Premiere Luxe Oud for Her

This is a good one of Avon. It's sweet, heavy oud. Nothing cheap here but a good deep, warm perfume with a great protection and longtivity. Nothing weak or watery but a solid perfume. Love it is. 😊

 When I discovered this perfume about 6 years ago, it made a very good impression on me. But back then I hadn't discovered so many agarwood-rose scents. Today, when I am familiar with many similar fragrances in this climate, Premiere Luxe Oud no longer makes much of an impression, being one of many similar perfumes combining rose and oud. Knowing high-end Arabic perfumes, it is difficult to admire Premiere Luxe Oud, but it must be admitted that in the budget price category it is a very well-built composition. In addition, Avon is famous for the average/poor quality of its perfumes, but in this case they tried to make them of quite good quality. At such a low price, this is commendable. We also have, by Avon standards, a scent that is clearly different from the pleasant but bland mainstream flowers or fruits that the company most often serves. Unfortunately, this niche nature also turned out to be a disadvantage, because the fragrance is no longer offered by the brand. It is not a unique or particularly rich composition. Its core consists of moderately sweet, dark and oily rose and oud in a European version, far from the dirty agar resin known from Arab perfumes. It is the rose in a dark, slightly decadent version that determines the darker character of this fragrance. And basically you can feel mainly these two interpenetrating notes - rose and oud. Together they create an aroma effect in a Gothic, oriental and a little retro style. The background of this super duo includes dry, sweet praline and earthy patchouli, both "additives" nicely enhance the composition, adding chocolate nuances. I don't detect any other notes apart from this quartet, maybe a bit of pepper at the very beginning. It's hard for me to say whether this is a typically feminine perfume, because the rose has a lot of masculine element. I think it's unisex with a slight tilt towards the feminine side. However, if it is to be worn by a woman, she must be mature, somewhat mysterious and elegant. On men's skin there is less bud rose jam and more chocolate rose with a woody undertone. The aroma does not suit young people or T-shirts and sneakers. The parameters are also above Avon's poor standards. Longevity ranges from 6-7 hours, but projection for the first hour is considerable. Then it's moderate, but you have to wait a few hours to reach the very close-to-the-skin phase. Premiere Luxe Oud is not something phenomenal or sublime. It is a secondary composition, but at the price at which this perfume could be bought, it was a really good scent, especially since previously it was difficult to find something similar and so well constructed in such a low price range. The bottle is very nice, it resembles an elegant Greek column and its burgundy color reflects the contents well. 7/10

It's sweet, pleasant, slightly spicy oud that is more user-friendly for those unaccustomed to the heavier oud. Once the chocolate comes through, the scent sort of loses me, because I am not crazy about gourmand scents. They tend to induce headaches. But it is clearly a scent that would be adored or at least appreciated by many. Avon did a really good job here presenting a scent that keeps pace with contemporary offerings from the designers. I really recommend this for someone who likes lovely, sophisticated gourmands. It's not for me, but it's definitely good for many others. If the notes appeal to you, it's worth a try.

This is one of the best Avon fragrances I have tried so far. It starts with a gourmand, but a bit sour rose on me - this phase is beautiful and I adore it. Instead of the praline note what I smell is syrup or loukhum - and it is just loveable. After an initial hour or so it settles down and stays close to skin as a powdery and patchuli based scent, and this phase is the one I don't like so much. It lasts extremely long for an Avon fragrance (12 hours or so). It is absolutely worth trying. And the bottle is also very nice.

I smelled it only from the scented page, if it goes so beautifully with my body chemistry like The original Premiere Luxe does, I am gonna buy it immediatelly. Love oud, and since it's announced that rose is a very prominent note, I think it's gonna be a straight love.

What a surprise! Finally Avon make a fuller, more characteristic scent. The bottle so cool and beautiful (art deco), and the juice is wearable and powerful. I like it wear and I think this is a good choise to the begginers of the maistream oud love.

Just recived it today thanks to my friend from russia shipped to malaysia.. it has similar to juliet has a gun mix with indonesian oud from zegna.. worth every penny.. sadly avon malaysia did not bring in to malaysia.

I like the Bulgarian rose in this. The oud smells rather artificial, compared to other fragrances. Not very refined, but pleasant nonetheless. Especially good longevity on clothes.

Really intriguing!!! A mixture of intense sweetness with deep bitterness, light and darkness, delicate, sweet mandarine peels and rose with heaviest patchouli. Truly a contrasting blend. Intense beginning, no middle notes and then a long-lasting drydown - even more interesting!

it smells like hair dye, ammonia and pepper, it's horrible

I agree it is one of the best perfume from Avon. The opening can seem confusing because it says nothing about what it is to come after 5 minutes. Opening is pungent, disturbing and peppery, but as said, after a few minutes comes the miracle, the rose, patchuli and agarwood start such a nice melange. I can detect also a very subtle veil of oud - even though it is not listed here. Not at all the generic Avon perfume. Deep, dark, rosy, woody, sweet fragrance. No wonder they discontinued it. It can be easily mistaken for an expensive perfume. I recommend it to those who love rose and woody notes. You won't regret buying it!

This is a surprisingly good dupe for Aromatics in White by Clinique. If you like the concept here, Premier Lux Oud for Her is a must grab. *Not migraine safe.
