Marine

It astonishes me they haven't sold this officially in North America as this is one of those you see in third party cologne stores and question if it's legit. As we know it is. Usually axe can have a bad reputation thanks to 14 year old school kids bathing in it but this is one of the ones why I keep coming back to axe for at least the body washes. We have Apollo, kilo and a lot of other similar smelling ones yet no Marine. If you're a fan of Black, Phoenix or possibly deep space this is for you as it's got some similarities to all of them. I would seriously buy a designer fragrance if it smelled exactly like this and lasted 8+ hours. Just don't get Davidoff cool water the "splash" flanker mixed up with the original like I did.

I feel very comfortable wearing this deodorant, at the point to don't use any parfum in addition. Feels aquatic and fresh, so it can be a problem if you don't like aquazone/calor notes. But if you like them, is so perfect that's hard to explain! Good purchase!

Axe's Marine was the house version of Davidoff's Cool Water, in the 90's. A well done deodorant + after shave + eau de toilette, harsher than the original, but still good. Good longevity & a clear sensation of cleaness all the way.

Love my 80s powerhouses and love this bodyspray fresh spicy typical late 80s aromatic fougere. I am so glad it is still in production. Perfect for warm/hot temperatures especially at night as it projects pretty good I'd say.

This was my jam back in 2009 when I was in Iraq. We had gobs of this stuff everywhere and since we didn't have perfume, this was the next best thing. Hard to find here stateside, but it is a fond memory of not such a pleasant time.

This smells like Paco Rabbane Pour Homme on anabolic steroids; virtually the same smell, just turned all the way up to 10 in terms of how loud it is, and how long it lasts.

Some say it looks a bit like Cool Water At the top of the fragrance , but it's not really Cool Water... There's a body spray on the market for $2 called AXE Marine is inspired by this fragrance. I didn't like the scent; others might. Perfumes are a matter of taste.

Okay it's my fault I didn't check Fragrantica. My body doesn't like aldehyde top notes, they make me very queasy... But this in aftershave form got me a lot more nauseous than all the other aldehydes I'd tried. Brut Oceans for instance is a lot nicer. This is the first time in 20 years I've felt the need to scrub something off.

While finding this on a discount rack for $2 I decided to push any prejudice or pre-conceptions about Axe fragrances aside (I actually like some of their shower gels) and for this price I couldn't resist giving it a try. So here it is: A strong nostril flaring blast of a stereotype deodorant/cologne smell, not horribly bad but really not that pleasant either. Fortunately it doesn't linger on the body for long. With so many wondefull fragrances to choose from why use this? However it does makes a dandy bathroom spray, nicer than Glade, otherwise as a fragrance it is rather nasty and useless. At that $2 price I purchased a few more to replace Glade, an appropriate use for this product.

I occasionally use the spray deodorant but it is nothing like the original. I still have a vial of Axe Marine After Shave from the time before reformulation. There is only a tiny quantity left in it, I am not using it, I keep it for the memories: The dry down of it evokes in me feelings of dark, sombre stoicism. I wish it was replicated with materials of the best quality. I am talking about the original.

This is not bad, but Axe has better fragrances. It is an ok cologne if you like fresh scents and you don ́t mind if they smell synthetic. I think for this price range it is well done but it has that Axe smell that makes it smell cheap. I also don ́t get much of a marine vibe from it. It smells more like a cleaning product.

They modified the formula since they changed the bottle design. The old one used to have 3 white bands on the sides. I still own it from like 20 years ago. Smells amazing and lasts the whole day. The newer one is crap.

Unfortunately they reformulated this some 8-10 years ago. The original in the old cans with the dome caps is way better.

If you want to experience a headache soooooo fast just wear it and watch
