Scent Essence - Sparkly Citrus

I'm a man and I got this one because I like mandarin top notes, I'm starting to look for cheap freshies for the coming warmer weather and I thought it'd be unisex. Well, the price was great at £4,the mandarin is present and lovely as is the citrus blossom which I interpret as a powdery orange. It's not unisex and so this won't suit me. I have no fear of wearing fragrances marketed at the ladies (I have many) but the freesia in this is too feminine for my personal taste. The musk too is not at all masculine when used in this. Such a shame because I was hoping for a success like I had with Elizabeth Arden Green Tea last summer. It's not all bad news, though. I sprayed a bit on my mom when I visited and she loved it. It's a nice, pleasant scent that'd turn my head when worn by someone else but it's not for me to wear but I did give it a good going in all fairness over a couple of days. It lasts pretty good on me at five hours. I don't get good longevity with many fragrances but paradoxically I get get quite good performance from one's not deemed to be long lasting. The wonders of skin chemistry and suchlike, I guess.

Got it just recently. I agree that it is amazingly fresh. It's citrus scent overload only in a positive way. Sweet fresia keeps the explosion of citrus scents under control. Apart from that, I find nothing floral about it. It doesn't last long, unfortunately, and sillage is quite moderate but I really like to wear this perfume in early mornings- it wakes you up but doesn't make you feel dizzy. I agree that it resembles Aqua di Gio and some might label it masculine or unisex but, that's what citrus scents are- universally fresh. Love the simplicity of the bottle.

I am wearing this today on account of the heat and that I know this is a refreshing scent to wear. I do feel super fresh when I spray this. The grapefruit notes are prevalent on me and, ok, it doesn't have fantastic longevity but it is inexpensive and therefore I feel I can use liberally. I quite enjoy Avon's Scent Essence range, they are basic workaday scents which can be used anytime, anywhere and are pleasing. This one is my second favourite, just behind Velvet Amber which is gorgeous.

This fragrance was a gift from my mum. I am totaly in love with citrus frags, so I love this one. Bottle is nice, minimalistic and great size for carrying in a bag. Citrus smell is strong, nicely set with florals. Its not really long lasting, but I think it would be great one for hot summer, its really fresh.

This fragrance has such a beautiful sweet citrus scent, not like a cleaning agent but reminding me of the lime flavoured candy we always ate as kids. It does have a cheap smell in my opinion, just because of the lack of variety I can recognize.

Amazingly beautiful for summer, fresh, citrussy and a bit masculine aftrer a while, which is not bad in hot temperatures, but unfortunately not long lasting at all!:(

Bitterly fresh, the strong lemony notes make it a nice summery, slightly masculine smell. Almost smells like an aerosol deodorant.

There are some cheap fragrances that smell like a million bucks. And then there's sparkly citrus. It smells even cheaper than it is. Try outspoken fresh,still avon, if you want something for summer day-time.

On first inspection, the design of the bottle lived up to its adverts, its simplistic and minimal yet elegant. I appreciate that for once, the results match/outweigh my expectations. As for the juice, I already had perfume on so i sprayed it on my colleague, and the first thought that came to mind was lemon scented dish washing liquid. It smells fresh, it smells clean, soapy and cheerful. It sort of took me back to when I was a child and each of us kids had kitchen duty behind the sink. I agree though with longevity, after 2 hours I barely smelt anything on my colleague, but I will try this on myself when the weather is warmer.

I'm reviewing this again because it's decided to behave differently on me. Or my nose has improved? Who nose? Oh never mind, anyway, it has actually lasted at least four hours on me today whereas I previously dismissed it as disappearing altogether in half an hour. There's no orange in this that I can pick out. The intial blast for maybe 15 mins is just very lemony bergamot and then it becomes mild woody floral musk. Still slightly citrusy if you sniff hard. Cheap and cheerful x

Recently bought it. Enjoyable. Not very long lasting, but very refreshing for everyday use. Citrus notes are bursting out of it.

Summer love of this past year :) Needs to be applied few times a day. Bottle design is handy and suits the scent.
