Nocturnal Immortal

When love and death embrace. What a scent it starts off fresh, citrusy, and aromatic because of the rosemary, with woody undernotes, then, when it cools down a little, the lavender shines, and the scent gets deeper with the oud (which surprisingly it's not a stinker oud like some other fragrances of Azman). Overall, it smells green and sweet? It's just really well blended that I was actually unable to really make up the notes and instead just kept sniffing again and again. With all of that being said, the performance on this is pretty decent, and it's quite versatile.

This one is unexpectedly good (thanks to Mr. Rasquinet!). It is hard to pinpoint a single note or break it down. The perfume sounds like a whole. I don't remember smelling anything close to it; Amouage's Sunshine smells nothing like it. Very versatile and easy to wear. Not a true unisex, leaning masculine, especially when dries down to base, that is woody/oudy (not a barnyard), light though, not screaming. The start, however, is green and fresh—quality bottle, atomizer, and presentation. Highly recommend trying.

This fragrance reminds me of that old meme of the angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other. Nocturnal Immortal’s top notes mix a darkly earthy vegetative note with barnyardy oud and the animalic edge of labdanum. It’s at this stage that the perfume is most challenging. It’s heavy, it’s pungent, and it has a dark and ominous presence. After some time, though, the glowing and pure heart emerges- a classic, powdery and spicy immortelle. It’s beautiful. The deeper top notes are still present, but suppressed at this moment, and they just serve as support for the stunning immortelle, which projects a light and comforting feel. Like sunlight on a ripening field of hay. At this point the perfume has mutated from challenging to easy and cozy. Its better nature is winning. But before too long some of the darker notes re-emerge, and now we get the blend that represents nocturnal immortal. The blend of darker gothic elements with comforting daylight summer time smells. It’s almost a battle between the dark and light elements. To my senses, the light wins, and the fragrance stays mostly in the powdery cozy realm. For anyone who is a fan of immortelle this is a must try. Be aware though it has its challenges. Nocturnal Immortal lasts 12 hours on skin.

Cheerful modern woody aromatic chypre style composition built around an immortelle flower note that is not central to the perfume. The perfume opens with citruses, juniper berries and some fir. The heart has a subdued immortelle surrounded by rosemary and lavender. The perfume settles on a base of labdanum, vetiver, a hay accord and slight oud. The bright and happy unisex scent has moderate to strong sillage and very good longevity. It does require stronger personalities to carry off as it does announce itself boldly. Enjoy! At last azman is back with a wonderful fragrance Starting with the opening it was unique The whole experience was very good Throughout my enjoyment I couldn’t shake the feeling that I smelled this before Not exactly the same but something similar The dry down had a significant sweetness that reminded me of sadonaso It’s not particularly a clone but the notes seem to be close to each other so I’d say in the same line or family The performance was ok A good scent by the brand
