Tempest

Versatile and persistent- This fragrance never quite gives up. It has a fresh, masculine blast upon first opening. Powerful and strong, it projects so well. No matter how hot the weather, or the physical activities you do, it never leaves your side (I love to wear this scent while working out, because even though I'm sweating, it actually restores a fresh/clean atmosphere lol) The citrus chords are greatly apparent and the cinnamon and woodsy notes are strangely complementary. It gives you a revitalizing feeling. It has a sexy aroma and a darker, more delicious drydown. It starts off potent and fierce, then gradually ascends into a more temperate attitude. This scent actually somewhat resembles a Tempest. It has a crisp and energizing potency, which is probably why I enjoy wearing it for physical activities. Perfect for daily use. All things considered, very nice scent. Becoming increasingly rare now days, having been discontinued for over a decade. Certainly worth the money if you can get a good price for it. The bottle is creative and pretty as a side note. Overall rating: 8/10

Wow...Just looked this up on EBay, pretty much criminal what’s going on there. Strange thing is, I can’t for the life of me come up with an existing match for this one. I remember it had a sweetness to it, while still being bright to start and then more dry Vetiver and wood at its base dry down. The sweet aspect remained along with the Yuzu. I have a House of Nicolai Yuzu, but it’s not the same as this one. I am going to see if I can’t find a smells like comparison I know, because despite my large collection, this has no immediate match for me??

My memory of this...Bright citrus opening, big on the Yuzu making it unique at the time. Spicy mid notes, and a nice soft citrus base with woods. This was a pretty nice AVON offering in the late 90’s. definitely in line with the clean scents of the period. I remember going through this one pretty quickly as it was a favourite for sure.
