Wink

This was the very first perfume I ever owned! I got it as a Christmas present when i was 10 years old, in 2004. I never really wore it much at the time, as i never really cared for perfumes (i was much more into makeup instead) , so i still the original bottle, almost full! I threw out most of my old perfumes years ago but for some reason, hung onto this one. Maybe because it smells quite unlike anything else i can think of? It opens with a sharp burst of lemon and raspberry, with woody undertones that give off a strange but comforting warmth. This scent reminds of Christmas and i wear it seasonally. I've never tested it in summer, even though it's a summer fragrance. To me the warmth gives off a subtle spiciness, like hot boiled sweets, but not too sugary. Sadly discontinued, but bottles pop up every now and again on ebay for quite reasonable prices. A low-sileage skin scent with moderate longevity.

It is a light, fresh, bit sweet carefree summer perfume. The topnotes are very nice, can smell the berries very well for long time. For the middle notes it is different, nice but very soft, sometimes longlasting somethimes not, has to do with my skin, nose, I guess. At the woody musk base it is mostly gone all to fast. Anna Sui Secret Wish is for the middle notes almost the same at my skin, Wink is just a littel bit sweeter. Have had both on at the same time. Wink starts sweeter at the topnotes too as the Secret Wish.

Wink is one of the most tart fragrances I’ve ever tried, and I LOVE it! I am shocked to see there is no lemon listed here. There is a huge dose of tart sweet citrus for me, plus sweet berries. Although there is a lot of sweetness here, the tartness and floral notes are enough to keep it from being too heavy. This is a fun, uplifting summer scent, a favorite of mine. Silly Avon. I think a lot of people would buy this if only Avon would release it again.

That perfume was my moms. She was at her early 30s then. She may have found it too "girly" for her. So she used to let us(me and my little sister) to spray only 2 sprays at special times. But that was my first real perfume. Smell is still in my memories. Sweet,energetic and magical berries. It was so fresh and delicious. Nowadays i'm considering about buying it again from online thrift shop.But i'm not sure because of the age of the perfume.

Some of you know I am really into Avon perfumes lately! :-) And I like it extra for being such an OLD house too! One of the perfumes that really got me going into Avon, besides all the perfumes SOPHI gifted me, was WINK that was a gift from Amaychan! I really love Avon, today SOPHI gifted me some gorgeous vintages! One of them being Surrender, I mean, need I say more..? I surrendered for sure!
