Azzaro Pour Homme Cologne Intense

I've been sleeping on this stuff! Not sure if it's an intended "clone" of the original release of Victoria Secret for HIM but it's the closest replicated scent to it IMO. If you're a fan of the original release of VSFH that's been discontinued, you'll instantly get that nostalgic feeling. Nearly identical to it! Huge compliment getter, non offensive and the lime with the lavender is mixed pretty darn good. It's it synthetic? Of course! Most frags are; but it's a great fragrance that gives me a euphoric feeling I can’t describe. Definitely something sentimental about it. Easy All day wear. 5-6 sprays will get me about 4-5hrs before having to reapply. The lavender is very calming and softens the lime into a very nice date fragrance. I’ve gotta say it’s not a showstopper but it’s grossing on me every time I reach for it. Nothing like any other Azzaro fragranceI own. This one stands on its own.

Loved it from the first sniff! Bought it immediately without a second thought (usually I research and test a perfume before purchasing), and it's now one of my all time favourite perfumes. It smells so fresh, the opening improves my mood I can't get bored of it. Unlike the other summer fragrances that smell redundant. I live in a very hot area, temperature hits 50°C (122°F) in the summer! So it evaporates after a while during that time of the year, and I have to spray again and carry a tiny spray bottle. However, when I wear it during other times of the year (around 25°C / 77°F) the longevity and sillage is much better. I wouldn't recommend blind buying because I know my taste in summer fragrances is different than most people. It's worth checking out because it's underrated IMO. 9/10, Would be a 10 if it endured hotter climates.

This is excellent. I blind bought because of promotion to get Wanted By Night, and was pleasantly surprised. This open citrusy, very soft (not zesty), juicy candy-like, fresh, and happy - just puts a smile on my face. Some other fresh laundry-like notes. Base is "blue-ish" lavender but it doesn't overpower the citrus notes - citrus stays for the entire duration. Drydown adds some muskiness, boosting the fresh soft feel. I'd say the split is about 60/40 citrus/blue, maybe even with slight edge to citrus. In a way it's very linear but it's also a plus since it doesn't dry down to a generic base, but keeps the opening notes for the duration. This is so simple yet so good. I love it. BTW this doesn't even slightly resemble the original PH, very different.

I love this fragrance. It's so clean and elegant. Smooth and mildly tart lime. Calming lavender. Resinous mastic. Of all the fragrances I own, this showcases the listed notes most lovingly. It reminds me of a blend of farm-fresh essential oils sold at summer market. Hit it with some sun, and some breeze, and you're easily the best smelling man in a 100km radius. Update: I tried this out today in 40 degree (celcius) weather, and it truly holds up well. The lime is refreshing and bright, and the lavender emerges more assertively once the skin heats up. It's a lovely surprise in the middle of a hot and humid day. It's the opposite of heavy, syrupy weather. It's fresh and clean.

Mastic oil is expensive. It is also a top note. If you're ever been in contact with the resin, you will know that what you're mostly smelling here is not mastic resin oil but an illusion of it. Does it have a little? I cannot say, but it is certainly not adding to character neither to performance in this product. What I find is a nice citrus main scent with woods and musks to back it up, with decent enough performance for it's type: up to 6hs and it projects really well! Sweet as punch but clean in the base (no tonka-vanilla bs) and totally compatible with a modernized Azzaro for men line. Unique and rare to smell it is.

Absolutely stunning! A freshie with a tremendous backbone! The Lime / Lavender / Mastic trio is perfect with the Mastic being the key note both in regards to the character and performance. Very stylish and has its own DNA which last way beyong any expectations. This is much more than just a summer freshie flanker. a truly stellar release from Azzaro again! Love it big time and even beyond! Its signature material!

This smells nothing like the original. Lavender is the main actor here. It comes very close to Percival. Nice cheap option if you want a lavender base fragrance for spring and summer nights!

I wanted to love this so bad I love limes so I thought for sure I'd love this one, but then I sprayed it, and all I smell is a jar of jalapenos. Wtf did I get a spoiled bottle maybe?

90% identical with 24 H , same green/ yellow smell, but with ambroxan added here , makes it more consistent and lasting. Hermes is more elegant, this is more sporty and everyday.

I think it's really close to Chrome Aqua, just less aquatic and more citrusy with that juicy mouthwatering lime. Very solid spring and summer scent.

Not surprisingly no one has reviewed this yet since it has not hit the U.S. market and it's a warm weather scent. My review is based on a one time sampling (4 sprays on neck and wrists) and bringing a test strip home to compare. Just 3 notes people/ simplicity personified. You can detect all 3 notes throughout the dry down, but the lime takes a backseat to the lavender and Mastic after about 2 hours on my skin. On paper however you still notice it after 5 1/2 hrs. Its not a bright, sharp, juicy or sweet lime. Rather it has a bit of woody depth that comes from the Mastic I think. The Mastic resin is noticeable from start to finish, tied together with a hint of lavender that is hard to truly separate from the other 2 notes. The only thing I can compare mastic to is a mild resin, not really piney or sharp like turpentine that has a smell slightly reminiscent of pistachios. The mastic tree is related to pistachios. Nothing about this fragrance is sharp or pronounced, even in the opening. Everything comes across smooth, but not creamy. I have not sampled another fragrance like this before, so I have nothing to compare it with. It tends to be a bit linear (only 3 notes) but is enjoyable. I like it but don't love it. Performance was 5-6 hours in 7 degree celcius weather. I assume it could do much better in true summer heat. A bit classy but not black tie. Mature, but certainly not old school like my beloved Azzarro Pour Homme. The only connection to a barber shop vibe is the hint of lavender. I don't love it enough to spend 60-100 Swiss Francs on a whole bottle. Perhaps if it comes down in price in the future I would consider trying it again. Almost forgot!!! Who is this for? 25 and up I think. It is not for the guys who love Azzarro wanted. But the packaging and scent are certainly designed to be a more relatable to people under 50. Versatility? It really has to be your style. I don't see this as a jeans and t-shirt by the beach summer fragrance. Evenings out, date night, just not super casual. If you like it and can pull it off, it may work for you. But I would put in the same category as A.P.H. regarding versatility and style.

I've tried this a few times and it's one of those that I at first thought, 'hmm familiar, a clone perhaps?' However it's one of those I really enjoyed getting whiffs of, it radiated really well, great sillage and I kept wanting to sniff it, pretty addictive kind of a scent. There are surely more notes than listed but it's not complex either. Lasted around 6 or 7 hours for me. This could be a bit of a sleeper hit once it gets to discounters in a big way, it smells so familar but very good and invigorating, kind of has vibes of Hugo Reversed and even a touch of Dylan Blue along with something like Eau de Rochas Homme (particularly in the extremely fresh citrus opening). Yet another solid release from Azzaro.

If you have a big collection, this won't stand out. Is it a bad scent? Not at all! It's just a simplistic citrus fragrance. Which is very well balanced btw. In fact, Azzaro for me hardly disappoints: of all the fragrances i've smelled from them, there wasn't a single one that i hated or thought of it as gross. I agree 100% on the Eau de Rochas feel in the opening, as the citrus is of the light and juicy variety, very pleasant. Summer time high heat this performs very well, just like an EDT...about 7 hours on my skin give or take. Don't go out of your way to pick this up, but if you do find for a discounted price it is a very good choice for your summer "dumb reach" spot.

I now (finally!) own a bottle of this. I like it a lot, quite invigorating and super fresh. To my nose this doesn't even attempt to smell 'natural' in comparison to for example the much older 'Eau de Rochas' with which it shares some aspects, being a citrus forward, fresh, spicy & woody fragrance. A nice, contemporary, super fresh-spicy-green scent. I don't think it will appeal to everyone as it might come across as a bit harsh to some, however it's a strong release, a good flanker, the bottle looks superb too with that gorgeous gradient and smart black cap.

What I was seeking: a somewhat linear fragrance that was clearly a fresh mix of lime and lavender. What this is: a citrusy/spicy, almost peppery scent with okay performance. (I very much like my Taconic Lavender Lime aftershave splash and was hoping Cologne Intense might come close to that scent since, everywhere, there are only three notes on its pyramid: top lime and middle lavender. Since it doesn't come off this way, maybe I'll try layering my Art of Shaving Green Lavender Cologne with a lime-forward scent to get what I'm looking for.)

Beautiful fresh lime opening with lavender and a resin-y base. Perfect for a warm or hot day or night, spring, summer or fall. Very refreshing fragrance. Performance is moderate all the way around. At about 6 hours, still had a pronounced skin scent. Projection at arm's length for about the first 45 minutes to an hour. Although it's "Cologne Intense", it's an EDT per the Azzaro website. Nothing really in common with Azzaro pour Homme outside of the shape of the bottle. Speaking of which, the gradient on the bottle is pretty cool.

So I wore this today. And it’s definitely pretty good. Not your average fresh scent. It’s got a little bite. Definitely lavender heavy. It’s a good gentleman type scent. Very fresh but strong in the scent. Not that great in the performance department, but not bad. I got about 5 hours out of it. I recommend it if you’re looking for something different than most other popular designer fragrances.

The lime zings, the lavender soothes, and the mastic gives an almost piney, masculine weight to the base. This one is clean. A pleasant, easy wear for most any occassion; ideal for spring and summer days. Another great fresh scent from Azzaro. I'm impressed that there are people who dislike this.

I like it. I was even a bit surprised about it. Very nice lime fresh scent with hints of lavender. Great for summer days. Uplifting, safe and can garner compliments.

This was a neutral but a higher scoring neutral for me. So in a nutshell I did like parts of this fragrance but it's not a big hit in my world. I love lime and lavender so I expected this to be very pleasant,easy going scent good for everyday. However, this is nothing crazy but also not an ordinary scent as it opens up with a very zesty lime,mixed with fresh lavender but also has a weird herbal note that's slightly off putting (the mastic I suppose) This stays pretty linear but as it dries it does get a little smoother and more pleasant but not by much. I love the lavender in this and wish it was the main player but unfortunately that's not the case. In the air this is ok but if you take a deep sniff of this you get that nasty herbal note (that smells like jalapeños) which I saw another reviewer say this as well. Lol I also asked my friend to smell this as i was perplexed on how I felt about it and she said without hesitation, it didn't smell bad but reminded her of a cleaning product. So for me that caused this scent to be no bueno. Performance on this was 4-6 hours with decent projection for 45 minutes before it quickly died down to a skin scent. For the right skin chemistry this could be a great scent but just fell flat on my skin. Overall rating -6 out of 10 ! Not horrible but not great by any means
