Night Odyssey

This was one of my first "grown up" perfumes. I was a wee post-punk gothling in the 80's and the name of the perfume fit the MTV vibe. My grandma was an Avon distributor who kept me supplied. While it does have a soapiness to it, the dark amber incense is what set the mark for my favorite scent profile as I got older. I expect the new old stock has changed in the bottle a bit but it's close enough to spark memories. It is absolutely dated! That's the point. Even so, it's still a beautiful scent. I might get a couple more bottles.

i recently tried odyssey and i must say i prefer this one. that one is quite musky/powdery and this one is more sweet/woody. i am guessing there is some sandalwood and soft florals, along with other woods here. it gets kind of powdery as well but has a subtle sweetness which is really enjoyable. it's very pretty and relaxing.

An older bottle of this showed up in a mixed lot of perfumes I bought on Ebay. Upon first application, to my nose this is very spicy with a bit of sweetness beneath it. As it dried down the spice remains with the sweeter notes dulling a bit to a more soapy scent that I don't find unpleasant only because the spice is still at the forefront. Definitely reminiscent of the 1980s but worth having for a bit of a change up to add to a collection.

Actually love the smell of this. Yes it does have that oldies soapy incense smell, but there is something sexy and natural and earthy and musky. I would gladly add it to my collection. It is an earthy musky soapy incense classic 80s scent. One that I actually like!
