Wink

This was the very first perfume I ever owned! I got it as a Christmas present when i was 10 years old, in 2004. I never really wore it much at the time, as i never really cared for perfumes (i was much more into makeup instead) , so i still the original bottle, almost full! I threw out most of my old perfumes years ago but for some reason, hung onto this one. Maybe because it smells quite unlike anything else i can think of? It opens with a sharp burst of lemon and raspberry, with woody undertones that give off a strange but comforting warmth. This scent reminds of Christmas and i wear it seasonally. I've never tested it in summer, even though it's a summer fragrance. To me the warmth gives off a subtle spiciness, like hot boiled sweets, but not too sugary. Sadly discontinued, but bottles pop up every now and again on ebay for quite reasonable prices. A low-sileage skin scent with moderate longevity.

It is a light, fresh, bit sweet carefree summer perfume. The topnotes are very nice, can smell the berries very well for long time. For the middle notes it is different, nice but very soft, sometimes longlasting somethimes not, has to do with my skin, nose, I guess. At the woody musk base it is mostly gone all to fast. Anna Sui Secret Wish is for the middle notes almost the same at my skin, Wink is just a littel bit sweeter. Have had both on at the same time. Wink starts sweeter at the topnotes too as the Secret Wish.

Wink is one of the most tart fragrances I’ve ever tried, and I LOVE it! I am shocked to see there is no lemon listed here. There is a huge dose of tart sweet citrus for me, plus sweet berries. Although there is a lot of sweetness here, the tartness and floral notes are enough to keep it from being too heavy. This is a fun, uplifting summer scent, a favorite of mine. Silly Avon. I think a lot of people would buy this if only Avon would release it again.

That perfume was my moms. She was at her early 30s then. She may have found it too "girly" for her. So she used to let us(me and my little sister) to spray only 2 sprays at special times. But that was my first real perfume. Smell is still in my memories. Sweet,energetic and magical berries. It was so fresh and delicious. Nowadays i'm considering about buying it again from online thrift shop.But i'm not sure because of the age of the perfume.

Some of you know I am really into Avon perfumes lately! :-) And I like it extra for being such an OLD house too! One of the perfumes that really got me going into Avon, besides all the perfumes SOPHI gifted me, was WINK that was a gift from Amaychan! I really love Avon, today SOPHI gifted me some gorgeous vintages! One of them being Surrender, I mean, need I say more..? I surrendered for sure!

what beautifull memories this perfume was gorgeous it smeelled like raspberry and black currant indeed with some citrus notes that makes u happy. So beautifull and at the end i smelled like a vanilla cake so beautifull when i was 16 years old . i remebered i got wery upset when this perfumed was dicontinued because it was my signature scent then now i got in love from another ones

My very first perfume. My mom bought it for me when I was in 7th grade. Everyone knew when I was walking down the hallways because of how this particular perfume smelled on me. The citrus notes combined with the sweetness of the other notes made me love it. When it got discontinued, the closest thing I found to it was ESCADA's moon sparkle..

I remember having this years ago and I really liked it,it’s a very berry type of scent and it reminded me of fresh blueberries,I thought it was one of Avon’s best perfumes and I am sad that it’s no longer available because I would definitely repurchase this if Avon were to bring it back and if they do hopefully it’s the same formula.

I LOVE this scent. It makes me feel happy when I smell it. It is a pity that it doesn't have the staying power. It is now a discontinued scent so I'm grateful for the little bit of happiness in a bottle I still have.

This was my first perfume and I still remember how good it smell, I love it. I was trying to find this perfume so bad. Is so sad that avon discontinued but I was so lucky that I found it on Ebay, I love it!

This is my new love- sadly we will soon part, because I don't have so much left. 'Till I run out of it I'll be searching for something that can replace it, but I see already how hard job this will be.

My mother was going through her old stuff awhile back and she found this. It smells really nice and the bottle is basically full - it probably has only be used a few times so I'm happy.

Amaya gifted me a bottle of this perfume and I really love it!! It is a strong perfume, but not in your face. It has good staying power too! Fruity and jummy! Thank you Amaya!! Action

it's a fruity perfume. i used to have it. a lovely bottle. i wish i can have another bottle of this perfume again..

I agree with all the ladies below asking Avon to "Bring Back WINK !!" .,,,,,Oh yes,,,,,,,1 of the best Avons in my opinion. A quick check of ebay reveals that a 50ml bottle is anything up to £40 /£50 ( if you want to pay the buy it now prices ) , and ive seen auctions go pretty near to that sumn too. As much as i love and miss this perfume , im of the mindset that if im going to pay out £50 , then its going to be for something a bit more prestigious than Avon. However , i have been on the hunt for this scent for a while. I was lucky enough to get a set of 20 1ml samples , that ive decanted into a vintage scent bottle :) 20mls is better than nothing , and i only paid £2 including P N P. For thos of you desperate to have this frag again then you could do worse than look out for a Job Lot of testers yourself ! The scent is as sparkling and fruity juicy wonderful as i remembered ...yummy ! Yes its very similar to the "Escada" fruity scents. Im certain this would be a hit if Avon brought it back , i wonder if any of there Directors ever read Fragrantica ! great scent if you can get it , plus it seems to last quite a bit longer than other Avons (that I find to be far too weak). Sillage not bad for a cheapie either. Good stuff , but i wonder who these people are who are paying £50 a bottle !! The mind boggles , its not THAT good. Just been honest! PPS - Just re-reading the below reviews. I do agree 100% with "Action" , the Vintage Avons seem to be superior to whats been produced now by them. "Surrender" "wink" "Jour De Kasbahr" "Surreal" "Surreal garden " "Far Away" - all these were NICE frags , from the 90s if i recall correct ! Worth grabbing if your lucky to see them for sale :)

I was lucky enough to find a new bottle of Wink on Ebay for a decent price (the seller probably didn't know how popular it was). If you're looking for this, just keep looking, bottles and samples pop up on Ebay from time to time. It starts off both sweet and tart with raspberry and citrus at the same time, I can see why some people compare it to Escada fruity scents. By the drydown it's a soft, sparkling feminine scent... I get mostly raspberry and grapefruit, some currants, and a little bit of woods and watery florals. Very nice :)

It's a lovely, fruity and joyful scent in a gorgeous bottle which I can't forget - not really my type, so I gave it to my mom and she used it to the very last drop - such wonderful memories! But it has rather a sentimental than deep olfactory value for me;) Great mixture of grapefruit with red currant, some flowers and sunshine.

Fruity and fresh fragrance, not sweet in fact, I would say i feel blackberry and blackurrant (but description said there is only red..i don't know). For sure it is scent for happy times, always makes me feel happier and more unconcerned. Good for party, disco, club and holidays. Unfortunately it is not very lasting.

I remember having and liking this one.I was mostly into clean scents those days,so this perfume was a nice juicy fruity escape from my regular favorites.Definitely made me feel different and even younger,like it had a magic.Too bad it's discontinued.

I like wearing this scent when I need cheering up. It oozes fruitiness and makes you think of country rambles and berry bushes and beautiful summer days. It doesn't take itself seriously hence the name Wink. I think it was one of Avon's best efforts.

I wore this in summer 2005 & 2006, and i was constantly recieving compliments! My mum adored it too. So juicy, watery-fruity, sweet but warm.. Definately one of Avon's better fragrances. I'd buy this again if it were brought back.

I liked this but only had one bottle which is nearly used this is a fruity scent some friends also had it when it was around i think it was more suited to a younger market.

@alondrae7 don ́t be sad, Scent Essence - Blushing Raspberry is very similar maybe the same like Wink. For every Wink fans this is quite good compensation.

this perfume was so strong for me. I bought it without even trying on..so strong and disturbing,made me have headache.my mom also didn't like it.but maybe it's because I don't like fruity.I don't think someone who like soft and fresh perfumes would like it

I got this perfume as a present, I was unimpressed by the bottle. It was too sweet and gave me a headache. It is nice but too sweet for me, but it smells wonderful on my friend so I gave it away.

another one of those cheap a dozen fragrances that Avon throws on the market in spring... it's cheap and cheap and again cheap... you can barely make anything out of it.

extremely fruity and artificial smell, like washing liquid.

I won this perfume as part of a gift basket in early 2008/9, and although I used most of the products up, I never gave this fragrance a second thought. I was in my early twenties, and all about "sexy" fragrances. Don't think I even had a sniff of the bottle, and thought I'd eventually sell it, or give it away. Fast forward to today, and I stumble across this review page, so thought I'd give this fragrance a test... Isn't it jut a lovely little bottle of joy? I get the tartness of the cranberry and red current, with the grapefruit lending a bit of extra zing. It's a lovely fresh, uplifting scent, with the tart berries adding a bit of sweetness, to a transparet airy fragrance. This would be good for just out of the shower, or if you want to smell fresh and playful. Thanks for letting me finally experience this little treasure I wanted to throw out.

Siento un monton de dulce un poco de miel y agua con azucar y frutas super fuertes pero nada de flores para mi eso no es malo yo soy adicta alos perfumes frutales y golosos y rara vez a los florales sera por mi edad debo aprovechar a que me sigan las abejas y las moscas ahora que soy joven porque luego me veria como rara usando un perfume super frutal mayor o no ??? I have a lot of sweet honey and a little water with sugar and fruit super strong but no flowers for me that's not bad I'm addicted alos fruit and gourmet scents and rarely will the flower of my age I take to me keep bees and flies now that I'm young because then I should be as rare super fruity fragrance using a more or not??

I owned this perfume when I was 15 years old. For me it's very light, optimistic fragrance. I used to like fruity compositions when I was younger, and this fragrance went very well with me. I liked it most of all right after putting it on my skin cause of it's berry and fruity notes, I detected raspberry and cranberry in it. These notes were so funny, flirty and cheerful, a little bit sour.

Reminds me of my Aunt who has always been and still is a valued Avon shopper lol. She loaded us kids up with this stuff.....so it Redmond’s me of becoming an adult...my senior year and a few years after. Did get compliments on this though. Its the cheapest frag out here lol but good.

This was my first ever perfume! My Nana bought me out of her Avon book a LONG time ago... sadly no longer have it, although I remember not being that fond of it!(I was only about 12 though!) I'm now an Avon Sales Leader myself and really love a lot of the Avon perfumes!

It was one of the first perfumes I had, smells sooooo good, it's like a sour candy but with floral notes, I love it! A great cheapie one!!! totally recommended if you like kinda Escada perfumes!!! and fortunely I still can get it here in Mexico!!! :D

Tenho que concordar com a Taniatex. Aqui no Brasil houve mudança neste perfume, já que as descrições lidas aqui não conferem com o que eu pude experimentar dele e as notas descritas aqui não são as mesmas do site da Avon.

This is only good to leave in your handbag and spray on for the clubbing/party scene. Starts off with a burst of tingling raspberry and leaves a lingering stale and chemical odour. Very artificial smelling.

at opening like rhubarb then grapefruit, tart berries, lots of freesia, woody, musk with maybe a hint of rose; not watery or aquatic; dries down to a woody floral after the berries burn off

Lush, fuity berries, this fun, sweet fragrance is great for day wear or the young and fun-minded. Pity it's not available in the UK anymore, my daughter loved it.

i bought it from 2 years ago i really get a lot of comments on it it was very fresh and fruity as you like to drink it :) but now it's not avilable here in egypt

Eu acho que aqui no Brasil eles devem mudar a fórmula...eu não gostei,muito ruim,e não dura na pele nem meia hora.Dinheiro jogado fora.

A great fruity scent. I use it as a body spray though since it's quite weak. If they made it stronger it'd be a great party scent :)

this sounds yummy. Wish i had tried it before it was no longer available, :( I only got into avon perfumes around 3 years ago.
