Shining Layla

This smells nearly identical to Coya Laboya! 😍 it doesn't project more than 2-3 feet but has great lasting power. I got 6hr on my skin and 12+ on clothes on day one. This will be great after it has time to mature.

This might be my best blind buy of the year! A big glittering bowl of refreshing coconut greek yogurt. This is more what I wanted and was expecting from French Avenue’s lackluster release ‘Eclair Affair.’ The coconut there is kind of stale and cloying, ‘Shining Layla’ is a much fluffier sugary coconut. I purchased Azha’s ‘Sugary Dreams’ a month ago and while it was very good, I didnt super love it; This I really truly adore! 🥰

I thought it would be a solid blind buy based on the notes and reviews for this perfume. I purchased direct from Azha's website and it was ridiculously affordable. I just found everything about it off putting - there isn't anything strong about this fragrance and there is an underlying plastic like smell that won't go away. The notes indicated did not stand out in any way. On tester strip, on skin, morning and night - it just didn't get better. Not sure if I got a "bad" batch. While affordable, I still dislike wasting money. I boxed it back up and donated it.

Just got this and not really sure what to think. Feels like it’s gonna need time to mature it opens with a really strong almond which is almost bitter with just a hint of coconut then the dry down doesn't really make much sense I feel like once it matures and the vanilla and chocolate notes start coming though stronger, it will be something special will do an update in a couple of weeks. Ps this will definitely be great for layering maybe with a vanilla scent, I can imagine that combo will be chef kiss. Update: so, now after a week I’m starting to smelling coconut. things are starting to transform. The dry down is starting to even out now with more vanilla this fragrance is beginning to show me it’s true potential but it’s not quite there yet. But I’ll wait as I think it will be worth it.

Just wanted to Pop in here to say, if you have, Cake Temptations by Paris Corner or Risala Forever, then you really don’t need this. Pick either of the other two. They last longer and project better. Beautiful Gourmand scent profile these 3 are!
