Natori

I was never an Avon fan, but my mother used to order from from a lady at her job that sold Avon on the side. They used to include perfume samples in orders, sent as a 1" saturated pad in a foil packet. I found a sealed sample of Natori on the kitchen table one morning next to her Avon bag and rubbed it on, then went about my day and forgot about it. All during my college classes that day I kept getting whiffs of something really nice. REALLY nice. I discreetly walked near various girls to see which one was wearing the awesome perfume, but it wasn't coming from any of them. I remember finally sniffing around on myself and being shocked to find that incredible scent coming from my own sleeves. The drydown on my skin was even better. When I got home that afternoon I immediately found my mom's Avon catalog and called the lady to order a full bottle. I wore it regularly for the next few years. It smelled grownup and sophisticated, but still youthful and pretty. My fiance loved it on me, too. It was such a unique scent, and smelled so high end. Even now I can't believe it came from Avon. It worked in any season, and was soft enough for daily use but rich enough for evening wear. I haven't found anything else like it, anywhere. I was so excited to score a bottle on eBay a couple years ago, but sadly it was turned and has that stale bitterness from age. So disappointing, because I can still smell the remnants of the original magic underneath. If they ever re-release this in the original formulation 🤞, I would pay pretty much any price they asked for it. It was just that good. A truly timeless gem in the world of fragrance--straight from the pages of an Avon catalog. 😳🤷🤣🥰

I remember this so well! My mom used to wear this to work and when she sprayed it, the room smelled magnificent! I would occasionally wear this as well, even though I was 15 years old at that time. I purchased a bottle off eBay and it reminds me of those days. When I miss my mom, I just spray this and it takes me back to better days:)

This fragrance is one of the longest-lasting, unique fragrances I have ever experienced. I first purchased it in 1995, ( the year I turned 40)... at that time I was purchasing much more expensive brands... but this... this is a stand-out. I found it again on eBay several years ago and began wearing it again. It lasts at least eight hours; gets compliments all the time... Smells like a bouquet of flowers fresh from the florist....a small amount goes a long way, lasts all day. It is sweet and summery. But not light. It is not juvenile, nor is it a "cheap", or "dimestore" fragrance. If you are adventurous with fragrance, this is one to grab off eBay or Etsy. I was a pretty buff bodybuilder in those days, worked outdoors in Florida with FPL... it is a girly fragrance and I was anything but girly... the fragrance turns heads....

This, to me, is a floral oriental, there is no musk in it at all, but a woody resinous base. A green rose (due to geranium note and violet in the opening) and a sandal background are the main recognisable forces. The resins, benzoin and orris root, appear after some minutes and play a delicious well-blended match with sandalwood. All in all, it makes it an interesting fragrance. Nice, feminine. There is something about the geranium that personally un pleases me, that is why I won't repurchase it again (it's only a mini). But don't be mislead by my personal thing about geranium in any scent. This is a beautiful green rose on sandalwood most of the time, just a bit tad too bitter some other time...
