Azzaro Pour Elle Extreme

Azzaro Pour Elle was released in May 2015 to make pair with the classic Azzaro Pour Homme (1978). In March 2016, the brand announced the release of a stronger version, inspired by an Azzaro gala dress, revealing a carnal aura. Azzaro Pour Elle Extrême brings the same multifaceted bottle from the previous version, which was inspired by the mirrors of the showroom in the Parisian boutique. But this time, the shiny band is golden. Who signs the fragrance is Nathalie Lorson, who had the collaboration of Fabrice Pellegrin. The keynotes of saffron, rose, and peach were mixed in a composition that features head notes of Moroccan rose, green cardamom and saffron, followed by rose and lily, in the heart, on an intense base of frankincense, cashmeran, peach, and Oud. You can tell that there was an effort to keep the DNA of the previous fragrance, which makes me like the result even more because it's the kind of flanker I admire. So what has changed? Well, this extreme version has become fruitier and much more powerful. Once applied on the skin, the fragrance brings a strong peach content, in the same style as Nilang (Lalique). It even appears that such an ingredient was used at the top of the composition. Then, the saffron dances between the earthy and the sweet, and along with the peach and the rose, it ends up conferring a floral-honeyed scent, to the point of reminding me of fragrances that have notes of acacia or evergreen. As it evolves (slowly), it comes closer to the original fragrance. However, in this version, the incense is smokier and denser. And allied to the smell of agarwood (oud), it results in a very typical accord of niche fragrances. By the way, if it were a blind test, I would probably say it was a perfume from the Fueguia 1833 house. When placed side by side, both fragrances look very similar after a few hours of use. The point is that this extreme version exudes much more than the other. In terms of longevity, I did not feel much difference, since both are Eau de Parfum. I still believe it is a shareable fragrance, but the fruity nuance can come to bother many men, something that does not exist in the 2015 version. Somehow, I miss the champagne note, but I really like the notion of continuity that has been given, since it is clear that one serves for daily use (and mainly, daytime), while the other was made for special moments that demand more impressive perfumes, or milder temperatures. In any case, if there is still prejudice about the Azzaro house, it is about time for reviewing these concepts. The woman of Azzaro Pour Elle Extrême is the same, no doubt. What changed was just her perfume, which became more powerful.

At first spray I get a blast of what seems to be an aldehydic peachy floral mist. Kind of pungent but that does not last long. It is yummy and good and wow!!! I really like this one. It reminds me of Nilang by Lalique, which I kept beating myself up about not snagging it when I have seen it at TJ Maxx for about $18 USD. With APEE I can happily pass up that purchase with no regrets. This scent I bought because I loved and purchased Azzaro Pour Homme and wondered would it be a noticeable kin to that one. It is able to stand on its own wonderful merits. I find it is nothing like Azzaro Pour Homme, it is very feminine, even though it includes a note that is found in many male fragrances (cardamom). At dry down, which seems to take about 30 minutes or so, it flows into a very likable soft rosy/floral, oud and incense scent which lingers close to the skin. Even though it says extreme on the bottle, it is not so extreme as to be a bother or overwhelming to the point that it is off-putting. No, in fact, it is Extreme-ly wonderful! I found a tester bottle on Ebay for abt $17 USD. There appear to be others but you can expect to pay anywhere from $20 - $30 + USD.

I blind bought this perfume because of the cardamom in it. When I first sprayed it I didn’t like it assuming it would be another fruity nightmare but I was wrong. Within 15 minutes it dried to a beautiful powdery incense, cardamom, and woody scent. Love it! Wore it all day with great projection and scent trail. Took shower and went to bed. 12 hours later this perfume was still on me! My nose blocked scent before I slept but next day I smelled a strong powdery scent and this was still on my skin inside elbow areas! I can still smell a scent trail too! I did one spray each inner elbow area yesterday morning! Wow! I don’t smell the rose or oud but the powdery notes could be from the rose it is not a baby powder scent. No skankiness or animalic on my skin from oud it is very light. Glad I bought this and will wear it often in this winter cool weather. Once heat arrives I doubt I can wear it except at night maybe. Never over spray this perfume or you will choke people!

I bought my lady this one as soon as it was launched .. I prefere my lady smelling good every time she's with me because I'm touchy and so forth and she knows that. As soon as she smelled it for the first time she felt In love and I must say this one is the business indeed

It's a rare pleasure for me to be able to compare two fragrances from the same family side by side, and "family" is a very apt word to describe Azzaro Pour Elle and Pour Elle Extreme. The former fragrance is as the vibrant, shimmering maiden newly aglow with blossoming womanhood, while the latter scent is sumptuously evolved as a ripened, matured matron in her twilight. Azzaro Pour Elle sparkles with an enlivening freshness, courtesy of a champagne accord that gracefully tempers the rose and brings luscious cardamom-spiced tangerine to the party. This isn't a zesty citrus, but a deliciously jammy marmalade brightened by a sparkling wine gelee. The cashmere woods are freshly laid, as yet untouched by the patina of time. Pour Elle is virginal and pure, yet brimming with evocative, sensual curiosity. Conversely, Pour Elle Extreme is as a full bodied vintage wine: a darkly vermilion cabernet with notes of rich, roasted peaches and saffron-dipped rose. This is a seductive, spicy floral oud for a confident dame who craves a potent, heady redolence left in her wake. Of the two, Pour Elle has my heart, while Extreme has my reverence. She's too grand and all-encompassing for my desire, but on the right skin, Pour Elle Extreme would be purely intoxicating.

It's good, sweeter than original azzaro pour elle. Nothing special though... A bit disappointing... I do prefer the original pour elle, which I love and I think it's more versatile, more appropriate for everyday activities, office, etc.

In my head, I keep thinking this is a little scratchy. I just keep reaching for it anyway! The oud and cardamom in this are strong and dry. I kind of picture dried mud cracking, but it works somehow? 1 spray wonder for real.

Such a strong perfume...I hate Oud, but the Oud in this perfume is not anoying. I put it in my wish list :). At all I give it 8/10

The dry down is completely masculine :/ did not like that :(

این نسخه تقریبا ربطی به نسخه‌ی ادوپرفیوم نداره شروع میوه ای و غلیظ با تُرشی هلو که برای من بیشتر شبیه آلو بود و این نُت میوه ای در ترکیب با عود و ... حس تنباکویِ آلبالویی ترش و شیرین داشت این فضا به مرور با کم‌رنگ شدن میوه ها،زمینه‌ی قدرت گرفتن یک رُز نیمه خاکی و تُرش و گُلی رو فراهم می‌کنه که حرمی نیست هم عود هم رز،کنترل شده و ملایم کار شده اند با گذشت زمان عطر کمی به سمت پودری شدن میره مسیر عطر دگرگون نمیشه اما لبه های تیز عطر صیقل می‌خوره و دیگه خبری از اون ترشی اولیه و تند و تیزی نیست و ادویه ها هم بهتر حس میشن شیرینی متعادل‌ ای داره و در کل نسبت به نسخه‌ی ادوپرفیوم بهتره اما بازم گزینه‌ی جذاب ای نیست به نظرم -تست شده از نسخه‌2021- *************** scent:6.5/10 longevity:7.5/10 sillage:7/10 purchase value:3/10 ******* overall:6/10

This takes the central pepper-cinnamon accord from V&R's Spicebomb and slams it into a fruitchouli accord in the style of Coco/new Miss Dior. There's also a big, stinky rose note that comes in and out occasionally. It is suprisingly well-blended and pretty reasonably priced; however, for a similar feel (sweet spices with an edible rose note) and slightly more money, get Tauer(ville)'s "Vanilla Flash." Same vibe, vastly better ingredients.

This is so perfumey! It's a dark fruity-floral cuddle. The initial spray is pleasant but surprising and it smells so wonderful to me. It starts great and ends powdery, smokey and oudy. The notes blend together to create one glamorous scent. Later the incense comes through and for me, this scent gets better and better albeit lighter. I'm going to need to buy this and original asap because this smells amazing on me and the price is so great! --- EDIT a year later it's starting to remind me of dead flowers, so I'm not as fond as I used to be. I bought a sample of the original and I'm not a fan of the base note of cashmere wood, other than that it's great. I love the bright citrusy opening. Best worn in NZ summer. Intoxicating. I just can't love it idk why. -

I'm not a fan of this one. It's heavy and cloying. Very synthetic smelling rose with an overpowering rotting wood and myrhh-like tone. Sorry, it's a pass for me.

When I ordered this, I didn't think I was ordering this–it must've been some other Azzaro, though for the life of me I can't remember what it was. At first I was disappointed, looking at the box, wondering how I'd ordered the wrong thing. And then I forgot all that displeasure. Why? Because this is SO INCREDIBLE. It was mid-July when I first received this, and I was almost befuddled by how rich it was–and yet how well it worked with the heat, the sweat, the slowness. Now it's almost September and I'm unbelievably impatient waiting for autumn to roll in so I can see just how magnificent this is in a cooler temperature.

At first spritz...I was like..."OH NO !"...lol. I got peach/oud-ish vibes instantly...then..I waited...and the other notes blended in...saffron/rose, and the lily peeking in and out from underneath too. Yet another scent that should not be judged from first spritz. It needs to mix and develop with skin and chemistry....It then becomes chypre-ish to my nose and a bit of a classic/vintage vibe going on too, in the drydown stage. There is a sweetness that revolves around the other notes. A like so far,not sure if it will go from like to love yet.

Spicy, woody rose. In a creamy sweet way. Reminds me of Dahlia Divin Nectar with a huge dose of spicy oud thrown in. Long lasting with good sillage, I put on with a heavy hand and it was not cloying, however I love a heavy perfume. Having peach in the drydown makes this creamy and fruity, with a slight incense/resin. A like! (No oud in the drydown IMO) Great buy at $19!

Got a sample of this. Hate the opening but the dry down is quite something. I dont even know what it is but the smokiness keeps me going back to get a whiff of it on my hand and the longevity is amazing. Edit: incense....thats what it is plus saffron and cardamom...love it

The opening is really peppery to my nose. In fact, I started sneezing not long after. The dry down was an improvement but not enough for me to like this scent. I do love spicy scents but this one just didn’t do it for me.

I am a huge fan of the first one so if this is not a limited edition and I can get my hands on it, I would love to own this! Even the notes sound superb!
