Premiere Luxe

First let me put this out of the way- "Premiere Luxe" is one of Avon's best creations in recent years, IMO. It breathes of elegance, good taste and sophistication. The longevity and the silage are amazing for at least full six hours on me. After that it slowly starts to fade into a soft skin scent, but you can still feel it hours and hours after that. Although I'm really happy with it now, I needed to wear it for at least three times to get know its beauty. The first time I sprayed the only thing that came to mind was- men's aftershave.I just couldn't get past the bitterness of the grapefruit. I had to wait for a couple of hours until it mellowed down and I could feel the other ingredients. But every next time this phase got shorter and shorter. Now there is still the initial bitter blast, but only for 5-10 minutes, after that the more gentle part of it becomes prominent- white flowers with a fruity touch of black currants and pomegranate. After around 4 hours " Premiere Luxe" settles into a perfect mix of praline and patchouli. It's soft, round and so gentle.I do agree that it has something in common with La Vie Est Belle, but "Premiere" is less sweeter ( which is better IMO). I totally recommend it.

Avon... Avon? Wow, Avon!!! This is nothing like the average Avon scents. This is a gem! Expensive smelling, rich, strong and classy. Somehow it reminds me the creations of Lancome- the bottle seems to be inspired by Magnifique by Lancome ( a filigree Greek column, touch of sophistication, also a reference to the classic canons of beauty), but the scent makes me think about "La vie est belle" also by Lancome. The opening is bittersweet, warm ( the black currant hot drink for your nose), quite strong with just a hint of chocolate sweets (I smiled when I saw the praline in the pyramid), but it settles down like a classic bouquet of white flowers and later transforms into a creamy, delicious, rich mixture. The praline comes back, it melts with the patchouli (in a very good way) and the warm, beautiful sandalwood. The longevity is really good. A wonderful one from Avon!

I bought this perfume based on the positive reviews on here. WOW I was not disappointed. The reviews here are spot on. This is certainly my new favourite and have just purchased another bottle. The scents lasts for ages and the silage is great. I love the patchouli and praline notes, I can make out the black currant too which adds a touch of subtle fruitiness. I was not expecting such a quality of notes, which all compliment each other and this really does remind of a classic perfume meaning no synthetic or off putting 'tickly nose' notes. A classic floral/fruity gourmand scent, which you keep smelling throughout the day as the silage it great and fun to smell the notes as they dry down into a soft sweetness. I would have happily have paid more for this perfume. Please Avon do not discontinue this one.

Finally, Avon, it was about time you reminded us what you are capable of! This is a masterpiece, one of the very best by Avon, and one of the best perfumes in this price range in general. Creamy smooth, exactly the right amount of sweetness and spiciness. A perfect balance that is neither too sharp and cold nor too cloying. I wouldn't call it woody, more like a spicy floral. I don't get any praline, which is good, bc I don't like it. Very good performance and beautiful design. Suitable for special occasions, signature-worthy. Wouldn't be my choice for the office - many people would find it overpowering. Definitely a fall and winter fragrance. It is a shame that it's so rarely in the Avon brochures and that they don't have a mini version. If you find it, I'd say it's totally worth a try.

Yesterday I spent a wonderful evening at the theater, and the woman sitting next to me was wearing an enchanting, deliciously powdery, luxurious, evening-y, expensive perfume. I was inhaling deeply many times to enjoy it, and I was thinking about the perfumes I have tried, because I recognized this wonderful scent, but I couldn't figure out the name of it. While I was living in the story going on on the scene, I felt the whiffs of that fragrance -thick, sweet, a scent of the lady, of the celebration, of special occasions. And then the end, tears in my eyes, storm of applause in the dark, my overwhelming emotions and the big flash in my head -the perfume was Premiere Luxe by Avon.

My bottle arrived today. It's simply a beautiful scent, I wish it was heavier in silage. On my skin Premiere Luxe starts out with jasmine and pralines, on me I can smell dark chocolate. Magnolia note is very prominent too. It's a beautiful white floral bouquet with some gourmie notes. The pomegranate reminds me of Euphoria - it's intense, not fresh and light like it's in Miss Boucheron. Premiere Luxe is a fragrance with personality. Very rich, perfect for a night out and formal events. I got my 30 ml bottle for 5 euro, it's a great bargain for such beauty.

My favourite AVON fragrance had up until now always been CL Absinthe but now have a new favourite. I have to be frank and say that most of AVONs fragrances are as weak as a kitten and I have tried them all as a past AVON Rep. Premiere is the business and I also concur with "a cross between Coco Chanel Mademoiselle and La Vie Est Belle Lancôme. Both are very classy, expensive signature cents, ones were you can just smell and feel the quality". The sillage is moderate on me and it lasts about 5 hours which is amazing for an AVON fragrance!

My mom ordered this way before me, but it was so good I ordered one for myself! And I didn't really know how to describe it other than it smells expensive and sophisticated, but read some reviews and polkadot27 put it perfectly: "a cross between Coco Chanel Mademoiselle and La Vie Est Belle Lancôme. Both are very classy, expensive signature cents, ones were you can just smell and feel the quality". Not to mention Mademoiselle and LVEB is my favorites!

One of the best fragrances from Avon. I'm in love with this masterpiece. Praline and currant with flowers at the background are perfectly suited together. Luxurious and very feminine scent. Longevity and sillage are excellent. It stays on my clothes for twenty four hours. Pity, it was discontinued. I believe that one day Avon will return this wonderful fragrance and gorgeous bottle to the catalogues.

Great,very classy perfume,in my opinion currently best fragrance from Avon.I dont know how exactly to describe it but its fresh and rich at the same time,perfect for any occasion,I received lots of compliments.

I bougth one in 2016 and it lasted me for a year and a half. I bought another one in 2022 and to my nose it seems stronger but still likeable. I think it is the best to use it in spring!

This is not Avon-like . It's sweet and fruity in a luxury, expensive way . To my nose it's Valentina Assoluto's sis'. Worth every penny . Sillage : medium to soft Longevity : 3 hours .

It has a very elegant, luxurious scent. It's not sweet, but if you apply too much, it can become quite intense

This is another good example of a really gorgeous Avon perfume. Very nice floral/a bit citrus scent.

Unisex for me.. Got a vanilla feeling.

One of the best of all the Avon fragrances I tried in the last weeks, after Far Away Rebel and Far Away Gold. It opens up quite tart and sour with intense grapefruit and blackcurrant. You would think it's a citrus scent at the first moments, but it's not. It's just a perfume with a true development from a fresh and fruity top through a more floral heart to a warm base. The drydown is quite sweet, but not cloying or sugary. The praline is clearly the strongest note of the base, but the texture of the scent seems soft and powdery. I can also detect a hint of sandalwood and a shadow of the fruits from the opening. The floral notes are only supporting players, it makes sense that there is some jasmine in here but I can't really single it out. I also don't get a lot of patchouli from this, maybe a light hint. I would have expected Premiere Luxe to be a little more intense and opulent. I usually don't have performance problems, but it sits rather close to my skin and I think it would improve if it was just a tad louder. This way it's a nice daytime fragrance, but not a must-have to me. Several revies compare it to La Vie Est Belle and Coco Mademoiselle, but I don't get that. To my nose Premiere Luxe is softer and drier than both, not as sweet as LVEB and not as sharp as CCM, just very different all in all.

The Premiere Luxe line was very successful for Avon, all its perfumes, both men's and women's, were really good. The series has been gradually discontinued for several years and today no Premiere Luxe fragrance appears in catalogues, which is a pity. The first women's version of this line is primarily expressive white flowers surrounded by a large amount of sweets. At the beginning we have a sour accent of currant juice, which gradually becomes saccharified. Then there are those intoxicating white flowers with an equally pronounced sweet praline. At the end, patchouli with sandalwood stands out. The whole thing is nicely illuminated with light citrus fruits. The parameters are very specific for Avon. 8 hours on the skin is no problem for Premiere Luxe and the projection is quite loud and noticeable even after a few hours. The column-shaped bottle and the golden color are spot on. The scent may not be a miracle, but it is quite elegant, pretty and radiant. It is clearly similar to Possess from Oriflame. Both compositions have a similar density and general atmosphere, except that in Possess we have pineapple instead of blackcurrant. 7/10

I got to sample this little gem thanks to the generous Fragrantican commenting under me. Thanks, Antonia! This opens very, very tart, with a blast of grapefruit, blackcurrant (which I perceive as cassis) and something chemical which irritates my throat for a few seconds. After that, it immediately starts warming up and the flowers and especially the praline and the patchouli come to play. Here is where I can agree with those who say this smells like Coco Mademoiselle. I had the exact same impression: tartness from the citrus, earthy crispness from the patchouli + an added dose of sweetness from the chocolate. Basically, it smells like a Mademoiselle Praline to me, of course, not as refined, because when I smell it up close, it kind of keeps that harsh chemical quality through and through. The sillage and longevity are quite glorious for the price. In case you like this kind of sparkly, but not citrus perfumes which have a clear and crisp, yet somehow round quality to them and you're on a budget, I highly advise you to give this a try.

This has been languishing in a dark drawer for a couple of years and to be honest I don't remember purchasing it or ever trying it(!!), but I've fallen in love with this fragrance over the last couple of weeks. It's a thick, creamy white floral fragrance, essentially, with a prominent jasmine note, but with a juicy sweetness from the blackcurrant and lots of sandalwood in the drydown. I don't get praline from this at all, more a vanilla base note that adds sweetness. I can sort of see the comparisons to LVEB, but I find that one choking, whereas this has more of an easy charm, so I wouldn't overstate that resemblance. This has more in common with Sofia Vergara's lovely signature, I think, although that features plum rather than blackcurrant. All in all, a very versatile fragrance that perks you up when you put it on and makes you feel like you're 'wearing perfume'. I've been wearing it to work this week as the days get cooler, but I could definitely wear this on a night out, too.

I just got this today, and have yet to wear it, but I have spritzed it on a tester card. It is a pretty strong white floral. Hopefully when I wear it, that doesn't overpower everything else. I was expecting the bottle to be prettier. It looks so classy in the pictures, but in person, it's a little cheap looking. I'd like to try the flanker of this, with the rose gold coloring too. I had to order this off ebay, all the way from Poland. I hate that Avon has perfumes that they don't offer here, in America! Hello, you are on American company, how is that fair?! Will update after I've worn it. Update: I tried in on my wrist, and it's just way, way too strong in the white floral department for me to really enjoy. I was hoping the reviews that stated it was similar in vibe to La Vie Est Belle were true, but on me, not so much. I may give it one more try later, but for now it's a definite no.
