Something Amazing

I took the plunge and ordered all four of the new "Stories" perfumes from Avon. I have to say that I'm pleased overall. They are each pleasant scents, in cute little bottles, for only $10 apiece. I'm wearing this one today and it is such a clean, simple, and enjoyable scent. Plus it has honeysuckle in it, and I'm a total junkie for honeysuckle. The note I pick up first, and it continues throughout, is the blonde cedar. I never knew I was a cedar lover, but apparently I am. It's the first note I get and the one that sticks around all the way through the dry down. I do pick up some mild fruity scent, which I imagine is the pomelo mixed with the honeysuckle. I admit I was hoping for more honeysuckle dominance in this one, but never got it. My only real gripes about this cute perfume is it's incredibly poor sillage, and it's non-existant longevity. It becomes only a skin scent on me within the first hour. Would I recommend it? Yes, for those who want to enjoy the comforting scent on their own skin and don't want others to noticing they are wearing perfume. Personally, I think I'm primarily going tot wear this one to bed. Comforting for me, and it shouldn't bother my husband who hates perfumes.

Got a couple from this line on a lark, and I rather like this one! It's more "girly" and "sneezy" than I generally prefer, but sometimes one wants to have a little fun. A good scent to spritz on after showering as a pick-me-up on a quiet day.

As a pre-cursor, I need to say that I rarely like citrus heavy scents similar to CKOne. This scent is just ok, starting with the pomelo and a little honeysuckle anchored with the blonde cedar, very linear. The biggest problem with Something Amazing is how weak it is. I sprayed it a half-hour ago and it doesn't register unless I put my arm up to my face and I have to sniff - hard. I blind-bought three out of four of the Avon Stories - Cloud Nine, Work Your Magic and Something Amazing and each is a mild skin scent with little longevity. This one is my least favorite of the three.
