Azzaro Pour Homme Elixir

MY AZZARO POUR HOMME AFTER A SUCCESSFUL ADJUSTMENT I suppose that 2008 Paco Rabanne 1 Million is the best-selling fragrance family in the past 10 years. The nose behind the success of the 1 Million fragrance is Michel Girard. He also signed the creation of Azzaro Elixir in the following year. So far I never bought any flask of 1 Million but I do have a couple of its flankers and a pair of its look-alikes as well. I always considered that Azzaro Elixir shared a couple of vibes with 1 Million. Only recently noticed that they shared the same creator. Both perfumes were launched only with some months in between. For me, there is a big difference between the two. I do not like 1 Million, which I find a little boring and cloying, and I appreciate the Azzaro Elixir. Differences between Azzaro Elixir and 1 Million - my findings: - I do not like 1 Million, which I find uninteresting and tiring; I enjoy Azzaro Elixir. - Most people do not seem to share even a single note and consider them to be two unrelated fragrances. That is not my opinion, probably due to the notorious sweetness of both. - 1 Million is more sweet than Azzaro Elixir. - Elixir has a strong family tie with the original Azzaro Pour Homme. Of course does not happen with 1 Million. Concentrating on Azzaro Elixir... Except for the "Chrome" and "Wanted" family, Azzaro products are always confused with, or related to the original "Pour Homme". As a result, there is a pre-conceived evaluation that this brand of perfumes only edits "old school" scents, powerful but outdated. With the Elixir, Azzaro decided to keep the original DNA, but in a very clever way. The perfume is somewhat linear. The most noteworthy notes of "Pour Homme" are presented earlier, almost at the opening, which means that notes like tonka and oakmoss influence the development from the beginning, not just from the base. Using the lavender note, Michel Girard established a noticeable bridge with the original. Nevertheless, Elixir gives us an impression of novelty due to a different development. In the heart, Elixir presents an exemplary creaminess. The (wonderful) overdose of both benzoin and vanilla creates a vanilla cream effect that is very well blended with citrus and coumarin notes. At the base is served an intense fruity accord with blackcurrant and greedy pear notes. The traditional aroma of the Azzaro Pour Homme has travelled in time from 1978 to the 21st century meeting the market requirements. The bottle has straight lines identical to those of the original but more reddish. The scent's final result is a sweet, creamy, non-synthetic fragrance that retains the basic characteristics of the original Azzaro, pleasing the faithful fans with an obvious "Pour Homme" DNA, but conquering also new fans. Silage is good peaking at 5 or 6 feet and it projects well for more than a couple of hours. Longevity is about 9 or 10 hours with 3 sprays for the test. After spraying for a night out, I can usually smell the dry-down close to the skin in the next morning. I usually only apply 4 sprays, once on each wrist and twice on the back of my head (in the hair to be precise). Additional sprays may be overwhelming. I hope you enjoy this masterful scent as much as I do. The name suits like a glove as it is a true ELIXIR. One of my favorite fragrances. I’m not a huge fan of barbershop scents like the original Azzaro Pour Homme, Aramis, and other 80’s powerhouses. With that being said, this is not one of those. It’s masculine, yes. One of the most masculine scents I own. But it has a very fruity, spicy, creamy scent. The dry down is in my top 5 for dry downs. I absolutely love it. It opens very spicy. Almost a cinnamon accord and dark. A very fall/winter scent. It has berries, vanilla, and woods to give it some great character.. setting it apart from your typical winter juice. Once it starts to dry down it loses some of the spice and gets creamier.. the berries come through along with the vanilla and it turns into something you might want to drink. An elixir. My collection is mostly club scents, freshies, and gourmands. I prefer sweeter lighter scents, mainly fruit accords, and I’m very particular about my “mature” fragrances. They still need to be youthful and have fruits or a crowd pleasing freshness to them. This is one that stands out in my collection. Strong, sweet, spicy, fruity, smooth.. kind of an all in one juice. For the guys like me that don’t do spice, powder, or powerhouse scents, this is an amazing fragrance. Clear the nozzle and after you do the mid and dry down are incredible. Ages are college and up, but may be too mature for most college students. Could be all year round, but with the spice it would probably suit fall/winter the best. Don’t want to choke anyone out (including yourself) in the summer heat. Day to night, leaning evening.. casual wear, but may be too spicy and strong for a date. Not a club scent imo, unless it’s winter time and you’re wearing the right attire. I might try it the next time I go out (it’s December 26th) and I’ll see if I get compliments. I’m thinking I will. Overall.. amazing juice.

Azzaro Pour Homme reimagined with a healthy dose of benzoin , tonka / vanilla (giving it a dr. Pepper like spice) and some sweet notes. This is not that sweet though, it’s still a very strong masculine fragrance but it is smoothened out and a lot more modern than the original pour Homme. The pear and black currant are noticeable in the drydown but they come across less as realistic fruit but more as a sweet and slightly tangy accord kind of gummy-like. The dry down is also powdery. I know it sounds like this is a super sweet gourmand but in reality , it’s a facet on top of the already well known and established Azzaro pour Homme barbershop scent so it still ends up closer to that than something like a modern Gaultier or Emporio Armani. The herbal and oakmossy parts from the OG are still very much alive in this flanker. You have to remember this is a 2009 release so this is bridging the gap between old strong masculine chypres and fougeres and modern sweeter notes. I find this incredible and I think this would be a true revelation back in the day. Personally I wouldn’t wear the original (i find it a bit harsh and prefer barbershops like rive gauche pour homme or at the barbers) but I absolutely will wear this one a lot. It’s sweet but still serious. My bottle is from 2016 so it was kept in production for a while.

This is one of the most difficult reviews I've done - I just can't quite work out what this fragrance is. I love it though. First sniff, something sharp, a little synthetic. There's the oakmoss certainly, but that's tangled up with the bergamot and orange; citrus, but sweet, not sharp. Blackcurrant? Possibly, there's certainly some fruityness. Pear? Yep. Then that strange smell starts to come through. It's deeply spicy and a little aniseedy. A lot of people say licorice and I can sort of get the licorice root vibe. Maybe combine nutmeg, cardamom, and licorice root and you're sort of getting there. Labdanum is in the ingredients and there's certainly that musky, fruity, leathery, sweet, amber like smell. The vanilla and tonka bean mix starts to power through after about 15 minutes. If you imagine a generic powdery scent, then imagine that mixed with the tonka and vanilla, that's what it settles down as. Three sprays to the neck gave about 6 hours. My wife insists that she could still smell it nine hours later, but I'm not so sure. Sillage is moderate. Azarro Pour Homme Elixir; very good, well worth a blind buy.

Let's be clear here, and say it all very easy and simple: This is a real and great flanker of Azzaro Pour Homme, a true classic among classics - and probably one of the best men's fragrances of all time -. So there is little more to say.... Is it good? Oh, yeah, without a doubt. Expect the original DNA as a backbone of the fragrance, but masterfully blended with pear, black currant, vanilla and benzoin ... The result is a reinvention thats smells classic and modern at the same time, very manly and very attractive. IMO this scent has a “decadent vibe” that makes it inappropriate to wear in the office, but it’s perfect for cold nights in the company of your favorite drink, you can be sure... This thing is practically unknown, which perfectly matches its nocturnal and enigmatic character. Good. The juice has average longevity, moderate projection, a very addictive manly smell... Which it isn’t necessarily for seniors, but at least for confident guys. It’s s a forgotten, mysterious and fabulous fragrance. Indeed: A secret elixir.

YES! and Thank You, Azzaro! Elixir is my kind of fragrance, sweet with scent texture much like a fabric! To my nose; somebody really tried to craft a well-blended scent and they succeeded! The scent pyramid is correct to me, my only "con" to this fragrance is it doesn't last as long on my skin as I would like! I've tried a couple of sprays on the shirt I'm wearing and that actually seems to be the ticket; this scent is a night-time, mild or cooler weather concoction...I can't see wearing it on day sunny day where the temp is above 75 degrees. This is snuggling kind of fragrance rather than "notice me world!" type!This smells like a good scent for the 30+ crowd. Overall I'm quite pleased with the Elixir scent, if only it were longer lasting on my skin would it be flawless! If you decide to purchase, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Wish Azzaro made an Elixir after shave or moisturizer to compound or layer with...

When I heard that this is a Dr.Pepper like fragrance I was already hooked. I got it (I don't know if I somehow got an original from some stache in store or what but I got it and seems to be and OG) and I sprayed it and it hit me. This just reminded me of childhood, in Eastern Europe we didn't have Dr.Pepper for a VERY VERY LONG time, and when I smelled it I instantly went back in time to a store that had imported goods and had the Original Dr.Pepper pre EU reformulation (now it tastes like crap). I smelled it and it just reminded me how great the original Dr.Pepper tasted like. So yeah if you are a fan of the original Dr.Pepper pre EU reformulation get it cos it's literally the OG Dr.Pepper scent. It lasts fairly long, it has a decent sillage, but for what it is, I love it, I'd say it's a safe blind buy, it's very simple and pleasent, it's just nice is I think the best way to describe it.

Azzaro Elixir is the fragrance edition of what would be the original Soma of the gods. grown up with the classic Azzaro pour homme which i never liked, however had to wear it as it was the manly scent for a teenager as my mother decided to gift it to me. with the decades tried various Azzaro pour Homme flankers and even though most of them were more pleasant and to me even quite nicer than the public mens sauna and early 80's mens restroom aroma. have no idea how i dared and ordered Elixir from overseas, as a tester and instantly fell in love, it really has nothing in common with the original fougere, there is no hint of fougere here, this is a Sweet Vanila gourmand, and a perfection of such. i really hope it didn't go discontinued as it vanished from the market recently and ebay prices soared. please Azzaro discontinue one of your pointless releases from recent years instead of Elixir.

This is really linear. You get all the notes all at once, and they stick around until the end. Some people say they get a Dr. Pepper vibe from it, I get root beer. For sure a pop/soda/bubbly accord here. This reminds me of middle school, my cab driver for school always smelled great. This came out 15 years after middle school, but thats what I smell. Tonka, Black Currant, Coumarin and vanilla is what I get in the opening. This is a beautiful fragrance. Oh and no this is not a real elixir, its purely a name. The fragrance is actually eau de toilette. I copped it on eBay for $29. If you can find it for a decent price get it. Could be your signature fragrance, and I doubt many people even know this scent exists anymore other than us frag heads. 9/10

I really like oriental fragrances, and these are generally not a good choice for work at the office. This is an exception that seems like a professional oriental. It is high quality, somewhat sweet with vanilla, and spicy-fresh like you might wear to an office setting. It is pleasant to wear because it is not so strong that you would feel self-conscious about others being distracted by it. Not everyone likes everything offered by Azzaro, but it would be silly for them try to make everything equally liked by everyone. This is perfect, I think, for the population and purpose it is directed toward. This is not to say it is the elevator-music of fragrances. It is well-tailored like a good suit: comfortable and pleasant.

First time I tried this, I knew I had to get a bottle. It opens slightly powdery but, not feminine, rather in a masculine and fresh talcum powder kind of way. This is one of the BEST fougeres you can buy IMO. Notice there is no top, middle or base notes and that's in part what makes this unique. It's fresh talcum powder opening mixes perfectly with vanilla, lavender, various citrus notes, along with pear and black current which creates a fresh and clean offering while oakmoss, tonka bean and benzoin give depth. A unique smelling, hidden Gem, perfect for work or office settings. Spring/Summer/Fall

The opening is definitely medicinal, and there is a warmth, and a 'red' quality to this. I don't get nearly the amounts of vanilla and tonka indicated by the votes here, but they are there. I actually do get many of the notes listed, too, including the geranium and pear, or some similar fruit, and some floral and citrus notes, too. This is really enjoyable. Not terribly strong, but sufficient, and good for many occasions because of this. If the notes look interesting to you, it is most likely worth the risk to try it. It is not terribly expensive, and Michel Girard is good.

If I could only have ten bottles, this would be one of them. That is saying something. This scent has a lot going for it and I come back to it often and find new nuances to enjoy. This is deep, luxurious, beautiful, satisfying, and very RED. A real winner for Azzaro, and masculine as hell. You may think you don't know what that means, but, you really do know what it means. I really love Azzaro Pour Homme. I love Azzaro Pour Homme Intense also, and this is an outstanding fragrance as well. Three of my all time favorites that the house of Azzaro has really delivered.

This is one of the better Azzaro PH’s it is non linear starts out on the spicy side and it changes gradually over the next few hours to a Tonka ambroxen little sweeter scent, But it takes time to get there. If there is any likeness to hot water it would be in the final dry downs. But Elixir out performs Hot Water. This would be a spring, fall and winter cologne and day or nite would be fine. It is real long lasting 8-10 hours on me. But the nice thing is the sillage is not over powering. Blind buy, yes!

I am often surprised with Azzaro with how much better quality they are than what the price would indicate. This is an example. This is very good. I'm wearing it in very warm weather and it really is opening up into more of the notes that match the original Azzaro Pour Homme. It is really enjoyable, and surprising. I normally only wore this in colder weather, and this is a treat It is not quite as sweet as the reviews and notes votes would seem to indicate. Recommended.

this is a difficult one to review. because i absolutely hate the opening of this fragrance, it's loud, messy and lacks a certain base structure. it's like a grenade of bitter spices right in your face, not very pleasant. the drydown however is really lovely, the opulent vanilla gives the bitterness a nice warm and sweet touch. this perfume is not particulary bad, if you can get past the horrific opening, but i would not advice you to buy it ...

You know the feeling, when you smell first time something unexceptional. This one have it. True masterpiece, nothing like its original. Ordered 100ml after having a sample, because afraid of discontinuation based on price, invasion of new APH flankers and availibilty online. So, go get it while you can.

I find this fragrance exquisite, very underrated and unique. I agree with the cherry soda vibe, but there is this deep rich, slightly spicy and red vibe from the currant and geranium which is very good. It's never too sweet too, because you can feel the slight underlying of the OG pour Homme.

Just a great scent for a man. It smells like money pulled from a well worn leather wallet. The sweetness of fruit and spices combined with the Azzaro Pour Homme DNA in the base makes for a confidence boost and a reminder of how a real man smells. Classic and modern at the same moment. Tops!

I finished a sample of this and I must saying im loving this scent. I get some sort of sweet smell in the opening of this but im not entirely sure which note(s) my nose is picking up. I get lots of vanilla on the dry down which I love. I will purchase a botte of this.

IMO it is quite similar to Xeryus Rouge by Givenchy, in the middle (that's why I bought it). For me it's spicy and long lasting, changing. Sexy and hot frangrance :) which can be quite seductive. IMO for cold days - autumn, winter

Soft sweet and somehow bright, good for Fall Spring mornings and nights, office safe and very good performance, one of my dumb reaches in cool weather. I love it.

I've come to the conclusion that buying a new frag is like test driving a car. I may look amazing, but you need to take it for a spin around the block a few times before you get the feel for it. Day one I just gave one spray of APH Elixer down my shirt. Then for 3 hours I had this sweet, cloying, undefinable odor that gave me a bit of a headache. It was linear and gaudy. I was not a happy camper. I couldn't place any notes at all and thought I'd just wasted 29 bucks. Day two I gave a spray on both wrists and my neck. Was this the same bottle? I was greeted by a more mature, better definable fragrance. There was this mysterious fruity redness I could not place hovering over everything. But the vanilla and Tonka bean was easily definable. It seems that my nose at least needs to calibrate itself to any new frag it does not know. On my skin it does not have much projection and only lasts about 6 hours tops. By then its just a skin scent. But it does develop a sort of warm spiciness that mixes well with the vanilla and Tonka bean. I may give it a few days then come back and see what I find. For me it does not perform as I expected. But it is different than anything I own in my collection. Definitely a cool weather frag. It has potential. Maybe its smoothness confuses me. I'm used to frags with sharper, more definable notes.

Another "had to" blind buy, just to see how similar it was to Xeryus Rouge. I've been lucky enough to pick up a couple of Vintage bottles of XR - something I would wear all the time if it wasn't so scarce & expensive, so Elixir as a possible more common & affordable substitute just had to be tried. Well, yet again the reviews here prove completely worthy - Elixir is very similar indeed, not as complex, not as deep, missing the ultimate quality of Vintage XR, but nonetheless it's sufficiently similar to satisfy my cravings. Elixir, if anything, I find to have a bit more sour fruitiness to it - I agree with the Cherry Stones analogy from antonpan. I can sense the Geranium accord which bolsters it similarity to XR. On the absent side, It's lacking the chilli heart that I find so dominant in XR. With these initial differences, I can't deny that this comes very close to my favourite Givenchy......even the bottle shares a resemblance. As for sillage & longevity - I'm 3 hours into a couple of wrist sprays and the aroma is plainly wafting around as I type.....it seems to be perking a little and lasting a lot longer than I expected.....all adds up to a great all rounder. Very pleased - Love it.....can't say anything other than that. Thanks again to you all for some accurate reviews that takes the pain out of blind buys.

Bought a 100ml bottle of this at TJ Maxx last year for $10 on clearance, and it was one of my two favorites which I picked up from the same lot along with CK One Shock (which I picked up for just $7.50!). This has that underlying Azzaro Pour Homme DNA, but it's a lot more fruity and the opening is actually very warm and spicy which is weird because I don't see any spicy notes listed. One it starts to dry down it becomes very sweet and fruity. It's loud, it's long lasting. I had no expectations for this really other than that I love the original but I hate the performance on that one. This doesn't smell a lot like the original but it performs like a champ and it's more wearable for the modern man. I highly recommend this to someone who maybe likes those modern, spicy club fragrances but wants something a little bit more mature. This is perfect for that. I would say this would be best in the winter and fall nighttime for guys 30+, but you all know that's just a suggestion and you can wear whatever whenever the hell you want. This is a strong like, I'm gonna have to wear this a lot more this winter. I'll give it a 8/10

This smelled SOOOO much better on my skin than on the test strip; on the paper it was a meh for me, I really didn't care for the drydown, like it was too imbalanced - "clinical" is a vague description but the best I can think of for why I didn't care for it on the paper. On my skin it was a whole other story; the big "cherry" opening was the same for both tests, but something was missing on the paper drydown - evidently that something missing was me :) - or more specifically, the light musky touch we all add to our scents. I'm guessing the "cherry leather" impression really comes from the accord of the currant and oakmoss with the balsamics. It's very pleasant to my nose, and the lavender and citrics are quite noticeable in the drydown, uniting this with the original just without the original's trademark anise. The biggest difference from paper-to-skin that I have yet to experience, I am so glad I didn't give up on this based on the test strip.

This is the first time im smelling azzaro brand and i have to say im impressed with this one.But...WTF im smelling AGAIN xeryus rouge!!!The majority of perfumes ive smelled are like xeryus!!!Did it have such a huge impact on other brands?I cant get it as xeryus is the definition of generic and non inspiration... Now azzaro pour homme elixir for me is the "bridge'' between the old man scent and the modern sexy guy.It succeeds in that a lot.The opening is a harsh old man smell,but in the drydown it becomes a thick,heavy,creamy and dark cherry smell which is awsome. Longetivity is 4 hours but maybe cause the sprayer sprays a small amount of juice.So its below average per spray. Projection could be better.its within arm length after half an hour. This one would score higher if i didnt get the resemblance with xeryus rouge,but a guy who enjoy xeryus will LOVE it. Overall score: 7.5/10

Finally got a sample of this to try. It opens sharp, sweet and a little alcoholic. In 5-10 minutes it settles and you are presented with a very pleasant sweet version of original Azzaro Pour Homme - yes it is like Azzaro Pour Homme + Givenchy Xeryus Rouge but with sufficient bias towards the sweet, Ambery side if things as to make it a standalone from either. Not a loud shouty fragrance by any means but delivers an admirable scent bubble that others detect and appreciate as you pass by. It is refined, mature, smooth yet spicy. I was a one time devotee of Xeryus Rouge in my 20's but like some have said found there was a slight oddity about it too. Now in my 40's -ahem- I think I have been persuaded to switch........to Azzaro Pour Homme Elixir - sorry Givenchy. I have to get a bottle of this now - it's really good. Watch out Autumn - here we come! 😁

This was a blind buy based on the reviews here and for the most part they match my experience. I get mainly vanilla and tonka bean with some cherry notes which must be the blackcurrant i suppose. the problem i have is that Elixer has minimal projection. an hour and then it turns into a skin scent on me though it has decent longevity as i can smell it on my clothes hours later. which kind of instantly puts this into my intimate occasions only section which is a shame because i like the "cherry" notes, almost makes this a gourmand, smells like a chocolate truffle with cherry filling. I suppose some days the perfume god of blind buys smiles, other days he smirks!! 6.5/10 EDIT the vanilla dry down is absolutely gorgeous. such a shame it stays so close to the skin. wish azzaro would release an intense edition.

Very interesting...and very likable. There is Azzaro Pour Homme dna in this...but "underneath". I get anise/pear/floral/vanilla....mostly....and IMO...to my nose. Benzoin/lavender/moss....gives it the "fougere" vibe. Very interesting and likable. There is Azzaro Pour Homme dna in this. I really get anise/pear/floral/vanilla/benzoin.....with lavender/mossy vibes which creates the "aromatic fougere" vibes....but IMHO..on me...I get florally/anise aspects more..(?). The drydown gets some powdery elements as well. IMO....the "reminds me of" section above....???....is only due to the "red bottle effect" mentally....just sayin'. Not remarkable, but yet unique.....and glad I have it in my collection. Performance seems good so far too.

I hate the cool metallic vibe of azzaro's "homme" scents, coming from the typical signature lavender note by azzaro i suppose, but this one is the most acceptable flanker of them. i don t find it sweet btw - yes it has vanilla, but i don t feel it a sweet vanilla and not at all dominant, it s more a balmy and "tasty" one and it just tunes down that harsh metallic vibe i don t like. Down the base it becomes a bit warm, woody and mysterious, rather sexy when i put my nose in his neck. My husband purchased it, because he like azzaro homme but i do utterly hate, as an alternative, and yes, on him i do quite like it, but it isn t love love and will never be. Interesting scent and lasting. Sillage discret, what s a good thing.

This fragrance packs longevity but lacks projection. It's literally a soft, skin scent soon after application. It opens with a burst of smoky, dark berries. The pear and vanilla combo really give off a soft, red berry gummy candy vibe. It's not feminine by any stretch. It's the proper way to do a fruity men's fragrance that still remains masculine by society's standards. It dries down with the dark red berries turning into a smooth vanilla and the oakmoss becomes extremely metallic and dominates the basenotes. I will admit, I've received multiple compliments while wearing this (it's not my favorite). If this was less smoke and more smooth fruit, it'd be my signature scent.

A great underrated fall/winter scent. I don't love the initial spray. It's a little sour at the beginning and then the drydown is really nice and smooth. I'm always a little hesitant with vanilla. I've always found tonka bean to be a better, more versatile version of the sort of creaminess you can get from vanilla. But the vanilla and tonka bean combination works really well with the pear note and doesn't seem cloying at all. It's really just that initial spray that isn't great. Longevity is really good. I can still smell it on me after about 8 hours, but projection stops for me after about 4 or 5 hours.

Very bright, sweet, and fruity at the beginning that in no doubt is designed as a pretty hook to ensnare casual browsers. It dries down into a long lasting fruity-powdery scent which IMAO is simply way too feminine for most men to contemplate wearing. Almost an instant skin scent in cold weather as projection is much poorer than expected. However it does pop well from the skin at temperatures of 12c and above, which leads me to class it as a warm weather scent. I love Azzaro as a house of wonderful men’s fragrances, but I doubt if this will ever become a classic like the original ApH.

The idea is good. Make a modern, fresh oriental which is reminiscent of the original Azzaro PH. The execution, openingwise is perfect. Cherrylike, watery, sour and spicy type of smell with unmistakable original notes of Azzaro PH in the background. However after 1 hour or so it loses its strength and its cheerful character and becomes a very dry and spicy fragrance. If the drydown had more character I would rate is as an excellent fragrance. It is still good though. Good longevity, average sillage. Overall 7/10

I have both Azzaro Elixir and Xeryus Rouge. And I have to tell that they are absolutely not similar! At all! One can tell by a second if it's Elixir or Rouge. Not to offend anyone but, I am so bored of that some persons find fragrances similar ONLY because the color of their bottle are similar/or because those fragrances are made by the same house. And that's the case here too, just because Elixir and Rouge have red bottles some find them similar. C'mon!

Think the original Azzaro PH barbershop scent. Essentially a spicy shaving cream scent, and then you add this fruity, hot pepper thing over the top of it. Those who have smelled Xeryus Rouge will recognize this "red" accord. I personally really like it, and it lasts a lot longer than the original. Good fall and winter scent, could maybe be a nice Christmas or Thanksgiving fragrance.

This really does smell like Givenchy Xeryus Rouge but darker! This has an old casino feel to it which is nice. It's a dark and manly cologne with not to much sweetness like the descriptions might say. I give this a 8.2/10. I don't get much sweetness but it is dark and smoky with some fruitiness. Definitely a great one to get if you're an Azzaro Pour Homme fan.

A fruit powdery scent with one or two notes that remind me of the classic aZZARO pH. Nice smell, with an opening that announces a resemblance with Joop Thrill, but that evolves to a charming aura, quite different from Thrill's evolution. It lasts a long time on my skin and would be perfect for colder nights. I think it could be a bit overpowering in the heat.

A unique dark fruity/spicy concoction with a woody/fruity dry down. Longevity and silage are both moderate to good. As someone said below, it does have a sort of Dr Pepper/Cola vibe going on. Also in the dry down, I can sort of smell a slight aniseed note. Elixir is a pleasant and unusual perfume with a nice character. It's a definite love from me

I cannot believe it had been released in 2009, it has not the modern vibe, but I like it very much. I do not remember very well the top and middle notes, but the base is Vanilla and Lemon....it brings to me the smell of Shalimar ! leather and incense make the difference.

This is Azzaro on Fire. If you like Original Azzaro you will enjoy this flanker. Good sillage, decent longevity. A bit deeper, smokier and maybe even a tad sweeter in a peppery way. At under $25 for 100 ml if you LIKE Azzaro, you wont be disappointed.

Pretty good sweet and fruity, masculine mens fragrance... not as good as Azzaro pour homme but definitely better than azzaro pour homme cologne intense

It's a good fragrance. A kind of sweet and delicately hot perfume that should be used at night in cold weather (<70o F) to seduce. Very elegant.
