Two Minutes After The Kiss. A very well composed and fitting first creation from the house of Azman the house name in Arabic meaning "Hours" or "Moments" and no better a creation to launch a brand with than a Traditionalist rose-oud that is fashionably balanced and carefully designed. Two Minutes After The Kiss wears quite unique and a stand-out to other rose-ouds and feels in spirit to have been conceived scrupulously, focusing its uniqueness knowing that the genre is somewhat overdone in modern niche perfumery. This attention to detail has started the brand on a promising path. A rich high-quality Laotian oud with natural leathery and woody, resinous nuances is exaggerated further by a musky, gamey, and savory ambrocenide, honeyed, burnt, animalic beeswax and bitter, earthy myrrh. Much like the newer offerings in the line Two Minutes After The Kiss has a very French aesthetic, chypre-like in structure. I Am Darkness also wears as a chypre. Two Minutes After The Kiss contains a harmonious thick and boozy, turkish rose having tangy and refreshing citric facets that pair comfortably with the complex oud, resins, and spices to create a beautiful and burnt sourness with a natural jamminess that has a "smokey woods and tangy resins" feel and can be described as smelling Dark Orange or Crimson Red. A kingly composition that does not much reference anything I've smelt too closely. It throws subtle hints that recall the profile of the very beautiful, warm, resinous, fresh, citric oud that is Al Qurashi Blend by Abdul Samad Al Qurashi but the relation is slight and a random coincidence as this goes in different direction altogether while becoming woodier and more burnt. And finally under our refreshing, tangy, woody, and smokey profile there is a hum of alluring Guatemalan cardemom and sparkly Allspice seeds that add a vivid sparkle providing considerable lift, alleviating density to the wonderfully rich layers of this composition. TMATK is quite fresh, sleek and exposed and isn't a heavy wearing experience like a Xerjoff or a Roja. One of my favorite Rose-Ouds to date with Rooh Al Assam. I have also surprisingly received a compliment with it which is unheard of for most ouds in my collection. Easy to reach for and signature worthy but can be reserved for upscale situations. Unisex leaning male and a full day performer. Perfect stuff. Test first... 🪵🌹🍯 10/10

It’s very beautiful Rose Oud but it’s much more than that. It’s a mysterious blend where roses are surrounded by Pepper, Cardamom and Frankincense before it develops into a lush, passionate and sensual heart which is very rich with Patchouli and Oud. Some day you will notice more Beeswax and some day more Myrrh and not only the depth of the leather is changing like a chameleon but also creamy Sandalwood and Vetiver are performing in many different ways. The translucent rose blushes and pushes itself under the balsamic smoke of the luxurious Oud and it’s captivating and inviting. An amazing blend is very desperately romantic, it’s like an endless love. It is dark and sentimental, a little bit wistful, like the long night witch arrives after the sunset. It’s strong yet safe to wear, I liked it a lot even during hot summertime. It never turned out too brash despite it’s dense and complex character. Oh wow! This is truly something romantic and moody scent! Lemme tell y’all why! Two Minutes After The Kiss starts off with a pungent and dusty floral feel from rose and frankincense with fresh spices. It’s quite sharp but settles relatively quickly revealing an earthy Laotian Oud, the main star in this composition. Instead of being too smoky and dark Oud, Patchouli joins in giving a lively green lift. A sticky but quite dark resinous feel comes from (sweet) myrrh and beeswax. The sensuous oud scent is nothing without its better half to balance out the harshness of it, an airy rose which gives the soft powderiness. This romantic combo dances above a base of animalic facets from Musk and Leather, Amber from Labdanum and Ambrocenide and a touch of Haitian Vetiver which in here it is rather earthy and smoky. Ambrocenide is an artificial molecule used to push oud forward and gives the ambery woody facets. Sandalwood comes in and smoothens up the composition keeping it all harmonically together. In the dry down, it’s a perfect balance of bittersweetness. What can I say? Is 10/10 enough? No... 12/10!

Actually, I can't smell rose ouds anymore, but with Cristiano Canali as perfumer, I'm happy to make an exception. And what can I say: 'Two Minutes After the Kiss' is outstanding! Yes, it's a rose oud, but fortunately so much more. Cardamom, incense, beeswax, patchouli and leather are also involved and characterise the fragrance as it progresses. Especially the complex spiciness of the cardamom and the fixing properties of the beeswax make this rose oud so special, so different, broaden the scent, give it body. Two minutes ago, this fragrant couple may have been kissing intimately, but the camera moves further and further away from the kissers and back into wide shot mode, revealing a lush oriental setting. Great!

Rose oud is overdone. Or at least needs serious revamping, and. This. Has. Done. It! I am in love with this. The longer I have my bottle, the better it becomes, and each wear is a new experience. Today is cardamom and oud with a touch of rose, before it's been honey and oud, rose oud with a touch of honey, honied leather with some spice... I just wish it lasted longer on my skin. I hate respraying fragrances but this is worth keeping a decant in my pocket to respray because it's magical. Thank you too the previous reviewers who advised not to sleep on it! They were right.
