This was a really fresh and bracing fragrance. It had green tones, but neither basil or lavender are things I recall about it. It totally wasn't groundbreaking in the least, but I remember my husband owning this, and although he never repurchased it, it was decent. It simply felt "green" and aromatic. I really think Axe gets a bad rap, some of these aren't nearly as heinous as people claim they are. I personally think they're just often oversprayed like hell, and the openings are EXTREMELY rough. You really, really need to reserve your opinion until 5 minutes pass, but especially the first 30 seconds of bugspray-tastic olfactory assault. In the hands of irresponsible adolescents, Axe can be offensive, but when used correctly they're quite nice.

Pulse is the only Axe scent I've ever tried, and it actually wasn't too bad. It reminded me of Brut deodorant, but it's greener and has a louder lavender note. The dry down is a woody variant of No19 and Silences. Certainly the ingredient quality is deodorant-grade and probably cost less than one cent per can, but the basic effect it achieves isn't awful. Fine for adolescents who are just embarking on their fragrance journey, but if you're older than 14, I think a bottle of Silences is a better buy.

Does any know of any perfume which smells exactly like this? Like the older formulation not the new ones.
