Rare Flowers Night Orchid

>Immediately on my skin: smell soft pink pepper with sweet strong orange (although until I read the ingredients I thought I smelled peach compote). >After a few seconds: smell a surprisingly sweet grapefruit (the scent takes on a mysterious and veiled tone) >After 2 minutes: smell bergamot/citrus aroma, and freesia (surprisingly refreshing note of joy) >After 5 minutes: smell gardenia, jasmine, orchid (gently sweet smelling, feminine note, a touch of mystery returns) >After 10 minutes: smell lily of the valley, and sandalwood (if I sprayed too much in a closed room, it's a bit of an intense headache at this point) >After 15 minutes and more: cashmere, cedar wood (like smelling a sweater in a log cabin :-) ), and the smell of gardenia and jasmine comes back again (the headache is gone, a slightly sweet, slightly spicy smell remains)

I think it's a very cosy, feminine perfume. The Black Orchid and Gardenia notes are very striking at first glance, then it dries down to a very soft, cashmere smell. It reminds me a scene of a garden with big white flowers at night. Good price as well. I grew on it and now consider buying it again!

This is one of my favorite perfumes. Yes, it is more for the night, but I disagree it's for mature ladies. Personally I think it is unisex. I like floral heavy perfumes so it became my one of favorites.

I smell a lot of pink pepper, is a clean scent. I feel like this is a versatile perfume, can be perceived as dark too although it smells clean. The freesia, lily of the valley and orchid are strong in this, i guess it s because of the strong freesia that makes me not put this perfume in my "favourites" list. I bought the 10ml bottle and even though is a nice smelling perfume, i wouldn't buy the 50ml bottle. I feel this scent is for more mature ladies. Careful when choosing this because you can end up in the situation where the perfume wears you

I think this is lovely. A pastel purple start, fluffy tropical florals resting on cashmere. It is a clean, pure smell, soft and feminine. Lovely in the evenings as a scent to drift through a summer sunset with. I agree there is nothing dark or mysterious about it as the name would suggest, but it does wear well in a cuddle-me cozy sort of way. Fills the room, lingers for hours and hours simply hanging in the air! EDP strength for sure.

The name is really fitting for this fragrance. I think this can be worn all year long and it is signature fragrance worthy because it's quite different but still good and the orchid is nice and clean. I feel a little bit of spiciness too, but in a good way.

I think Avon should reconsider where they source their pink pepper note. It comes as quite harsh and synthetic. However if you wait it out you are left with an elegant woodsy floral. But I’m really disappointed with most Avon releases this last decade. They are churning lots of perfumes with no character, poor performance and very generic. The original rare line (jewel inspired) was better than this rare flower line. There’s nothing rare or unique about it, nothing midnight not to mention orchid like. A very abstract but still wearable floral.

Not impressed by this one. Very generic and rather cheap smelling. Most Avon perfumes these days are not impressive to say the least. The quality has gone down and price has gone up. The classics that remain are watered down whispers of what they used to be. It's a real shame as Avon delivered some beautiful fragrances at working class prices back in the day.

I feel like I'm supposed to dislike this because it was a bit generic. "Rare Flowers" is a pleasant scent that reminded me of something an aunt would wear. It's a strong floral but not headache-inducing. It is not special, but it's easy to wear. Personally, I find the scent to be interchangeable.

I don't like this ...😋is floral , no sweet at all perfume, for more mature ladies 50- 60 old. Thank God i get only the mini 10 ml, and not the full size bottle

Although I like stronger, more 'for mature woman' scents, this one is not quite my jam. It doesn't smell mature, but dusty. It really gives off the vibe of an older lady, living in a colder, foggy town, smoking her cigar in a pub somewhere, and the room is filled with smoke and heaviness. I can see myself using it combined with something more powdery or even floral. On its own, I find it too overbearing and unpleasant, which is such a shame - the bottle is wonderfully designed, the color is beautiful, but the smell itself definitely has nothing to do with the perfume's name. I think people who loved Armani Code/Armani Code Ultimate would enjoy this one.

Not a rare night flower, more of a common daytime flower. This is floral, fresh, a little powdery, with a citrus undertone and more gardenia than orchid. It's a little bit sharp, too, maybe due to the cedar and pink pepper. It's not terrible, but it makes me think of functional perfumery instead of fine fragrances, I have smelled similar scent profiles in many products from the supermarket or drugstore. I got this sample as an extra with my order and wouldn't have picked it on my own, so take my review with a grain of salt, but I'll definitely pass on this.

This is a synthetic conjunction of flowers. Something that I would never wear. Besides the notes of orchid, magnolia, freesia and jasmine, there is a weird bad note, like blue cheese. I don't think it's pink pepper or cashmere wood, because I usually like them. Or, maybe Avon just did not succeed the full accomplishment of these notes. I respect fragrances, but this is just unbearable to my nose. It smells cheap, very chemical and the bad note keeps lingering even after I wash it off. I wouldn't recommend blind buying this.

this opens with grapefruit, gardenia and orchid, but something here smells almost fruity like plum or plum blossom. the cashmere wood is adding an almost fabric-like smell. it's airy and transparent. it's citrusy-sour but also sweet. it's too sweet for me personally, but i could see a lot of people liking this.

I realised I hate how avon does the pink pepper note. Or maybe I just hate that note in general... Something sickly sweet is in this and I just can't stand it.

Nothing rare, no orchid, no flowers. Just a very generic smell that lasts 15 minutes. Like most new releases from Avon, and not only, unfortunately. Prices are up, quality is down. The old classic perfumes are being watered down to something vaguely resembling the original perfume. The new releases are poorly performing, boring, and generic - this is what happens when you try to please everyone. Skip.

Another freshly baked Avon perfume, I've been wearing it for a couple of hours and I have to say that it's not bad, excellent for autumn/winter, I wear it pleasantly even though I love other types of perfumes more, a fruity oriental where the sweetness of gardenia and the nocturnal sumptuousness of the orchid dominate... I would say that they are the absolute queens of this captivating perfume, feeling it on my wrist I seem to remember another Avon perfume worn many years ago, Outspoken by Fergie, there perhaps it was a little more focused on the leather in the finish, but I assure you that I find a lot of similarity between the two, I also used that one for the evening, I like it a lot, every now and then I willingly "distract" myself from my usual fresh/fruity ones, Too bad the longevity isn't very high, but I can overlook that!

Lovely one from Avon - I have a good 12 dabbers and this is one of the ones that stood out to me as niche quality. Soft creamy gardenia (not the old school vibe you often get from this note) and good sandalwood with a bright and a little citrussy floral, (guessing that is orchid interpretation) the perfect amount of sweetness (just a touch). Never chemical as avons aren't but some can be a bit more commercial / sweet than I like them to be - not this one. Longevity isn't great but this is a mini dabber might be better sprayed on. Top one from Avon!

I totally agree with ingeborgbachma regarding this ARFNO. I expected a rich dark perfume, but this rather a lightweight clean perfume. Mesmerize Black has more depth to it the Night Orchid. It IS a pleasant,clean scent that I will wear but there is sadly nothing special about it. There is a Far Away Glamour being delivered this week, its presented in a black bottle and I'm hoping that this will have depth to it. I'm not an Avon rep, my friend is, and as she allergic to perfume, I try out all the new releases and give her feedback. 😁

I haven't tried this fragrance yet - but based on these reviews -- the people who did not like this fragrance should try these Avon fragrances...these others may blend better with your individual chemistry. 1.). Avon Velvet -- 2.). Imari Elixir -- 3.). Imari Seductive --

It ́s a very feminine and elegance daily perfume. A true compliment catcher when I wear it in the office. Smells like a big bouquet of different flowers, juicy fruits and soft sandalwood. Night Orchid is now my new favourite of Avon perfumes instead of Treselle!

I am surprised to really like this. Smells like hair dye or freshly died hair but that's in a good way. If you ever happened to use a hair product which smelled so good you wanted it to be a perfume well here it is.

Im on my second bottle, this smells georgeous.
