is one that Marshall's carries.

This is very much on a par with Zara's Apple Juice in that they are both very inexpensive and quite successful approximations of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre EDT. Both are also very synthetic smelling and short lived but that is to be expected with such a low price tag. I have a sort of 'collection within a collection' of Eau Tendre 'doppelgangers'. Some, like Daisy, merely recall or evoke Eau Tendre while others are directly inspired by that fragrance. Incandescent Lotus belongs to a third group that represents a more obvious attempt to mimic Eau Tendre without adding anything really distinctive or original. So, yeah, as long as you know what you are getting, this is a good value for the selling point. It smells very nice. However, Spring's Tempting Nashi is my preferred scent from this latter group.. It's somehow a bit richer than both Apple Juice and Incandescent Lotus, has better longevity, and the bottle is nicer too.

This is an absolutely beautiful scent it blew me away actually, this is my kind of perfume, feminine and really well done. This smells 99.9 percent the same as Lanvin eclat de fleurs which I also own and love, however i totally prefer this one, the one percent difference between them actually makes alot of difference to my nose though if that makes sense, I think it is the hint of blackberry in this that really does it for me and it is a tiny bit more musky and not so dewy, other than this small difference they smell pretty much identical - the only issue with this one is that it doesnt last long whatsoever so I've started spraying this on my clothes and layering it with both incandessence lotus body lotion and lanvin eclat de fleurs and bam perfection! Gorgeous scent and smells a hell of alot more expensive, well done Avon this is a total winner

You can read my reviews on the Incandescence perfume line and how I found them totally rude and vulgar (especially the Flame and Glow ones) and how they for me are the worst from Avon. Incandescence Lotus though is truly amazing though - light, bright, uplifting and invigorating. Like a spark or a snowflake. I`m so impressed with this one. It reminds me of my favorite Avon perfume True Glow - it has the same dreamy quality to it except without the lingering melancholy note that True Glow gave me. This is nothing like other Incandescence perfumes, it`s purely charming and dreamy. A must-try. I`m so curious to how other Fragranticers will find this one. For me it`s a true gem. Edit: this is very similar to Lanvin Modern Princess. Modern princess is more sweeter and warmer while this more fresh and sparkly. Both very beautiful.

Bought a bottle for a friend, can confirm it 90% smells like Coco chanel Chance Eau Tendre. So feminine and romantic, doesn't cause a headache. Perfect for spring, projection is quite good. Will definitely buy myself a bottle.

This is your 'lovely', Avon floral-fruity done ok, without the Avon DNA. Although this scent does not suit my taste, I can completely see why someone would consider it pleasant, clean, and even uplifting maybe. A slight, early morning, spring sunshine comes from the quince, and the lotus-musk base is somewhat comforting, even if it becomes a bit generic and slightly soapy on my skin (probably stays pretty on clothing). With moderate sillage and projection, I think you are not robbed at this price point, so if you were looking for a Chanel Chance dupe, even if it is not exactly that (this Avon scent does not have that spiky floral Chance vibe, that irritates me so much) you are at a better price-value place for sure (Chanel Chance is very popular in my area, yet I have never smelled it on anyone - do the math). Altogether, if you like light, generic, pleasant floral-fruity-s, please give it a try, this is a fair one.

A fresh floral and aquatic fragrance, as delicate as a crisp summer morning by the sea. In the base, there are very subtle resinous and woody nuances, yet the composition remains exceptionally light, almost ethereal. The fragrance is much like its flacon, rendered in a muted, delicate pink, with a softly floral character. Longevity and sillage are equally ethereal, making generous application and regular reapplication almost essential. Yet this also makes it exceptionally safe for those around you and suitable for virtually any occasion or time of day. A feminine, light, and classically pleasant everyday fragrance.

I must admit that due to positive reviews I expected a bit more (or different) from this. It is a good perfume, nonetheless. It is everything that was already written by other reviewers - fresh, floral, great for office or leisure. It reminds me of Floralie by Gres (Lotus is more spicy), and maybe a bit of Rumeur 2 Rose by Lanvin (without the sweet citrus note). If you are looking for a perfume with a similar vibe, give it a try, you may like it.

I previously had it in my collection and repurchased it again. The bottle used to be more opaque and now it's clear, I will assume it is reformulated since the longevity is not really there anymore. It's the little more sweeter version of Chance au Tendre and I don't mind it at all. Fresh and lovely, safe for everyday wear and for hot weather.

This is an everyday fragrance. Not sharp, very feminine. For the days when you don't know what to put on:))) it is quince, but for me it has too much powder. It is strange, but in wet weather the powder disappears and quince wins ower. Therefore I only use it in a rainy day and just because it is on my shelve....Nothing special.

It was a blind buy and I don't regret it. Fresh and flowery. Office friendly) To be honest, I don't spray cheap perfumes on skin, only on fabric, this way it is more predictable and lasts longer

Beautiful dupe of Chanel Chance Tendre

I blind-bought this, and when I first sprayed it, I was so disappointed—it was unbearably sweet for me. I think the quince note was the culprit. But after about half an hour, it transformed into a very soft, floral, and powdery scent, and I literally couldn’t stop smelling my wrists! :) I still find the opening too synthetically sweet, but it’s worth the wait. Great value for the price, so I reapply it every couple of hours without thinking twice. You can carry it in your bag on a lovely spring or summer day. However, it’s a bit too soft and innocent for a night out.

The smell of this perfume is just good, but it evaporates in less than one minute. Why it's regarded as edp I don't literally get.

Light, fresh, water fruits and soft lily. Perfect for spring or summer. IMO the only decent scent in the Incandessence range.

I have this perfume and I have the original Incandescence. Lotus opens up with a blast of aldehydic note, then it turns into a soapy, old-fashioned floral synthetic mess. It's barely sensable, does not leave a trail and is not headache inducing. Bought it for 8€ and regret the purchase. It's suitable for the ofice and for daytime/spring-summer wear. I do not like the original Incandescence either, however it lacks this soapiness and slight fruitiness and has more floral qualities. If I have to choose between the two, I will choose the original one, not the flanker (which is almost always the case).

I'm super super impressed with this, such a pretty feminine little scent (i hated the other incandessence it smelt awful) this smells pretty much identical to Lanvin eclat de fleurs (which apparently also smells like chanel chance eau tendre), this is literally identical, the only tiny difference I can make out is that this is a tinier bit muskier whereas eclat de fleurs is more sort of gently watery that's the only way I can explain it, it isn't quite in the ozonic category but has a watery juicy type vibe. Overall this is an absolute winner for me, I love dainty floral scents like this and it smells so pretty, I mainly make out the peony and BlackBerry but it's so well blended that it just melds into one really gorgeous scent with all the other notes. It doesn't last long unfortunately but then most delicate scents like this don't. This is definately not unisex, I'm guessing this is a mistake, it is girly, whimsical and feminine, nothing masculine about it X

This IS a surprise from Avon! Lotus is beautiful, light and feminine. I can't see why is listed as for Male and Female, as it is most definitely a ladies fragrance I'm suprised with this scent because it's from the Incandesence line, and smells nothing like the original Incandesence. I have the original and the Flame version, and this Lotus bears no relation to them. Lotus is lovely and delicate. It reminds of Perceive Oasis which is a lovely dewy peony fragrance. Also to me it's a much softer version of the discontinued Celebre. I sprayed Lotus on top of the body lotion which makes the fragrance last longer. The notes are very well blended as no particular note screams at you. Think of a light, pale pink petal. It is not an aquatic fragrance, and the drydown is powdery and lovely. It is a safe blind buy, if you do not like the Avon screechers scents. I will be stocking up on Lotus before it disappears.

An uplifting, bright, light and invigorating scent that feels like a spark to life. This fragrance is quite impressive and possess dreamy quality. The charm and dreamy feel of this makes it worth a buy and a serious gem. I found this quite similar to Lanvin Moderna princess but the sweetness and warmth in this one is quite better balanced. This one is good value for money in real but does smell way more expensive and is a gorgeous scent without any doubt. There is floral feel and freshness in this making it much office friendly. Suits more for the summer and spring season while could also be worn in other seasons. I love wearing it anywhere and every where but mostly prefer laying it up with others.

Actually it's not bad, but also not the perfume of my life to be honest. I was looking for a "lockdown" perfume, I needed something to spray on me while I'm sitting at home. I didn't want anything too pricy, so I thought okay, let's give it a chance. I bought it for around 7-8 dollars. It has a very pleasant floral scent, but at the very beginning, the alcoholic aroma is just too much, but when it's gone, it became very girly and nice. The longevity is quite weak compared to my other, more "serious" perfumes but hey... I'm sitting at home, so I can re-spray it.
