Turkish delight? Um, no but I can attest that it does represent a very nice Coconut Ice. For those who are not familiar with this achingly sweet and delicious school fete treat, it involves a large quantity of dessicated coconut, half a kilo of icing sugar, vanilla essence, some kind of liquid bonding agent and pink food dye. Coconut and vanilla therefore are very prominent here and I can also feel the tartness from the bergamot which I gather is supposed to represent that peculiar bitter quality real Turkish Delight seems to have. I can see where Ayala was going with the rahat loukoum reference but Caberet is too sweet, lacks a firm gelationus/powdery quality and buries its rose too deeply to make the grade. I would give it a try if you are fond of very sweet candy gourmands.

Rahat Loukum is infact an Arabic word. راحت الحلقوم It is one of the traditional kind of sweet confection of Iran. Somthing like jelly but sweeter and harder. It is very delicious and popular in Iran and some other middle eastern countries.

scented oil I smell coconut and something fresh like mint. maybe a bit nutty even like a soft peanut butter. the dry down gives a soft coconuty peanut on my skin. smell nice but I dont think its easaly wearable as perfume

To my nose there's nothing reminiscent of rahat loukum here. I only get some tart fruity-woodsy notes in the beginning then comes the velvet rose and in a while the sillage reminds me of forest LOL))
