True Gent Blue

I love the smell of coconut. I searched the note on Fragrantica and True Gent Blue was in the results. Intrigued, I did an internet search for the fragrance. I found a new bottle on ebay for $10.49 with free shipping and being so inexpensive, I couldn't resist buying one. For a ten dollar fragrance, this is incredible! As soon as I sprayed this I could detect a mild sweetness, paired with a creamy and watery coconut. Many times a coconut based fragrance will smell figgy to me or I see fig in a fragrance and it smells of coconut. To my nose, this one smells more of coconut with a very slight touch of fig. It seems like a light wearing cologne, but for such a low price I can spray a bit more and it's just fine for a summer day. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and will wear this a lot more than many of my expensive fragrances.

Avon has a few hidden gems that are worth owning, and one of them is True Gent Blue. While it could be considered a bit generic, it's well-blended, has good longevity, and smells great. If you work indoors, this could be an all-year scent, and a three-season scent if you work outside. It's a pleasant surprise for around $10, and I highly recommend giving this beauty a sniff.

The best twelve dollars I've ever spent. Reminds me a little of Cool Water intense just a little less intense, smells kinda like bubble gum.

This was a pleasant surprise. I blind bought it because the price on line was so good. It's nothing super innovative or ground-breaking, but it is the kind of pleasant everyday scent suitable for all-year-round wear, except maybe in the coldest winter. The structure is simple--only three notes listed-- but they are very nicely balanced.
