Tasha

My dear mother used to keep this one on her dresser top—among many other fragrances in her collection—during its production way back in the day. Avon's Tasha was one of the first perfumes she would spray my pulse points with after my childhood baths, and I loved it so much. I cried when Avon discontinued Tasha. I was emotionally distraught. Although we had several bottles, including a few unopened, I knew, with time, those would run out, and then what would we do? No more Tasha?! NO!!! It was a beautiful aldehyde/chypre with base notes of jasmine, sandalwood, and musk that came alive wonderfully on me - and I will never forget it. I loved Tasha, and I miss it.

This is uber fresh is there any reason I should be smelling fresh lemon as the first note? Because I do. Lovely scent. I don't know what type of aldehydes are in this but they are fabulous! After a few minutes Tasha becomes devine as the florals musk and wood notes enter in. I would have never seen this coming just from sniffing the bottle! It's like somthing an angel might wear! It's simple yet I'm finding it an enlightening experiance! Wow.

This begins as a fresh, clean ray of sunshine. Clouds of flowers float by, sweet in that perfect way that takes nothing from the freshness. This is pretty, a girl in summer picking flowers in the park. A carefree beauty that doesn’t have to try too hard.

An unforgettable classic, sweet but not pushy, easy to wear. Very feminine and pleasant. Soft but lasts a long time, a pretty and timeless aldehydic floral.

A lovely very floral and fresh perfume. Not soft it's quite prominent. Longtivity and projection moderate to above moderate. Like it very much.

Have loved Tasha since it first came out when I was a youngster. My all time favorite. Has a classic scent that is clean and light.

Oh Tasha! I just stumbled upon the bottle while checking for some new releases on Avon's page and I couldn't help but writing about it... I used to purchase it in the days as it was a dead ringer of another beauty I used to wear in my early teens: Lentheric Panache. A clean and delicate fragrance, hard to dislike. Since both have been discontinued, I suggest for those looking for an alternative to try Boss ma vie which is not identical, but definitely in the same vein.

I found what I'm pretty sure was a Tasha re-issue--(The label on the bottle read "1979") in the local thrift shop about a decade ago--Instant love!! Bright--clean aldehydes--soft spring florals in the heart--warm--woody dry down--and NO FRUIT AT ALL!! Old school quiet femininity!!

Back in the 1980's when I was an Avon rep, my customer base consisted of two camps; my college friends and my older relatives. My college friends bought Tasha & Odyssey and my elder relatives Timeless and Moonwind. I wore any if not all the fragrances including the newer scents Louis Ferauds Jour de Feraud and Fantasque. Tasha was a beautiful fragrance a full bodied sweet Rose, sparkling aldehydes, woody and powdery in the drydown. I think the magic happened in the middle and powdery drydown.One of Avons best of the 1980s. i really wish Avon would consider bring out sets of perfumes, for decade, showcasing the best scents of each decade.I'm already imaging what would be in the boxes.i

I got a little bottle of Tasha in an owl for my collection. It's a pretty nice perfume besides coming in a cute bottle. I have been wearing it for fun. It has kind of a woody smell that I like. I recently acquired a box of vintage drug store perfumes from Ebay. There was a bottle of Aviance from the 70s. I noticed that Tasha and Aviance were similar. I know Avon fragrances were sometimes similar to other popular fragrances. I remember Candid was similar to Jontue. It was a good marketing plan for Avon to follow the trends with similar perfumes. Not to mention the bottles are so much fun to collect. Everybody had an Avon bottle in their bathroom back in the day.

My parents are systematically throwing stuff out at the moment, going through the entire house (it was a little bit hoardy..) n found a large bottle of this. No idea what year but it's got to be 25-30 years old? It's very very strong. One spray filled the room. A sort of creamy soapy floral. I definitely get hyacinth. Really astonishingly strong. Don't know what it smelled like at the time, if it has changed, but it does not smell off. I would like to know what others recall of this at the time.

This scent makes me think in a better Dior Rose N'Roses , and Mujercitas cologne that I used to have in my childhood. I dont know why this aldehyde is so smoky. I smell the skin of people that smoke ...

Sweet, airy, floral charming.... I notice the hyacinth quite strongly. A summer bouquet, a young woman wearing a daisy chain, a field of flowers lit by sunshine. Quite difficult to dislike. :)
