Life Colour by Kenzo Takada For Her

A wonderful perfume. Like Life but more sweet as if Life and Acqua di Gioia had a baby. Oceanic sweet fruity floral light in character but lasts.

Sorry to say so, but I found this kind of disappointing. I would have expected more from a collaboration with Kenzo, as I like many scents by the brand (especially Amour and Jungle). Unfortunately I don't get any rice, raspberry or suede from Life Color. I perceive this as a pale white floral with a vague underlying warmth and a pear note on top. It smells all right, but nothing stands out about it and I don't know why I should chose this over other light fruity florals. It's missing character. I haven't tried the original Life, so I can't compare the two.

On the paper site in catalogue it smelled interesting, but in real it made me nautious. The white suede note feels too irritating to my nose. Not really my taste...I hate the idea of being surrounded by this odour all day long

Oh, I am the first to review it! Life by Kenzo was not a real hit for Avon, so I was quite surprised they insisted on this line. Life Colour is whatsoever not a flanker for Life, it is a new fragrance, they don't have much in common. Life Colour is a pretty, uncomplicated, generic fruity-floral, from the fresh side. Mostly pear and magnolia on me, with a soft drydown - maybe the basmati rice? It is a pleasant daytime wear, but completely lacks originality. Sillage and staying power are both not very good. All in one, I find it overpriced for what it offers. There are way better Avon fragrances for half of the price, and for this money you can just buy a real designer perfume on sale. It is not bad. But "pleasant" is not something enough to make me happy when it comes to a fragrance, especially if associated with Kenzo. My shampoo and toilet cleaner also smell nice - for a fragrance nice is not enough! Just another boring fruity floral. At least it is not sweet.

Why would Kenzo, Avon, Frank Voelkl and Olivier Cresp settle for this less than mediocre fragrance, an ugly bottle and overly synthetic ingredients? It’s beyond me, they can all do better than this. Already the first perfume from the collaboration was a flop, but it at least had a nicer bottle. Why continue? Even decline. 😞 This is synthetic pear 🍐 and magnolia. I was hoping that the rice and suede will warm it up and render it more intriguing but alas! Thankfully they didn’t continue with this charade.

You know what this smells like to me? The amped up, more floral version of a Nivea body cream! (the blue bottle for dry skin, though I think their whole range smells pretty much the same). Pleasant, slightly citrusy, inoffensive, one can tell that it's not an extremely graceful perfume, but it's good for what it is.

I liked this more than the original.This smells very fruity and creamy on me, probably due to the rice note.I'd say it's not a very complicated perfume, it doesn't offends, and it's perfect for spring/summer.
