Odyssey

I just had to review my beloved Odsyssey. I haven't worn it for a couple of years. People will probably find it odd that I like it, considering I'm more of a Chanel girl...Cristalle, #19, and #5 l'eau. My fondness for Odysssey is from way back. It's a special scent memory. I wore it when I was 15, back in 1982 and continued to wear it all the way through 1983. It was the perfume I wore when I was in love for the first time. When I smell this perfume, I do think of my boyfriend at the time. I just got a bottle last week, and I've been wearing it every day since then. I just keep reaching for it. Every time I smell it, it comforts me. I enjoyed it at 15, and I'm still enjoying it at 50. Enough of my boring sentiment...now for what it smells like. To me, Odyssey is very reminiscent of soap, in a big way. It's also very powdery and musky at times. I think it's the magnolia and lily of the valley that I like...they make it really fresh. I'll be happy to keep wearing this and Chanel Cristalle for the rest of my days.

My mother wore this when I was a little girl right about the time it came out. It brings back so many memories.....very comforting. I just picked up a vintage bottle at a thriftstore the other day and was super excited to try it again after SO many years. I don't fancy myself a musk lover. I do like musk on others (with the right chemistry) but usually on myself, I just end up smelling like a ferret or some other gamey,furry,little creature....hmmmm.This one doesn't bother me....it's actually very pleasant and definitely vintage smelling.Soft and subtle. It also has a definite *Avon* smell about it....If you grew up on all those fun little bottles too,you know what I mean.....a slight acrid quality. Although it's vintage, it's still classy and very wearable.A refreshing change from all the syrupy, teeth-rotting sweet stuff being made these days.

For me it was junior high where all my Odyssey memories take flight! I loved this scent, and still do. I think it was probably the first perfume I ever wore, because my mother was kind enough to share hers with me. Oh, the memories of seventh grade when boys were just starting to notice me and my body grew the appropriate "bumps" in all the appropriate places, ha, but what a year 1982 was and Odyssey made it that much more special. What a memorable, musky scent -- very few scents are as unique as this, as memorable or as memory-inducing as this classic scent. If, like me, you like the soapy, musky scents, you will enjoy this. I agree with another reviewer who said it reminds her of Jovan White Musk. It just feels like a fragrance I will never outgrow.

i had to chuckle at all the reviews because i totally feel the same way !!! this was THE perfume of high school....i think every girl owned a bottle of odyssey & yes we all bathed in it LOL.......i loved it then & still love it today :) when i wear it it evokes such happy memories :) its a feel good , comfy cozy , happy scent for me :) and even though it is on the stronger floral side - its a nice clean refreshing floral & it does have super lasting power.........i would say a little goes a long way with this scent for sure lol and avon please never discontinue this scent......its a classic to keep :)

Hadas, I remember that fragrance called Jovan Eau Fresh. My mom had it in the 80's. She had a small bottle of the body splash. I loved it!! I agree with you...it is similar to Odyssey. The other body splash that my mom had at the time, was one from Bonne Bell. I wish I could remember the name of it, but it smelled even better than Jovan Eau Fresh. It was a grassy herbal smelling fragrance. It kind of reminded me of Herbal Essence shampoo, but a little sweeter. It almost had a watermelon tinge to it. I would love to find it again, but it's long discontinued. Sniff Sniff!!

If you were a kid I. The 80s this was the "adult" 80s smell.lol It def.is an 80s smell but not a bad one.it makes me think of my mom wearing it,& she would go out dancing or doing things adults did while you stayed home (wearing baby soft) it has a fun smell.I purchase the lotion & will put in on after a bath.its nice.could be worn night or day.im too good w/ discribtion of smell but I just feel its a fun sent.not fruity fun,but grown up fun if that makes any sense.its worth it to own a bottle to wear just to switch things up.for me it's a winter smell.

This makes me think of wind for some reason, air and wind. I usually like to wear incense and musk fragrances but today I decided to put this on for a fresh from the shower smell. It is not overpowering in any way. Just clean. LOVE IT! ETA I absolutely love this! But I am trying something; I bought a vintage bottle of this on ebay that is actualy an edp. I didnt even know that they did this! So now I will see if the vintage is actually better since someone said it really was. Will keep you posted. :)

Odyssey was my first fragrance love at the age of 4. My mother sold Avon,and a sample of this had me feeling heavenly. At that age I was given a rollette of Odyssey. It will always be the scent of cool,confidence,and relaxing moments. The magnolia and heliotrope always having an effect on me.A fragrance that smells clean,flowery,cool,and slightly powdery. You aren't trying too hard. You are being yourself. Still a favorite. Always will be. Delighted to own a bottle of Odyssey again.

Well, I have found an Avon Lady, and I have ordered a whole bunch of vintages. Odyssey is one. WOW!! This will take you back. It is not an old scent at all. Airy, soft, creamy and sexy. That's the texture. The blend is so well done, it is hard to break it down. To me it is a constant scent of the same fragrance, but oh, how lovely. It does, however, smell a little bit like Occur. I didn't like it so much when I was young, but now. This is going on my gotta have it list. I love it

This is definitely a great summer perfume. So many of my perfumes are too heavy for the summer months, they'll induce headaches in other people and at times even irritate Odyssey is not one of them. It's very exotic- the cool tropical flowers mixed in with the Earthiness add a nearly "woody" smell. On whiff of this while walking has people asking "what is that you're wearing?" I think it's the subtle familiarity of magnolia and the mellowness of the woods. Definitely a keeper.

What a nice fragrance! Odyssey has a clean, soapy smell to it. It's a powdery, floral musk. The nice thing about Avon fragrances is that you can buy perfume with coordinating shower gel, lotion, deodorant, and powder: it's easy to make the scent last all day. They're also incredibly affordable! I love that Avon still makes these classic scents.

My grandmother wore this. I still remember a couple bumble bees following her around like puppy dogs once while she was wearing it outside. I keep meaning to buy a bottle for myself, but haven't because you have to order it from an Avon rep instead of just a store.

This is an old friend to me .I dont know why I like it ...ever since it came out. it is a clean scent i dont know how to explain it but I need to have it in my collection. I just cant be without it. Just love it even thou I dont use it everyday.

Cloudy, blissful, clean musk with prominent, powdery, slightly green florals. The magnolia, musk, and mimosa together produce an almost petrichor quality. A perfect rainy day perfume.

Odyssey is curled up on the couch with my head on my Mother's lap while she braids my hair. I might never be able to go home again, but I can always buy another bottle of Odyssey.

Just a note. Odyssey has been around earlier than 1981, as I distinctly remember packing a bottle of this before 1978 in my hometown, before moving.

Hands down best Avon fragrance. Smells clean. If you like Body Shop White Musk or JHAG Musc Invisible you'll like this!

This is my after bath perfume. Smells so lovely on the sheets. I do wish it would last a little longer once applied...

I love odyssey, unfortunately my wife doesn’t. It’s a very clean fresh smell.

Oh, Odyssey, Odyssey....misnamed and with such an ugly bottle....such a disadvantage. Like the geeky teenager of the perfume world, Odyssey gets overlooked and misjudged for her external characteristics, rather than given a chance to stand on her own merits. Yes, the bottle looks like there should be a disclaimer “must be worn with legwarmers, shoulder pads and/or 4 inch bangs and Aquanet”. Yes, it is a subtle musky floral that harkens to secret grottos rather than legendary adventure. But Odyssey is a jewel of a perfume, I recommend giving it a chance. Odyssey starts with a very harsh, chemical note. The first 3 minutes are unpleasant. Then it quickly settles to a clean musky floral. Clean and yes, “soapy” (maybe because everyone has subconscious memories of Avon soap in this fragrance from their childhood). Not powdery, but very fresh and clean. It is a similar scent to Jovan’s White Musk, but with the addition of lily of the valley. It is a skin scent with a bit more projection than some—a pleasant perfume aura. I must for white musk lovers, and perfect for casual spring or summer days. Picture this: an early, cool spring morning. You wake up, shower and throw on some comfortable jeans and a cozy sweater. In the dawn light you trek down the green fields filled with violets and jonquils, the dew gathering on your shoes like glittering gems. You find your favorite spot, the clear and cool creek at the bottom of the hill. Parting the hanging branches of the willow tree, you settle onto a large, flat grey slab of granite to watch the sunrise through the willow buds in the cool shadow of the tree. Around your feet and the roots of the tree, lilies of the valley bloom in the spring morning. The scent of lily surrounds you, mixed with the smell of the dewy morning air and your own freshly washed skin. This is all of the Odyssey you need.

I hadn't worn Odyssey since I was 12 years old, as my own personal purchase - the first fragrance I ever bought myself. It was VERY clean and somewhat floral and cheerful, all of which made it suitable for my tween self! But for some reason, when it was empty I didn't feel an urge to obtain more. It was as if one experience was past and another awaiting... Sadly, I didn't have another fragrance experience I truly loved until years later when I found Avon Honeysuckle at a garage sale.... And the rest is history! Let me say it again, I LOVE FRAGRANCES!!! Back to today: Odyssey is a touch strident for my tastes now, yet the skin softener I have just discovered seems to have a bit more warmth than the actual spray - cinnamon perhaps? It is charming and very suitable for a hot summer day. I would recommend this to anyone who found Odyssey a trifle harsh but wanted to enjoy it. Today I appreciate the creamy/warm side of Odyssey as never before. As an added note, I LOVE the scented skin softeners from Avon. Not heavy, yet moisturizing well enough that a little goes a long way. Also, well named, as they are very softening and silky on the skin! Odyssey may or may not be your chosen journey, but she is worth a visit. Those who want an affordable, fresh scent with NO aquatic aspect will be pleased, as will those who enjoy various types of white musk-based florals. Very nicely done. Four stars!

I have so many happy memories flood my mind every time I spray on Odyssey. In my early teens, the lady next door to us was our neighborhood's Avon lady. She hired me to carry and deliver Avon brochures throughout our neighborhood. It took a long time, and a lot of walking, to get the job done. Luckily for me, my best friend accompanied me most of the time. That really made it a fun job. The best part, however, was that the Avon lady "paid me" by letting me choose items from the current Avon campaign. I remember that Odyssey was the first "adult lady" scent I had ever purchased, and my goodness, was I happy with my choice! Everyone I knew made comments about how good I smelled (except my Dad who never liked any perfume except my Mom's Chantilly and White Shoulders). Odyssey was definitely my signature scent all through my teens (of course that was before I knew that people had signature scents. I loved all of the notes between the first spritz and the dry down. As I continued working for the Avon lady, I "purchased" almost all of the perfumes Avon carried at that time, and I don't remember disliking any of them. I loved Pearls & Lace and Pavi Elle, but it seemed no matter how my collection grew, Odyssey was the scent I reached for more often than any of the others. Odyssey is still in my collection, and will continue to be as long as It Avon produces it. It is a true gem!

My favorite perfume is Avon Soft Musk (discontinued in the USA). I ordered Odyssey because someone said it was a sister to Soft Musk and when I don't wear Soft Musk, I occasionally wear lily of the valley perfumes. Other reviewers commented that it was ultra feminine but I find it to be masculine in a barbershop way! I won't say I completely dislike Odyssey but it is opposite of its feminine floral notes. I think I smell leather---a white leather!! This has no spices but something about it reminds of Imari, which I liked but couldn't bring myself to wear because I am a busy person always sweating, which amplified the spices and made me smell like Secret Powder Fresh (good) and curry (good for tasting, bad for smelling like!). With Odyssey, I expected a musky citrus with Lilly if the valley, like a spring time version of soft musk. But odd, it smells like a masculine Windsong, which is a lily of the valley. Other reviewers said it was for an "natural" type of woman so I thought it would be a simple and easy to wear perfume for a busy person who needs to smell good around others in close proximity. While not beautiful in a feminine way, it is complex...I would enjoy it on a man to give him a feminine touch--like he just went to visit my grandparents, had a close shave at the barbershop, and hugged a Windsong wearin' granny!

There was a friends mom who sold Avon and gave me a sample of Odyssey, I was probably about 12 years old. I loved it, it smelled just so clean and soapy almost and that was something I craved in those days. I grew up quite poor , with a heavy smoker in an apartment that wasn’t always the cleanest. Just comes with the territory I guess. All I wanted was to smell and look clean like all the “rich kids” (read: middle class) I went to school with. I felt like Odyssey helped me to achieve that, though it wasn’t reality. When I could earn a little money eventually I bought Odyssey for myself. I eventually outgrew the scent but I always appreciated the sense of normalcy it brought to my life. For a long time I gravitated to only clean, laundry like scents. Even when my life was going well, and I had a clean, stable home, I always wanted to just present myself in that way . It took a while to actually develop a real personality with scent. I guess this is a bittersweet story, but in the end, Avon Odyssey actually was important in my life at one time. Who would have ever thought?!

I have a reformulated, tall, slim bottle which I bought in 2006, and which may well be vintage, lol. Everytime I smell it, I'm back in time, I'm 14 years old. A naive girl with soft, golden brown hair, smelling of musk or something musky only. I would combine Odyssey with the body cream, and I would look for the next bath time eagerly so as I could repeat my "queenly" ritual of immersing myself in Odyssey, in our tiny bathroom once I finish my shower. The smell was simply lovely, it still technically is, enough to remind me of the old days. What I cannot handle now is I guess all the naivette I associate with this scent. Super lovely, super sweet, super lady-like, super and SOFT all the way. I still spritz it on my wrist from time to time and I sometimes happen to wear Soft Musk too, which people still do love like they love Odyssey! It just feels like I'm fooling myself into way too much innocence nowadays and that's all :)

Not my favorite but it is a fragrance to be appreciated. I can't normally wear musk well and I especially don't like it when the composition is too linear as I like my fragrances somewhat complex. This is a simple, clean soapy fragrance that lacks a little depth. Overall, the drydown ends up warm but the fragrance doesn't have that sophistication I'm looking for. Other people tend to like it as it just smells clean so it gets a boost for its inoffensiveness. It can spray on strong, be careful. A little goes a long way.

Thank you Fragrantica reviewers for making me smile with glee. Yes - Odyssey is High School in the 1980s! I had it in every form, including a waxy "pencil" that I applied to my wrists all day long. I even had this in a roll-on deodorant. It used to be sold as "Mimosa and magnolia with a memory of musk." (mmm) It's clean and soapy and musky, but absolutely unmistakable.I can't think of another fragrance that smells like this! Odyssey is such a happy scent...I need to buy a new bottle soon, for the memories.

How did I miss this one? Well, for one, I'm not a huge fan of Avon scents, especially the reformulated Soft Musk - ugh! I found an unopened, unused jar of the perfumed body lotion for a really good price, and thought 'd give it a try. What a nice surprise. I really like musk scents, and this one didn't disappoint. I personally don't feel that this musk hits you over the head, or maybe, on me, it's close to the skin. I like it. Not my favorite musk fragrance, but it's very nice.

All I smell here is clean. After I have had it on awhile, I really cannot smell it at all. So I decided that I would review this based on compliments. This is my 2nd day to wear it and on the first day, I had 2 compliments, which was very nice. This fragrance actually might be a bit unisex. It's not super girly, not really flowery. Clean, muted, perfect for wearing to work. While it might not be the perfume I would carry to Gilligans Island, it is nice and a great value.

I think of Odyssey as the official fragrance of EPCOT Center. The name, the bottle, the scent...a take on the future from the past. I would never wear this fragrance on a date or to an important event, but there is something comforting about it, in an old timey sort of way, when lounging about the house on a dreary day. The scent reminds me of damp, clean wool. It is quintessential vintage Avon with those musky notes classic Avon fragrances always hit.

Pretty bottle, this 2 oz splash, with etched glass and a plastic flower top. Easy to use and practical. This is a very light cologne. It smells like a true cologne, a classic cologne in the realm of 4711 meets Jean Nate. Fresh and light, this is absolutely unisex and for all ages. This would be perfect to keep in a guest room. I give the bottle a perfect score. This is a nice decent cologne that would be safe to wear anywhere. Very light.

The notes are a little confusing for this one. Avon never lists many notes on their website or in their brochures. The ones they do list for Odyssey are tuberose, ylang ylang, and oakmoss. None of these appear in the pyramid below. I find this to be a mossy, woody, and powdery floral. The oakmoss really stands out at first. Odyssey is green and soapy while being warm and floral at the same time. Nice!

Original formula: So creamy, sweet, musky, powdery, balmy, intoxicating heaven. Such a soft an innocent smelling perfume ideal for a girl, yet still feminine enough to assert its heavenly presence. Coupled with the body cream in the lilac jar, simply irresistible. Later reformulation (tall, slim bottle) is only a shadow of the original. Utterly flat in comparison and lacks something quite vital.

Beautiful floral white musk, I have a vintage bottle and it lasts quite a long time with just a half spray distributed across pulse points. Nothing fancy, it's perfect for mild weather, church, or when you just want to smell "nice." I wouldn't say it's sexy and it's objectively dated, but musk never goes out of style in my humble opinion.

My favorite after shower/bath scent. Light and clean with lily of the valley and musk. There's more to the notes, but that's what I get the most. It's been around forever and the bottle is outdated, but it is refreshing in the heat and humidity. Two sprays lasts about 6 hours on me. Plentiful (and cheap) on Ebay, too.

I am getting something different from this one than a lot of the other reviewers here. To me it's a soapy, powdery, musk. I don't get sweet at all. And the florals are muted and in the background. It's pleasant and another great after the bath or shower cozy wind down your day scent.

this is familiar from my childhood. it opens with a woody musk and hints of mimosa and lily. the woodiness calms down after awhile it's just mostly a cozy soft white musk. clean and simple with a vintage feel. i like it but i have other avon musks i prefer just a bit more.

I had worn this through my teenage years and always received compliments. Very creamy, musky, soft, powdery, comforting, nice fragrance. I still keep a bottle of it -though I suspect reformulated-, but would I wear it now... well I don't know, I sometimes smell it!

i can almost smell this one while im writing about it had this years ago as did most of my friends we felt grown up wearing this i quite liked its clean soapy smell probs would buy again if it was around.

Odyssey is a wonderful fragrance! I see people say it's strong, well, that's the way I like my perfumes! I don't see it as strong. I love the musky, floral scent. Very alluring and feminine.

The year was 1982 and I had just finished college. My sister is not a perfume person but she had a bottle of this. I thought, how beautiful, and here is something I can actually afford. So began the lifelong tradition of not liking perfumes anymore after wearing them 3 times. This smells like something a stripper would wear. Brings back memories of all that was bad about the 80's. Of all Avon perfumes, I have only been able to wear LBD,

I tried this perfume as it was the signature frag of one of the most popular girls in my high school. I hated it; it smelled like cheap soap on me. Thank God it has no staying power. I bought a bottle a year ago; had to give it away as it smelled just as I remembered back in high school. Sorry for the fans of this frag, I guess it does not agree on me.

Initially, it is overwhelming in the sweet floral department. It then calms down snd smells like Old Spice on me. This is a gender bender that I do not want. I don't want to smell like a Nantucket Ship's Captain....though I do like the tune in the old ad.

Sorry guys, but "EW!" is all I can say - even my grandma wouldn't wear that! It's one of those "Red Moscow" type of fragrances (those who know, would understand..)

As the name suggests, I expected something more exotic. Alas, that didn't happen, it was all musk for me. And i hate fragrances that are predominately musk.

I bought this recently on sale through Avon. Having smelled it so long ago, I was looking for nostalgia and boy is this the ticket to nostalgia! On parent's nights out in the early 80s, my sisters and I would go sleep over at a neighbor lady's house and watch Night Flight until the wee hours. Eurythmics, Police... those were the days. That lady wore Odyssey (although from having a grandmother who sold Avon, I am otherwise familiar with many of the older Avon scents). Night Flight and Odyssey, now that's a recipe for some serous nostalgia! Odyssey starts as kind of a lavender-esque mess. I'm surprised lavender is not in the notes. On first spray it has that messy "drats, kids have been mixing perfume together again" smell, but wait. It seriously calms down in a minute and all that initial "cluster of cheap perfume" odor evaporates, leaving what is to be loved about it. I am not one to lean toward perfumes that are so safe they are just boring. This includes clean simple florals, yet that is what odyssey is. However, there is something very unique about it, serious nostalgia material... so it holds my interest. I would call the dry down something like "vintage jasmine soap". Jasmine is not mentioned in the notes here, but it is mentioned on the avon website. I can't believe no one has mentioned it. I pick up way more jasmine than musk. Any hint of muskiness just comes off as true jasmine to me. It is not a candied jasmine. Odyssey is not really sweet, but it's herbal quality is lush enough that it has this pseudo-sweet quality. It is the jasmine!... and it is a GREEN jasmine. I'm talking leaves right off the bush put into a creamy, almost sweet vintage soap. The creaminess IS the soapiness, as strange as that sounds. Many creamy smelling perfumes are all about creamy vanilla, similar notes, and body chemistry... so "clean" and "creamy" are not words put together frequently to describe perfumes. There's always exceptions of course, but I would say that more often than not these two different words are used to describe different types of perfume. That is where Odyssey is weird and interesting. Clean, creamy, soapy, green jasmine. Vintage yet safe. . . and interesting enough that I have actually been wearing it as opposed to many of my other super cheap perfumes that I just smell frequently, spray on linens, and kind of "enjoy without actually committing to wear". I wouldn't say it is jaw-dropping, but it's nice, simple. Fun but mature.. and if you smell it enough, it is bound to leave it's imprint on your memory. You should try it by associating it with enjoyable relaxing moments, like watching "your show" or taking that relaxing drive on a cool spring night while listening to your tunes. It's THAT kind of perfume. It's not date night perfume. It is an atmospheric way to build memorable associations around those little everyday me-moments, and it's cheap enough to spray on lots of stuff.

Odyssey. One whiff of this scent and it brought me back to when I was little and my mother was our local Avon lady's best client. She wore this fragrance in the 80's. It has been reformulated and still sells and according to my mother who recently bought it smells the same except with less musk. I had the pleasure of smelling this fragrance once again recently. To me it's a cool summer scent. It's perfect for both spring and summer but on me it's more of a summer perfume. With a name like Odyssey and the look of the bottle I had hoped it would be an aquatic floral scent and that it would be something like L'Eau D'Issey of the 80's. I love Homer's Odyssey the ancient Greek epic about the fall of Troy and Odysseus's adventures sailing from island to island in the Mediterranean Sea as he tries to find his way back home to his wife and son in Ithaca. If they have a fragrance that evokes that great story, I would not hesitate to buy it and wear it. But this fragrance is not what I'd expected. It's not an aquatic scent although strangely enough it can sometimes evoke fresh sea air. I don't know how they did that because none of the notes should wear like a sea breeze. The first spritz is aldehydic and fresh like a wind blowing on your face. Though aldehydes are not listed most vintage Avons contain aldehydes. There's a brief passing fragrance of citrus but it's clearly the mimosa that begins to release it's aroma. It's a beautiful mimosa, fresh, delicious and sunny. The magnolia flower tags along and the lily of the valley. So this was in simplest terms a citrus-white floral and yellow floral fragrance. I've experienced scents with those accords before. They are rather uplifting and energetic, and always remind me of sunshine, flowers and the summer time. This is a fragrance I fell in love with for the second time. The musk at the dry down was originally heavier and performed more like incense or myrrh. The musk was strong and it even turned into a nocturnal scent, smokier and more aromatic, reminiscent of Elizabeth Taylor's Passion. The new formula is missing musk and it's probably a vanilla or amber base note that it dries down to. Gorgeous, sweet, cool refreshing fragrance. I've been wearing it for a whole day and have been on a nostalgic Cloud 9. I highly recommend this fragrance in both it's vintage original form and it's latest incarnation. This smells so nice and if you like your Avons with a little more complexity and sophistication than the garbage it produces today you shouldn't think twice about getting your hands on Odyssey.

For anyone who was around in the 80s, this is time travel in a bottle. It makes me think of the fashions in the early 80s, when hair was still feathery like in the late 70s (and wasn’t exactly crazy big yet, things took a turn in that direction a couple of year later, at least where I lived), new wave fashions were becoming more mainstream, designer jeans were really popular, pocketbooks had that thick cloth material. Like on the show Stranger Things (set in 1983), or in the Nicholas Cage movie Valley Girl (from 1983). Maybe because of the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey, the name makes me think of space travel at the time, too (the first space shuttle went into space in 1981, the year this came out, and it was a huge deal; space shuttle Challenger exploding in 1986). The notes listed here, on Basenotes, and the Avon website all vary, however, To my nose this is a musky scent, with some jasmine & ylang ylang and maybe a hint of mallow (musky lavender flowers)? This came out the same year as the Body Shop White Musk. If you are familiar with that one, or Bath & Body works Moonlight Path, and like those, chances are you might like this one too. They don’t smell exactly the same, but they share notes in common and are similar. I have one that’s in a bottle as pictured here. Asymmetrical, like some of the 80s new wave fashions :D. Not sure how different the scent is in the new bottles, but I read quite a few complaints on the Avon website, stating that it smells different now.

Odyssey will Not Disapoint! 4 Simple Ingredients In Perfect Simple Harmoney and Ballance Odyssey Has Proven that Less is More and All You Need. It has Momose. Magnolia, Musk and Lilly of the Valley in Syphoney Together. I don't recognize the Momse but I get a Perfect Ballance of Magnolia r and Musk with a tinge of Lilly of the Valley for a fresh sent, It's Sweet but not syrupy ickey sweet or sugar candy sweet but gentle tasteful floral sweet, Magnolia is a Heady white floral and the Musk with it makes a Statement of Refined Aluring Beauty and that gets you noticed by the Guys and Complimented by the Gals. The Pice Tage is Cheep but this does not smell Cheep in the Least No weard Artifical Smells, or anything to Heavy or Unpleasent, It's Probably what I would call the sent of an Angle. Id HIghly Reccomend it refualr avon Price for it is 1dollars however I have often seen it on sale do 7:50 at Avon. It's a Great Spring or Summer Sent.

Oh my god i didn't know science had invented such a thing but this perfume is a liquid time capsule! I never heard about this perfume before but apparently oxygen must of been composed of Odyssey back in the 1980's. I really want to do a fair review of this scent, but with each sniff I keep dematerializing Quantum Leap style and re-materializing in a flash of blue light into the past. It's chaotic, colorful, and that song Funky Town is blaring like a soundtrack. Despite these challenges I will attempt to push through with my honest perception of this perfume, so here goes. (Sniff) Well this perfume is gently and sweetly floral..."wont't you take me to"...and musky..."FUNKY-town!...and smells cool, grey, and atmospheric..."won't you take me to"...and kind of aquatic and..."funky-town"...this scent smells linear to me and doesn't change too much from..."won't you take me to FUNKY-town"...beginning to end..."won't you take me to"...and has a youthful vibe to it..."FU-uuunky-TOWN!" and that's pretty much it.
