Fragrance -Segno Avon Bottle from - 2018 This is the scent of a sophisticated,yet playful gentleman. Segno opens on my skin with an elegant,boozy,peppery and lemony vetiver laying on top of a cozy and slightly sweet amber. During mid development,amber becomes stronger with a nice touch of a bit green bouquet of flowers with dominant lavender. This all leads into a deep,woody,ambery and musky base with a wisper of patchouli. It has some similarities to The One for Men Edp by Dolce&Gabbana,but Segno is in a completely different ball park. "Quality/Cost Ratio" is high and the performance is nice. Longevity - 8/10(8+ hours) Silage/Projection - 7,5/10(moderate projection and silage for the first 1-2 hours,than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent's evolution) Weather - For more or less any time of year.I personally wouldn't wear this on a really cold winter days and on a really hot summer days. Age - 28+ Compliments(low-medium-high) - medium to high Scent - 8/10 Main notes according to me - amber,vetiver,whisky,pepper,lavender. The drydown is deep,woody,ambery and musky and I get some -amber,woodiness,vetiver and patchouli. Emotions - sophisticated, yet playful gentleman,classy, elegant. Occasion -perfect for special occasions,nights out,formal and semi-formal events. If you like vetiver,great for signature scent.

Definitely the exception to the rule Segno by Avon is a sexy and mature fragrance to my nose the vetiver and patchouli are the main players even though its not listed I get a vanilla note reminds me of suavage elixir.m, I get easily get 7-9 hours of performance and the scent bubble is moderate to an arms length great performer and great scent best of all it won’t hurt your wallet and can be used all year round though it shines better i the fall and winter seasons 8/10 in my book 🤘🏻

Honestly, such an underrated fragrance. Smells peppery and very smooth. Moderate longevity, sillage and projection but the scent itself is just so clean and even slightly classy/sophisticated smelling to me. You cannot go wrong with this fragrance at all considering the price. Smell: 4/5 Performance: 3.5/5 Value for money: 5/5🌟

Avon has left in me a Sign,with this fragrance!A very understated union of oils that envelop your senses in a serious masculinity!A long drink made of whiskey with a peel of lemon,drunk on a sofa that still reeks of genuine leather,very austere and pretty smoky after a while!One of the best of the new Avon skin!

I have tried a lot avon fragrances and most are so unimpressive.This however is such a banger for the price. A lot of people mention dior sauvage, this is a lot better imo. Creamier and more interesting. Long lasting with a nice projection. 10/10.

Smells classy, manly, seductive and mysterious. Smells very close to Sauvage Elixir, tested side by side they smell 70% close. Also dirt cheap with a very good performance.

Very close to Sauvage Elixir, Segno was released back in 2018 while Elixir released in 2021, I guess Dior was inspired by Segno while creating Elixir, good job avon 👍

What a nice surprise,this fragrance is totally sophisticated, one of the best Avon releases (so far). Sadly very underrated just because is an Avon product.

Another gem from Avon Very nice, deep warm and sophisticated. It opens with a spicy peppery fruit aroma, more like a pot of mixed fruit jam than the lemon that's meant to be there. I don't get the whisky at all, which is odd because others have mentioned it. The lavender is briefly there as a softener to that initial pepper before melting away after a few minutes. It then becomes what it is, warm amber elegance. I looked up Ambertonic (another new one to me) and realised that this is the backbone of Segno - deep dry amber-woody with sweet, musky, spicy and powdery undertones. This is what you get hour after hour. I'd put some on after being in the shower last night, this morning, over 11 hours later it was still there. I've put some more on and through the course of the day it keeps pulsing out that deep rich amber aroma. Deep sniffs after about 4 or 5 hours and I can just about pick out that rich fruity opening. Sillage is moderate. Very nice indeed, not quite an 'I Love It' but a high like. For the price you've no excuse not to give it a go.

Opening is 80% like Sauvage edp because of the pepper, I assume but it chages in the drydown where the vetiver on segno pops more and becomes more woody which kinda reminds me of encre noir but with spices and as janalednova said "chocolate" . Sauvage edp's drydown retains the lavander,citrusness and the slight sweetness from the vanilla which makes it has this clean fresh smell for obvious reasons and it gets better after you let it sit for a bit. Basically, Segno is Sauvage if Sauvage wasn't a blue fragrance. Unrelated note: I really like this smell on a rainy weather. Edit:I was decanting my Nautica Voyage to a 1ML spray vial and I was wondering what if I mixed a bit of segno to it. I basically add 2/5 of the vial filled with with segno, then the fill it up with nautica voyage and I find that the drydown is 75% like Sauvage edp. Nautica put that fresh aspect of the Sauvage's drydown. It especially lifts up the lavander notes. So, if you wanna watered down down Sauvage, then I guess you just add Nautica voyage to it,lmao

A few things to point out: 1: I don't know if i'm partially affected by anosmia, but there is NO leather at all in here, nor suede, nor anything. 2: At the end of the day, if you're looking for a leather / spice / booze, you'll be dissapointed with this. Anyway, i cannot say the ingredients are bad, and the bottle looks pretty nice. In my opinion, this is a booze, fresh spice, citrus, rose and vetiver fragrance. I get the bright citruses in the opening, aromatic black pepper and rose nuances coming from the geranium join in, and the base is pretty much a dynamic, modern wood base with ambertonic (I'm guessing it's an ambroxan - forward molecule) with the amazing quality haitian vetiver and patchouli in the base. All of the ingredients are of excellent quality. I thought of selling this several times, but never did it, and even when i don't really enjoy blue fragrances, i do like this one more than pretty much all of them. As a bottom line, great banger for the price

Finally I find a tester today and tried it, now I can compare between the 3 fragrances that I have tried from this line. Segno original : It is an interesting spicy woody fragrance with a little sweetness compared to segno success which is more of a woody aromatic fragrance. Segno original is better for me than segno success(check my review on segno success for more details about it) , because the opening of segno success seems to me harsh and synthetic. As for segno impact :I find it also better than segno success, and it is a fougere aromatic woody fragrance (check my review on segno impact for more e details about it) I think that segno impact is the longest lasting of the three. By the way, segno original reminds me of elite gentleman quest by avon(but it is less citrusy than gentleman quest), (check my review on gentleman quest). Also There is no similarity between segno original and Sauvage elixir (I do wonder from reviewers claiming a similarity).

Segno! Done by IFF perfumer Yves Cassar, it features ingredients of thy brand. I think the construction is quite simple but really nice either way. In my opinion, this leans much more into the Yves Rocher' Cuir Vetiver or Terre D'Hermes side of things, with the addition of the whisky note giving it a slight boozy edge. As it opens, i find it quite citrus - forward and aldehydic due to the liquor edge. Then, we get to the mid which feels whisky and rose / geranium - forward, and the base is pretty much dominated by the vetiver and ambroxan (Ambertonic is similar to ambroxan but they just have different market names) until it dies down. The potency / performance is decent IMO. Good for office wear and spring - summer (Not dog days though) dating and stuff.

Avon Segno EDP is a nice addition to my fragrance wardrobe, to my nose i smell the citrus note mixed with lavender, some “whisky” undertone and the woody notes. Smells classy, elegante and manly. Perfect for a formal date, night out, office meetings. Something more mature even kind of casual in a formal way. Projection and longevity are pretty good, love the whole presentation, the bottle design (large bottle) is really eye catching, i just love it. Well done Avon! 👏

Whiskey malt is listed in very Avon brochure I have seen since this EDP was released. Vetiver, Whiskey malt, Oak. Dior Sauvage??? Are you serious, guys!?? Not even this direction.

To my nose its a trio of woods, lavender and whiskey. Performance is all over the place, sometimes 4hours sometimes 8, may be because of the extremely bad atomiser :D

I smell liquer, wood and chocolate and I like the combination.

Long-lasting all day long, noticeable for 7-8 hours, then it settles very close to the skin, but still leaves some trace. For a product costing several dozen zlotys, it is very good. As for the composition itself, Segno is a nice scent with a noticeable whiskey accord, it brings to mind several more expensive mainstream fragrances. It's nice, but quite flat, not much is happening here, it's monotonous. For me, this fragrance is very much associated with Black Suede Intense the similarity is too striking. It is surprising that the brand releases almost identically scented waters. But this is not the first time Avon has used such a practice. Some time ago, the offer included Premiere Luxe Oud and Classic fragrances, which were also very similar to each other. Unfortunately, Avon withdrew the "better" one Classic, PL Oud is more watered down. To sum up, Segno, although it doesn't surprise me or particularly captivate me, is quite good, and if someone likes Black Suede Intense, they will be satisfied. There is something of Dior's Sauvage in it. 7/10

I can definitely get whiskeyish vibes and definitely get strong vetiver, also i feel a bit of citrus too (probably from lemon). Well for an avon fragrance its really impressive. It reminds me of 212 VIP men totally. Even if it has a nice whiskey smell, there is a really strong vetiver on this one and i dont like it much. Longetivity is better than avarage avon fragrance but it is not really good in my opinion (somewhere between moderate and good). Sillage also is maybe a little bit more compared to your avarage fragrance. TLDR: Realistic Whiskey smell like 212 VIP Men in darker direction, also includes strong vetiver. Not my taste.
