Iris Fetiche

An exquisit iris scent that could easily be from a prestige brand. It is a quality, realistic iris with a somewhat green and sharp edge around it - there is a resemblance to Infusion d’Iris. However, it is not quite that far out there in green note territory, imagine that you’d layer with a bit of LVEB Iris Absolu. Like 70:30 in proportion? If you can find this and love iris, I would absolutely say that a blind buy is safe. To me, this is the Iris perfume I crave for a hike in early autumn in a beautiful landscape, when the air is crisp. Infusion d’Iris is for any occasion when I want to feel super sharp (like in a work context), and LVEB Iris Absolu is the full bodied evening scent I would choose for an evening occasion or for feeling gorgeous. Then, considering the price, this is a steal.

I decided to buy one these Avon Artistique perfumes blind, and chose Iris Fetiche. I don't regret. The first spray and I knew I made good choice. Iris is strong in the opening, strong and pleasant, and the vanilla is more dominant in the drydown but the notes of iris do not disappear in the drydown. I have to praise Avon for creating a truly designer/niche type of scent without any signs of the typical Avon smell. I like the bottle design also a lot. Smells expensive, lasts long on my skin. Reminds me of La Vie est Belle, but Iris Fetiche is softer, a bit more delicate. I'm positively surprised, I was prepared to fail with this blind buy.

Reminds me of a Guerlain not sure which one. Lots of patch and vanilla, no iris yet. If you're looking for something similar to Bvlgari Iris D'or or Prada infusion d'Iris save up your pennies and get the Bvlgari or Prada you won't regret it. Those are my two of my top 10 for life, "desert island" perfumes.

Nice, sweet but not too much, and a little spicy. You can totally smell the iris. For the price it is perfect. Smells and lasts as an expensive perfume would.

Beautiful feminine, sweet scent, great quality and very long-lasting. So wonderful and so above the Avon standards.

I was pleasantly surprised by this, considering I've never been impressed by an Avon. I'm not huge on green scents and rose gives me a migraine, but I find this so wearable. I don't detect rose at all. The greenness isn't too sharp, the sweetness from the vanilla is subtle and softens the whole fragrance, and the iris is just delightful and hits the right balance. Iris can go too powdery or too thick and buttery for me, but this hits the sweet spot. I would say that the name "iris fetiche" is maybe misleading, as I find this fragrance to be innocent and soft. I've worn this to bed many times, and I always wake up and still smell it as if I just sprayed it on. So glad I picked this up, I'm going to be wearing this all the time.

Altogether, lovely perfume, it grows on you quite quickly. I am not a fan of green scents. If you're into this accord, you will like the opening of Iris Fetiche as well. But oh boy, is it too much freshly bruised greens by the river on a spring morning! Sweet, full bodied, but very, very green! The drydown is sweet and powdery, on my skin it seems the perfume has flipped a switch from sunrise to a sunset - cozy, homely and calming scent. Also Vanilla Fetiche would be a much more appropriate name, since Iris, while still very much present, is taking the backseat.

Such a well balanced, elegant, yet simple scent! I am pleasantly surprised by this line, and this is the best so far! The bottle is also quite nice. It is a fresh, a bit earthy iris with gentle notes of rose, green leaves and a creamy, warm musky base. Elegant, yet it does not require a formal wear. Great longevity and sillage, good value for money!

I immediately liked it when I smelled a sample. But it also smells very smokey to me. Very nice powdery flower base, the rose is not noticable luckily because I dislike rose scents, but the drydown is very smokey on me, like I just went out to smoke, or I stood in some serious incense smoke cloud. But it's a nice, sexy scent.

Total dupe of La Vie Est Belle, of course not so intense and long lasting. Definitely not so sweet. The scent is 90% the same. Longevity - about 3 hours. I will gift this because I am not a fan of La Vie Est Belle. But it is a really good dupe.

A very beautiful iris based flower bouquet, not overly powdery, like many other iris scents I sampled. Elegant, but it can also be worn with smart casual outfits. I really like it, a pleasant surprise from Avon.

it reminds me of Frank Boclet Ylang Ylang - pretty sweet and dry, powdery due to the iris. A mature version of cotton candy fragrances. Also similar to the new launch of La Vie est belle (Iris Absolute)

This is a very nice and elegant perfume, but unfortunately there's something in there that is giving me a headache, probably the amber. Such a shame, because otherwise I would wear it often.

Strong, heavy, powdery. Not for faint hearted. It smells like expensive niche perfume. Very well done and long lasting. Very strong like.

I orderd three samples from this serie and this one is the first to try. And I do not like it at all. Initial notes are very strange it is like patchouli mixed with vanilla? I cam detect similar accords to exlamation, I mean this type of sweetness. If you are looking for Iris similar to Prada, you will be disapointed. I cannot smell iris at any stage. To my luck it is gone very, very quickly. Not remarkable, not memorable. If this is how niche smells, I am not interested in niche then.

I got a sample of all 3 and very happy I did as I could not wear this one. To my nose it is identical to Palmolive shower gel (purple cap and orchids on label). I don't think I can make out any separate notes as my brain keeps saying "shower gel!", but it is not very powdery and I think the vanilla overpowers the iris. It is a pleasant smell but not what you would expect from an Iris centred perfume.

Synthetic and cheap smelling 'mainstream-vanilla' scent. No iris, which is one of my favourite notes. I'm really disappointed with this perfume. All iris-lovers, better don't buy it blindly! Thank God I only ordered a sample...

I really like this! I get no discernible pepper or iris first on; it's mostly a rich, true StarJasmine/bush Magnolia white floral with green notes behind and a base of vanilla made powdery by iris. Very makeup-scent base, with those lush floral notes over. This is what I thought Amouage Blossom Love should smell like. It really is similar, minus the screaming alcoholic Oud synthetics. Iris Fetiche is lovely. The bottle is also gorgeous, all heavy glass and ombre purple. I paid about $15 for this and I couldn’t be more pleased. Lasts about an hour with sillage, and still going 5 hours later as a skin scent.

Well, i dont have this perfume because it.s unisex and that make me confused but i am sure that the new line of artistique unisex perfume is similar to Yves rocher new line of unisex perfume, and this one should smell like Autour de minuit (which i have it now) and i am not a fan of unisex perfumes as i have try this one from Yves rocher because i like only the ones which are sweet feminine perfumes, these ones only makes me be so confused if i do want to wear this or not.

Soft vanilla clouds, fluffy, sweet, white with a hint of purple. Just a little floral/woody/spicy. As others have noted, more vanilla than a powdery iris. UPDATE: now I have a full bottle to sample and wear this :) A refined, sophisticated scent, slightly aristocratic and cold in its character, but not in its notes. An assertive perfume, smells like dusk, the exquisite hour. You are by yourself, in expensive chic clothes, silently smiling and watching the sun set.

UPDATE: There's definitely a harsh sharp woody note in here, but it stays fairly well back behind the powdery pretty florals. I still love this even though I really dislike that woody alcohol note and I also despise powder. This is more makeup powder than baby powder. Just pretty and pleasant. I mostly end up wearing it as a bed time scent.

This is, in my opinion, one of the best perfumes Avon has released in recent years. It's a very well blended scent with a fresh green opening and a powdery iris that lasts ages before being a soft iris over the woody base. It's very long lasting with a gorgeous drydown. It smells more expensive than it actually is (£18).

This line is very impressive from Avon! This one starts out with a greenish Iris, then a sweet Vanilla kicks in but it doesn't turn into a gourmand then it dries down with a Smokey Tonka Bean, it's not listed but it's definitely there. It is of excellent quality, develops very nicely and It is Unisex.

On me, it's definitely heavy iris in the beginning, sharp to the nose, even. Give it some time to the sweet vanilla drydown. Smells more expensive than it is. And no trace of the "basic Avon smell" thank gods! Well done Avon! Finally stepped on the right path.

I agree with the previous 2 reviews. This is vanilla heavy, very powdery. The iris is nowhere to be found. It's not a bad frag, but it would have been better marketed as a soft vanilla scent rather than iris. Try before you buy!

This is quite a nice iris scent that later mixes with the airy vanilla. It’s not overpowering, just elegant. A little gem for a very affordable price. And how awesome that Emilie Bevierre Copperman made this!

It is spicy, non-sweet Vanilla. Not really the cold or powdery iris and reminds me of Yves Rocher Bois Sensuel. Longlasting.

Love this, even better in warmer weather, sweet and fluffy but not owerpowering, makes my day happier 🦋
