Azzaro Pour Homme Édition Noire

Today I experimented Azzaro pour Homme Edition Noire at a mall, applying 3 sprays in the back of my hand. It has not been really a test, but I reached some conclusions: I liked it, although I was expecting a darker scent; It is not really as strikingly black as I expected, but it has an enough black accord to please a dark vampire soul like mine. It seems to me that it can also be enjoyed by "normal" spicy fragrances lovers and, above all, it seems to address the taste of the original "Azzaro Pour Homme" legion of fans. I do not consider it a similar fragrance of the original Azzaro, but it is certainly a very good "noire" flanker. Some measurements: - Longevity = up to 9 Hours - Sillage = 4~5 feet - Projection = It projected really well for the first two hours even if the sillage radius was a bit small. It was quite noticeable for the people that passed by me in the mall large corridors. I sprayed 3 puffs of an expensive fragrance from a different brand (2.5x the price of Azzaro Edition Noire) in the back of my other hand and the longevity/sillage/projection was inferior. I also must remark that it was not as agreable as this one (a matter of personal taste of my wife and I). Keep your scent high!

This is amazing. I get a subtle hint of suntan lotion (courtesy of the Coumarin present here) mixed in with the citrus and woody vibe ...kind of like coming back from the beach in the early evening or going into a beachside bar. Not necessarily fresh, definetly not sweet, but with a certain "round warmth" to it. Although i see this as a night frag, you can definetly use it during the day without offending anyone. I wear this on summer nights aswell, but wouldn't wear it on very hot nights/days. It became a favorite of mine not only among Azzaro fragrances but among my whole collection. Worth a blind buy. For the price, Azzaro delivers again!

Tried it today at Sephora - 3 sprays in the back of my left hand. It has not been really a test, but: - I did like it (but it's not a noir fragrance and I love dark scents) - Longevity - 8 Hours + - Sillage - 3 feet + (more than 1 arm length) - Projection - It projected really well for two hours or so. I had a very respectable upscale expensive fragrance sprayed 3 times in the back of my right hand and the projection was quite inferior.

A bit of the Azzaro pour Homme DNA seazoned with a Marmelade orange top that kicks a mugworth/sage fougére woodiness heart, and closes with a pungent animalic cumin and cedar woody ISO E Super. Magnific fragrance with a fantastic drydown, but more "gris" than "noir".

I do like the notes! I am eager to try it. I have not seen in Notino yet. As soon as I get it I will make a review.

I have 4 versions of the APH line. To me, this is the dumb reach APH for a wear to work in an close proximity office environment. It has more utility than that for certain. But if you want an APH type of scent, that has at least some identity to the broader APH line, that has a more modern take, with an added herbaceous vibe, this is the one. There is still the bitter orange that this line does about as well as anyone does. It's clearly an Italian style fragrance that performs mainly up close after 3 hours such as you would get from any Acqua Di Parma scent, equivalent in utility and quality, but at a more favorable price point, so consider this one in that perspective. As some have said, if you think of other lines "noire" labeled fragrances, this is a subdued level of noire. To me, it fits with the line as such. So, if this is noire to APH, then it is. It's actually a very good fragrance. It does still have that fresh from the barber shop vibe, but that's not a bad thing. To contrast it with APH Summer versions 2014 or 2015, it's a further more modern progression away from the original APH without straying as far as the Elixir version, which reminds me of Xeryus Rouge. In closing, you will get 3 foot projection with 3 or 4 sprays and a 6 hour intimate scent that you will still be able to perceive yourself faintly by the time you get home. It would make a great work safe scent for the office. It would also make a nice evening fragrance going to a restaurant, a mall, or to a movie. You will definitely smell like a well groomed gentleman. The herbaceous addition makes it a sort of comfortable scent to me. Of all the 4 APH I have, this is the one I am getting a backup bottle of.

2011 (L'Eau), 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 all had summer flankers to the original Azzaro Pour Homme, and then 2017 had... Edition Noire. In a crisp black bottle. NOIRE. Darkness! Rich black inky darkness! Nah, surprise: from an olfactory standpoint, it's just another entry in their summer flanker lineup, which essentially means "Azzaro pour Homme with extra citrus and a milder drydown that won't suffocate you in hot weather." Nothing night-time or wintry about this stuff at all. Take ApH and turn its intensity down to about 30%. Add zesty fresh citrus (orange, lemon) to the opening, some sharp dry-green artemesia and herbal sage to the heart for a few hours, and some INCREDIBLY dry woody notes a la Terre de Hermes Eau Fraiche to the base... all with the original's spicy fougère accord adding a subtle undertone of class below the featured notes. Great buy for somebody who collects Azzaro but wants to add a bit of that flinty-woody Terre de Hermes essence to their collection without interrupting their lineup of Azzaro bottles on the shelf. Poor choice for vampire souls looking for a proper "noire" fragrance.

If you're an Azzaro Pour Homme fan and a collector this is good to have. If not I would take the original before this one. This has the Azzaro PH dna with a ton of bitter orange on top. The iso e super is noticeable to. It's good to have and good to try but start with the original first so you can appreciate this Edition Noire even more. I give this a 8.9/10

smells like azzaro with a little bit of chrome /metallic notes mixed in I will note that the bottle is pretty awesome, it's got a brushed / rough metal feel going on. Very chunky and manly

How this offering got voted "enormous projection", I have no idea. I was expecting a bomb, what I got was a fresh, moderate projector. You honestly can't overspray this juice. APH Noire is just a nice, smooth, woody/orange Spring scent. Nothing really to write home about, but by the same token it's not bad at all either. It's just different enough to be respected, and garners a safe blind buy labeling. Purchase Azzaro PH Noire only if you wanna extend your Spring rotation with another no brainer crowd pleaser. Other than that, I wouldn't take the plunge. Again, it's a nice Spring scent that has a few merits. It doesn't immediately remind me of anything in my collection, but don't expect "rock my sox", either. I like Azzaro's Night Time flanker better than this release. UPDATE: I'm appreciating this scent more as time goes by. By my experience with Azzaro, they do bitter orange really well, as I'm a big fan of their Night Time flanker as well, which also shares the same note. Nore invokes a peaceful mood in me when wearing it. The green and wood underneath the bitter orange comes across very smooth... almost creamy infact. The sweetness of the entire composition is only slight, so the bitter note balances the scent out perfectly. I think I like this offering just as much as Night Time now. Men who enjoy the outdoors will really appreciate this one.

It has nice bottle and package. Bottle has traditional figure of azzaro pour homme in matt black color. Package made from high quality material and design beautifully. It smells like old women makeup tools to my nose. Somehow reminds me my childhood, about 30 years ago. Now is winter season, it works well but i want to try it in warmer weather to test it, maybe it results better. I will inform you. In addition, it doesn't have any similarity to original Azzaro pour homme, be careful. Mostly similar to Jovan Musk.

A must have for APH fan man! I will also this is a close to A masterpiece fragrance as you can get. It’s very sensual, pull her close to you let her smell your skin type of scent! Let me know, matter fact thank me later when she goes home with you! 💙💙💙

Smells pretty much like Azzaro Pour Homme except with the heavy cumin. It has a fresh powdery scent with the afternotes of cumin. I like it overall but not as much as the regular Pour Homme. Good performance overall.
