Persianality

The moment I discovered a true indie niche brand based in my home country Iran, I knew I had to own at least one fragrance by them. I blind bought this and eagerly waited for it to be in my hands, and I am so glad that all my expectations were matched and exceeded. I went in expecting an OK woody fragrance, but what I got instead was a truly groundbreaking and unique blend of smoke, mosses, leather, and rose. A "chypre" in the truest sense of the word, this is one of the most earthy fragrances I've ever smelled. It opens with a beautifully sweet and spicy orange note, then like an eagle snatching its prey, it pulled me into a world of thick smoke and leather, that is balanced out with a voluminous rose accord and lots of mossy notes. From there, it becomes smoother and smoother until settles into a delightfully sweet and woody leather dry down that unmistakably retains the greenness and smoke that makes the fragrance unique. A huge pet peeve of mine in regards to indie fragrances is that they typically sacrifice wearability and pleasantness for "artistic merit", often resulting in a fragrance that does produce unique olfactory experiences, but it would never be something that you would want to smell like when you leave the house, go to a party, on a date, or to work. Persianality does a great job of being so smooth and balanced that it can pack a punch in terms of projection and sillage, while not being overwhelming. Ayliroma seems to be a trailblazer in Iranian perfumery, something whose absence has been sorely missed in the global fragrance stage considering the influence of ancient Persia on perfumes and scent. I am very much looking forward to trying more of their work.

یک عطر تلخ و چوبی شیک، اما نه تلخی که مزه زهر ماری بده. مثل یه شکلات تلخ یا قهوه اسپرسوی با دوز تلخی متوسط می مونه. این عطر دلش نمی خواد شورشو در بیاره تا اطرافیانو از خودش برنجونه، فقط گوشه ای از تلخی خودشو نشون می ده و بعد دلبریشو با رز و چوب تکمیل می کنه و کماکان ابهت و استایل خودشو تا انتها حفظ میکنه، یه استایل شق و رق و جدی این عطر کمی تنده پس به درد کسایی که رایحه های لابت و ملایم دوست دارن نمی خوره

یک فضای مرموز دودی چوبی چرمی که با رز مخلوط شده. جایی نوشته بود بوی جنگل های خیسو میده، که فکر کنم کار سرو و گالبانومش باشه. خیلی خوب این حسو منتقل می کنه. متاسفانه کمیاب شده اما از خود سایتش می شه خرید هنوز. به درد مجالس رسمی می خوره و مهمونیای انگلیسی
